We’ve been coming to Country Gardens for years, but lately, experiences haven’t been as good as they used to. Some of the wait staff is rude, and will charge you for things you didn’t know they’d charge you for. For instance, we had salad bar and a pizza. We used our extra ranch from the salad bar to dip with our pizza, and the waitress charged us for extra ranch. seriously!? It would have been thrown away otherwise. Not to mention, Country Gardens raised prices again on top of an already pricy menu. Yes, the food is usually good, but not that over the top—this is Soldiers Grove, Wisconsin—know your customers. Most people can’t afford it.

Great little place in the heart of the driftless area. Food was great, had a salad bar that was stocked well. I can't eat lettuce and asked for some fruit which wasn't out and they even gave us extra. Very accommodating for food sensitive.

The bartender was not very friendly. No welcome, just standard what can I get for you and spent time on corner talking to friends. Ordered salad bar was excited for soup but board was weird with working so we read wrong, the beginning wasn't the souo special but soup ready to package. So it was actually seafood which we dont like. My appetizer was brought out about 4 minutes after the meal. To top it off we were trying to eat and the bartender was talking to her friend about going to the dells and how her kid gets car sick and throws up. Exactly what we needed to hear while eating lost appetite and got to go box

This was my second time here since the new owners took over. We were a group of 4 and there was 5 others in the bar. Bartender acted like she didn’t want us there, took over 10 minutes just to get 3 sodas. Food order was placed all at the same time but I was almost finished with mine before she came back and asked if we had gotten our other food yet. When asking for a refill on drinks she acted as we were such a bother! Food was great tho! 5 stars for that.

Made reservations for 5:30. Seafood being served at 5 per advertisment. Arrived early and seated. Unable to get seafood platter and other basic seafood. Was able to get skewers which was 14-15 shrimp, maybe 1.5 pieces of corn cut to 4 small pieces and maybe 2 hotdog type meat cut in 4 pieces. Good but costs $29.00. (2 skewers). Ordered crab legs as listed for additional price. Waited over 1 hour +. Waitress very sympathetic and managed to get us a 10% discount for the wait. The steak my husband ordered was cold as well as the au ju. They informed us that they ran out of crab legs when they delivered our meal. Also out of garlic potatoes by 5:30. Talked to another customer and they had 5:00 reservations and they were not able to get much choice in their selection of seafood either.
