We had a great stay here. A tiny bit of trouble checking in, as they hadn't correctly assigned our room type, but the front desk agent fixed it for us. They really saved my bacon though when I left some expensive clothes behind in the closet and they kept them in lost & found until I could arrange for their shipment back to my house. I felt they went above and beyond communicating throughout and I was extremely satisfied with the resolution and getting my clothes back. I'd be more than happy to stay here again! I also appreciated their included breakfast and the fancy coffee options, it was a great way to wake up.
For individuals and families in and around Fairfield, Connecticut, who are searching for "Hotels Near Of Me," the Best Western Plus Fairfield Hotel at 100 Kings Hwy Cutoff, Fairfield, CT 06824, USA, is a property that often appears in search results. As part of the Best Western Plus brand, it aims to offer a step above basic lodging with enhanced amenities and service. This introduction provides an objective and detailed overview of the hotel, combining its general offerings with specific insights derived from real customer experiences.
Environment and Location:
The Best Western Plus Fairfield Hotel is situated on Kings Highway Cutoff, a location that offers relatively good accessibility within Fairfield. While not directly in the bustling downtown area, this position often translates to easier access from major roads and a less congested immediate environment compared to urban centers. The address suggests it is in a commercial zone, likely surrounded by other businesses, retail establishments, and possibly some dining options. Fairfield itself is a desirable town known for its charming downtown, coastal access, and proximity to several universities, including Fairfield University and Sacred Heart University. This makes the hotel a potential choice for visitors to these institutions, business travelers, or those exploring the Connecticut coastline. One review mentions that "greedy owners allow Semi Trucks to park behind the building," implying a specific environmental factor related to noise and air quality from truck idling, which is an important consideration for potential guests.
Services and Amenities:
The Best Western Plus brand typically provides a range of amenities designed for guest comfort and convenience. A key feature highlighted by a positive customer review is the "included breakfast and the fancy coffee options," indicating a complimentary and appreciated start to the day for guests. This is a significant draw, especially for those looking to save on dining expenses. Free Wi-Fi access is a standard expectation and likely provided. Parking facilities are also available, though the issue of semi-truck parking being too close to the building raises concerns about space usage and proximity to guest rooms.
Regarding other amenities, one review notes that the gym "closes at 10pm," which some guests might find to be an early closing time for fitness facilities. Room features include a small refrigerator, though a specific complaint about it being "locked with Flat-head screw pin on the coldest temperature of level 6" without an easy way to adjust it is a notable operational issue impacting guest convenience. The phone system for reaching the front desk also appears to have a "common issue" of not working, which can hinder guests from seeking assistance.
Features and Guest Experience:
Customer reviews present a mixed, yet very detailed, picture of the Best Western Plus Fairfield Hotel, highlighting both strengths and significant areas for improvement:
The dichotomy in reviews is quite stark: while the basics of cleanliness and bed comfort are met, significant operational and environmental issues, particularly regarding noise and potential safety from vehicle emissions, severely impact the overall guest experience for some. The "tiny bit of trouble checking in" for one guest, though resolved, also points to occasional procedural glitches.
Promotional Information and Value Proposition:
The Best Western Plus Fairfield Hotel, when searched for under "Hotels Near Of Me," likely promotes its brand standards, comfortable accommodations, complimentary breakfast, and convenient location in Fairfield. Its value proposition would typically emphasize these features. However, based on the recent customer feedback, potential guests need to weigh these advertised benefits against the reported challenges. While the hotel offers amenities like comfortable beds, clean rooms, and a free breakfast, the significant issues with noise from truck parking and internal renovations, functional problems with in-room appliances (refrigerator, phone), and perceived lack of proactive customer service (beyond specific positive instances like the lost & found) could detract from its overall value for guests prioritizing peace and seamless operation. The phone number for inquiries is (203) 659-2200 or +1 203-659-2200. This contact information allows prospective guests to directly inquire about potential noise mitigation efforts or any recent changes to address the highlighted concerns before booking, which would be advisable given the detailed nature of the critical feedback.

Jan 22, 2025 · Eric BrophyHorrible. First of all... greedy owners allow Semi Trucks to park behind the building, I assume they place their building parking lot into some rental websites for Semi Truck parking, these huge trucks - they make noise, sometimes they unload cars to make noise, sometimes they park weirdly infront of your room's AC while causing a concern of idling & CO2 blast into your room. On top of all this insanity, staff drills holes in walls, slams doors from the closets that are next door to rooms. All this drilling noise and door slamming starts at around 9am or 10am. Check out is at 11am, and if drilling and door slamming didn't wake you up.... then noisy cleaning lady will come and knock on your door at 10:35am to wake u up. Unfortunately, me forgetting to hang "privacy please sign" has resulted in telling her 3 times "no thank you, cleaning is not needed" she still knocked 4th time again after 30 minutes which woke me up again... haha. Rooms don't have freezer, and small refrigerator is locked with Flat-head screw pin on the coldest temperature of level 6, therefore all items can freeze in your fridge unless you have a flathead to adjust this horrible plastic pin to lower level of refrigeration. In my room... phone button that is for front-desk dial didn't work and always showed busy sound, I spoke to front desk people about this, and they seem to know about this common issue of phone system not reaching to the front desk. It seems to be a small family operated business by Indian family, they are ok.... they are not rude but they are also not friendly. Gym closes at 10pm which I think is too early to close gym. Beds are comfortable and AC/heat is good. Rooms are very clean. But sleep is more important and safety from vehicles sending CO2 directly into the AC was my concern. I think vehicles should not be allowed so close to window AC.
Mar 14, 2025 · Alexander AlexanderI feel as if I have struck gold. I’m in and out of Connecticut a few times a month for work. I was bouncing around from one hotel to another for a few months, then I stayed at the Best Western Plus at Fairfield. The level of service and the proximity to great dining as well as Metro North, all in walking distance. It cannot be beat. This truly is a budget hotel with five star service and a great location. Thank you to my Best Western Family, see you again soon. James
Jan 28, 2025 · Jamie YurwitzIf you like a good hotel breakfast, this is the location for you. Rooms comfortable, easily adjustable thermostat, big TV's, nice bathrooms, clean, easy check in process. Would gladly return.
Mar 02, 2025 · Ben MonatWe recently stayed in this wonderful hotel for three (03) weeks! The staff at the front desk was super friendly and helpful, the location was so convenient, the complementary breakfast was perfect to start everyday, our room was nice and clean and the standout: it was serviced everyday! We were so lucky they upgraded the tv system during our stay. The parking facilities are free, safe and convenient. We definitely recommend this hotel and are looking forward to our next stay here!
