As a distinguished entry in the "Hotels Near Of Me" category, Bluegreen Club Lodges at Trillium offers a unique and upscale resort experience, nestled amidst the breathtaking beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Cashiers, NC. Located at 48 Links Dr, Cashiers, NC 28717, USA, this resort is designed for those seeking tranquility, natural splendor, and a refined escape from the everyday hustle. It's important for prospective guests, particularly local users, to understand the distinct environment, services, and features that define this mountain haven, along with key considerations for planning a stay.
The environment at Bluegreen Club Lodges at Trillium is truly its most prominent feature. Situated high in the Blue Ridge Mountains, the property boasts winding roads that lead to spectacular views and a serene atmosphere. The resort is part of the larger Trillium Links and Lake Club, a private community situated on 750 expansive acres and surrounded by verdant mountain beauty and the sparkling, 1,400-acre Lake Glenville. Guests can expect lush wooded trails, pristine lake views, and the majestic presence of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The overall aesthetic is one of clean, well-maintained natural surroundings, providing a perfect backdrop for relaxation and outdoor activities. It’s a place where the mountain experience extends to your accommodation, offering a deep connection with nature. It’s worth noting, as some guests have pointed out, that while the surroundings are beautiful, amenities and local conveniences are not within walking distance, necessitating a vehicle for exploration and supplies. The closest Walmart is approximately 40 miles away, emphasizing the secluded nature of the resort, making it crucial to arrive well-prepared with necessary provisions. The winding mountain roads, while scenic, should also be factored into travel plans. The property itself is described as clean and well-maintained, contributing to a pleasant and visually appealing stay.
The services offered at Bluegreen Club Lodges at Trillium are tailored to provide a comfortable and enriching stay, often emphasizing the self-contained luxury of the condominium units. The resort offers spacious two-bedroom villas and even more expansive 2,000-square-foot three-bedroom presidential villas. These units are designed with high-end furniture, featuring ultra-cozy fireplaces, wall-mounted flat-screen televisions in spacious living rooms, and fully-equipped "island" kitchens, making meal preparation convenient. Bathrooms often come with marble and tile accents and dual vanities. Each unit typically includes a washer and dryer, enhancing the convenience for longer stays. Complimentary wireless internet access is available to keep guests connected. Front desk services are available from 7 AM to 10 PM, with staff noted for being wonderful and helpful. Check-in is at 4 PM and check-out is at 10 AM. On-site parking is available at no charge. It's crucial to understand that many resort amenities, such as the seasonal outdoor pool, hot tub, tennis courts (both indoor and outdoor clay courts), and fitness room, often require advance reservations, sometimes with a two-hour notice. This reservation system manages access and maintains exclusivity, reflecting a more adult-oriented leisure experience rather than a free-for-all family resort. Additionally, the resort does not allow pets and maintains a strict non-smoking policy in units. Housekeeping is available on request, and concierge services are provided to assist guests with their needs during their stay.
Key features of Bluegreen Club Lodges at Trillium contribute to its reputation as a high-end mountain retreat. For golf enthusiasts, the resort complements one of the most challenging and scenic 18-hole championship golf courses in the area, Trillium Links, designed by Morris Hatalsky. The golf amenities include a practice range, instruction, PGA professionals on staff, and a golf shop. Tennis players have access to both indoor clay courts and outdoor lighted hard courts for night play, along with a tennis professional on staff. The resort offers a seasonal outdoor pool, a hot tub, a fitness center, and a sauna. For those seeking relaxation, massage therapy and spa services are available. Given its lakefront location on Lake Glenville, boating, canoeing, and kayaking are popular activities, with a marina on-site offering boat, canoe, and kayak rentals. Fishing is also a readily available pastime, with streams teeming with trout; some areas even have privately stocked streams and ponds. The extensive grounds lend themselves to hiking and nature trails, inviting guests to explore the winding streams and wooded paths that often lead to picturesque waterfalls. The resort is designed to be a peaceful escape, and while it offers these activities, the emphasis is less on bustling, immediate access and more on planned, serene engagement. This is reinforced by feedback from guests who note that it is "not kid friendly" in the traditional sense, as spontaneous access to many amenities is restricted by the reservation system and the overall quiet atmosphere. For those who enjoy hiking and seeing waterfalls, the location is ideal. The resort's emphasis on luxurious, self-contained living in beautiful natural surroundings makes it particularly appealing to adult couples or groups looking for a tranquil getaway, or for those whose primary interest is activities like golf, hiking, and enjoying the serene lake. There are also croquet lawns and a Serenity Chapel on the property, contributing to the diverse offerings for a refined leisure experience.
Regarding promotional information and guest insights, Bluegreen Club Lodges at Trillium is often highlighted as a destination for unwinding and reveling in the splendor of nature. Its appeal lies in its secluded setting and the high quality of its accommodations. The resort encourages guests to customize their vacation experience, whether it's through golf, lake activities, or simply relaxing in their well-appointed villa with a fireplace and stunning views. Guests can sometimes find opportunities to book directly through owners on various platforms, potentially leading to savings compared to retail prices for timeshare rentals, which are a common offering here. Promotional materials often emphasize the luxurious condos and the array of outdoor activities, such as boating, hiking, and golf. However, it's vital for prospective guests to heed the candid feedback from past visitors. Several reviews underscore that this is "not kid friendly at all," due to the reservation requirements for amenities, the lack of immediate walk-up access to pools and other facilities, and the distance to child-focused attractions or readily available shopping and dining. For example, guests have mentioned that amenities like the pool or hot tub might be closed or require a two-hour notice for use, and even then, swimming might be limited to a two-hour daily window. Grocery shopping can be a significant drive, with local stores in Cashiers potentially having higher prices, reinforcing the need for preparation. Therefore, while promotions might highlight the wide array of activities, it's crucial for prospective guests to understand the operational nuances and the resort's likely best fit for adult travelers seeking a peaceful, self-sufficient retreat with planned excursions rather than a highly active, spontaneous family vacation. The serene and exclusive nature of the Trillium Club environment is a key selling point, making it suitable for those who prioritize a quiet, luxurious escape amidst nature's grandeur.

Mar 05, 2025 · Angel WilcoxWe had a great experience. The staff was super friendly. The home clean and had everything we needed. We can't wait to go again.
Jan 23, 2025 · Reggie LewisVery quiet, a little overwhelming to navigate but once you figure it out, you don't need gps anymore. Town seems further away than it really is. Activities manager was very kind and my kids enjoyed coloring with her. Golf balls hitting the house was unique but it didn't hurt anything, was just kinda funny to figure out what that noise was. The parking is done in a way that it's highly unlikely a vehicle would get hit by a golf ball.
Sep 01, 2024 · C DWe stayed in a presidential, very nice! However, google maps doesn't get you to the right place half the time. Wish it was more mountain views and not golf course. Also, could never find the Trillium lake house. It's pretty close to everything considering it's location. Lots of local shopping and scenery within a 10-30 minute drive.
