My wife and I rented the Pinecrest cabin for three nights four days and it was amazing. Very secluded very quiet no problems at all there wasn't a hair dryer as expected and the service within an hour had me a hair dryer and some extra wood that was bought and delivered very nice. The beds were extra nice for a good night's sleep the shower were amazing the fireplace was amazing the hot tub was amazing the front porch was very relaxing. On the third day we have ventured out to tweetsie railroad blowing Rock which I haven't been in over 50 years and really had a good great time. Looking forward to our next reservation and trip. I highly recommend this location and will definitely be staying again

Jun 03, 2025 · Alan NewmanWe just returned from the Bear Creek cabin after a long weekend for my son's wedding at Sky Retreat. This was a perfect location. The cabin was very clean and well stocked with the essentials. We would love to come back in the future with our dog and rent one of the pet friendly cabins.
Apr 07, 2025 · Michele ZVery happy with our experience at 36 North Cabins. Check in was a breeze and check out was smooth and easy though we had unfortunately misplaced a tv remote, other than that the rules are very simple and easy to follow. We weren’t here for long just for the weekend to attend a wedding. The only reason why this place isn’t getting 5 stars is because the road to get up to the cabin can be very dangerous when it rains and that we were missing one of the double beds in our rooms. We had a bed in the loft area which is was fine, but apparently there was only one bed in the second bedroom when in the picture it was two.
Apr 17, 2025 · Nicole PristerBeautiful place for a family to completely unwind and truly take in all of NC beauty!! Kids enjoyed hiking, playing in the creek and relaxing in the hot tub with amazing views!! We already can't wait to book our next stay. Highly recommend!!!
May 26, 2025 · Amber BarrettWe just stayed at 36 North Cabins Pine Crest Cabin for a week stay. We really enjoyed the cabin, it was a very quiet area which really allows you to disconnect from reality. The cabins are very spread apart which is really nice (you can’t really see the cabin next to you). It is a very peaceful area however I would definitely make sure you have a 4WD vehicle if you plan on going; the road is gravel and very much uphill. Overall we really enjoyed our stay. We had 2 adults and 2 dogs and had plenty of space! I will say in the pictures it showed a spice revolving rack however when we arrived there weren’t any spices in the cabin. It also has spices listed in the guest portal; that may be worth updating. Also, in the guest portal it lists extra blankets however we were unable to find extra blankets in the cabin. We found an extra comforter however it would have been nice/beneficial to have a blanket in the living room for night time :) The master bedroom also could use some TLC in relation to the furniture. The nightstand-only the bottom drawer opens correctly; the top one gets stuck and you have to pull it open. The clothes chest also has 2 drawers and top one works perfectly fine but the bottom drawer doesn’t work almost at all (it’s like impossible to open or close it-appears the drawer tracks are broken). Lastly, my biggest negative was being able to get ahold of staff. Our first night there, we ran out to Walmart & Aldi to grab a couple of things and I closed the door but out of habit I locked the bottom lock on the door and the electronic keypad. When we returned we were locked out of the unit because the electronic keypad doesn’t unlock the bottom lock. I called the number in my emails 919-893-4424 however it was after hours and there’s no option of “for after hours or emergency dial XYZ”. Luckily we are able to get into the master key box to get the master key to unlock the bottom lock however I’m not sure what I would have done if I was unable to figure out how to get into the master key lock box. I believe there should be a better way for clients to communicate with staff during their stay at the cabins. Overall, we had an awesome stay and I would return despite my minor complaints above. We stay in MANY cabins due to traveling with our pups very frequently and this cabin was the first one that had:dishwasher pods, washing machine pods, windex, dish soap, a sponge, trash bags, more than a starter roll of paper towels and toilet paper and Lysol in the bathroom for cleaning. I was very impressed with these surprises and they were very much appreciated. The washer, dryer, hot tub all worked perfectly with no issues. If you’re considering booking this cabin, please do so. You will not be disappointed!
