Resort location is on the lake side. Rooms are around $115 but it is quite old. But it is worth the price. You will get a private lake beach in the resort. They have free Kayaks, peddle boat, motor boats for your use with $20 refundable deposit. During my stay there were very few people and we were around 15 people stayed in different rooms and we felt like we had a private resort only for us. It was a wonderful stay and will visit again.
For those exploring "Hotels Near Of Me" with a desire for a tranquil lakeside escape, Alpine Village, located at 3054 Lake Shore Dr, Lake George, NY 12845, USA, presents itself as a compelling option. You can reach them by phone at (386) 299-8003 or mobile at +1 386-299-8003. This introduction aims to provide a comprehensive and objective overview of what Alpine Village offers, drawing insights from available online information and, importantly, the experiences of real customers.
The primary allure of Alpine Village is its idyllic lakeside environment. Situated directly on Lake George, guests are afforded unparalleled access to the serene waters and picturesque surroundings. The resort's location is a significant highlight, offering a private lake beach that truly enhances the feeling of a secluded getaway. This direct access to the lake sets Alpine Village apart, making it an ideal destination for water enthusiasts and those seeking a peaceful retreat amidst nature's beauty. The environment is one of quiet charm, providing a stark contrast to more bustling commercial areas, and allowing guests to truly immerse themselves in the natural splendor of Lake George.
Alpine Village emphasizes a service model that prioritizes guest enjoyment of the lake. A standout feature, widely praised by guests, is the availability of complimentary watercraft. Visitors have free access to kayaks, paddle boats, and even motor boats, subject to a refundable $20 deposit. This offering significantly enhances the value proposition, providing opportunities for guests to explore Lake George at their leisure without the added cost of rentals. This amenity is a huge draw for families, couples, and individuals looking to engage in water-based activities like paddling, fishing, or simply cruising on the lake. The convenience of having these options readily available within the resort premises adds greatly to the overall experience and sense of a private recreational area.
Regarding the accommodations, customer reviews indicate that the rooms, priced around $115, are generally considered to be "quite old." However, despite this assessment, guests frequently note that the price point makes it "worth the price." This suggests that while the decor and furnishings might not be modern, the value proposition, especially when factoring in the private beach and complimentary watercraft, is compelling for budget-conscious travelers seeking a lakeside experience. The older aesthetic contributes to a rustic, unpretentious charm, aligning with the "village" aspect of its name rather than a contemporary luxury hotel. It's a place where comfort is prioritized over cutting-edge design, fostering a relaxed and informal atmosphere.
A unique aspect highlighted by a guest was the feeling of having a "private resort" due to a low occupancy rate during their stay. While this might not always be the case, it underscores the potential for a very intimate and personal experience at Alpine Village, particularly during off-peak seasons. This sense of exclusivity, even when the resort is not fully booked, adds to the appeal for those seeking a quiet escape from crowded tourist destinations. The communal areas, including the private beach, benefit immensely from this sense of space and tranquility, allowing guests to truly unwind.
While the overall experience at Alpine Village is largely positive, some customer feedback points to areas for improvement, primarily concerning housekeeping and kitchen amenities. One review noted that there are "only 2 people doing housekeeping" and mentioned "a few complaints." This indicates that housekeeping services might be limited or stretched, and guests might experience some minor inconveniences related to room cleanliness or servicing. A specific recommendation was to "bring your own sheets if you can," suggesting that the provided linen might not meet everyone's expectations for freshness or quality. Furthermore, for guests planning to cook, it was advised to "bring pots if you're going to cook because theirs are old and rusty." These comments suggest that while the facilities are functional, some aspects might be dated and might benefit from updates or more robust maintenance. Guests who plan to utilize kitchenettes extensively should be prepared for basic and older equipment.
Despite these minor shortcomings, the overwhelming sentiment from guests is one of enjoyment and a desire to return. The "great location" and the "accessibility to the lake" are consistently praised as the strongest assets of Alpine Village. The complimentary kayaks and paddle boards/boats are repeatedly cited as major contributors to a positive stay, offering immense value and fun. This indicates that for many visitors, the benefits of the lakeside location and the free recreational activities far outweigh the minor issues related to the age of the rooms or the housekeeping capacity.
In terms of promotional information, Alpine Village likely operates on a model that emphasizes its unique selling points: affordability, direct lake access, and complimentary water activities. Given its more rustic and established nature, it may not feature extensive promotional campaigns typically associated with larger, newer resorts. Instead, its promotions might focus on seasonal rates, special deals for longer stays, or perhaps packages that combine accommodation with specific local activities, though specific details are not available from the provided information. It's advisable for prospective guests to directly contact Alpine Village via phone to inquire about current rates, availability, and any ongoing special offers that might enhance their stay, especially if they are planning a trip during peak seasons or for extended periods.
In summary, Alpine Village on Lake George offers a distinctive experience for those searching for "Hotels Near Of Me" with a focus on natural beauty and outdoor recreation. Its primary strengths lie in its superb lakeside location, private beach, and invaluable complimentary access to a variety of watercraft. While the accommodations are described as older and some minor issues with housekeeping and kitchen amenities have been noted, the overall value and the unique opportunities for lakeside enjoyment make it a highly recommended destination for budget-conscious travelers and families seeking a charming and activity-rich retreat. The serene environment and the feeling of having a private slice of Lake George contribute significantly to a memorable and enjoyable stay.

Sep 06, 2021 · Leidy MoralesWhen I go on vacation, I like to relax in a quiet, serene environment. Alpine Village is the perfect place! Buildings are a throw-back in time when everything was made in America and made to last. The prices are reasonable and there's always friendly people visit. The Ipish family, Ernie and Lillian, know how to run a business. Breakfast is always a great feast! Nice location with access to lake, pool, beach and walking distance to town.
Oct 04, 2022 · John SteedI would not recommend this for a place to stay. My family and I stayed here this past week. Our bathroom was infested with ants. I couldn’t ever wash my daughters bottles and leave out to air dry because of the ants. Even our tooth brushes had to be put away after every use. The bathroom sink was also leaking badly. The whole side of counter was soaked and the floor would constantly be wet after every use. The beds are hard as a rock. It was like sleeping on the floor. The rooms might have coffee pots but you can’t use them unless you bring your own coffee. The pool was only vacuumed once the entire week therefore by Friday it was full of sand. We brought a electric griddle (one we bring everywhere when we go away) to cook breakfast on. We have never had a issue using it. On our 4th day after finally getting the sink fix we received a rude letter about how it is against their rules to use this. Mind you the owner said it was fine two days prior to it. The rooms aren’t cleaned. Even the ones advertised to have maid services. They literally only bring you new towels and toilet paper. If you stay in a room near lake. Be prepared to lug everything up and down a hill that you packed because there is no way to get your car near your room. I would not recommend staying here. I would look elsewhere.
