I came here while on a long trip traveling to meet my boyfriend. This was the worst hotel I have ever seen. My first room had a disgusting sink and no towels. I went and kindly asked to switch and the second room had stained towels, bedsheets and many cockroaches, and i was able to snag some pictures of small ones before they scurried off. I’m a young woman, and there were sketchy people outside. By the time i got to my second room it was about 11pm. There were people outside and i didn’t feel comfortable leaving and so i tried calling the front desk and couldn’t get ahold of them. I tried the national booking line and they finally got ahold of them. Smoke detectors were covered or missing and sprinklers were covered by hand towels. Blood (?) on sheets, stained towels, stained sheets, floor definitely not cleaned. I was offered to move a third time. I asked the front desk worker (who was sweet and he knew the rooms were bad, it’s not on him), if i moved again was it more than likely to have pretty much the same problems with cleanliness with the last room and he said probably, and he knows some are better than others.

Frequent and serious complaints include:
These consistent and severe negative experiences, particularly regarding basic cleanliness and safety standards, are critical considerations for any potential guest. The feedback strongly suggests that the hotel's current condition and operational standards fall significantly short of expected hospitality norms.
Given the detailed customer feedback, the Days Inn by Wyndham Harrisburg North, despite its brand affiliation, appears to face substantial challenges in delivering a consistent and acceptable guest experience. Typically, a Days Inn property promotes itself as offering "friendly hospitality services and the best value for your budget." For those searching "Hotels Near Of Me" with a primary focus on cost-effectiveness, the hotel's potentially lower price point might initially seem appealing.
Standard promotional offerings from Days Inn by Wyndham usually include free Wi-Fi, complimentary breakfast, and participation in the Wyndham Rewards loyalty program, allowing guests to earn points for stays. The hotel also highlights its pet-friendly policy and its access to major attractions. However, the recurring and severe nature of the negative reviews, particularly concerning cleanliness, safety, and basic room functionality, significantly impacts the perceived value proposition. Potential guests are strongly advised to exercise extreme caution and consider the extensive negative feedback when making a booking decision for this particular property. While it theoretically offers proximity to Harrisburg attractions, the reported on-site conditions suggest that the primary concern for many recent guests has been the fundamental quality and safety of the accommodation itself.

Apr 18, 2025 · Amber StrapponiHorrific conditions. If you have kids definitely do not step foot here But I would not suggest staying here for any reason at all. You are basically paying For a dirty room with roaches and mice, An incredibly unsafe environment, And untrustworthy staff. I booked this hotel and upon arrival Felt uneasy about what I was seeing. I asked the receptionist if it was safe to stay with kids as I was alone with my two children, and she responded that it was a great location and incredibly safe. Thank God, my kids weren’t with me because upon walking to my room, I passed a man Smoking a cigarette with a hypodermic needle in his hand, When I entered the room, there were Cockroaches on the floor, The bathroom floor had blood on it, It was dirty. The towels and linens were stained it. I turned around and went to go back to the front desk and the trash cans outside are overflowing, which also smell horrible. I told the front desk I could not stay and asked to speak to someone about the conditions she said management would contact me and that I would receive a full refund and I have yet to hear from anyone three days later and the charges were processed on my card for my stay. It’s impossible to reach anyone at the location also.
Apr 15, 2025 · Devyn DodsonI'm extremely disappointed with my stay at this hotel. The facilities are not well-maintained, with issues like cockroaches and drugs. The staff seems overwhelmed, with one person handling multiple responsibilities. I was also unhappy with the lack of breakfast options and the inaccurate advertising of amenities. Furthermore, the customer service was unhelpful, suggesting I return to the hotel to file a complaint. When I did speak with the front desk, I was met with a dismissive attitude. I hope Wyndham will take steps to address these issues and improve the overall experience for future guests.
Apr 16, 2025 · Jessica HoffmanAsk me if there is one thing good about this place? None. Rooms that are supposed to be private have curtains that don't close. Doors that don't have proper safety in a bad neighborhood. Floors that are just sticky and yuck. Toiletries and towels provided look like they are ready to be used as Rag clothes. Rooms are extremely smelly and the bed even is extremely smelly. Those two things I can't post pictures for the odor. But check it out for the rest of it. To top it off, if you walk in they charge you premium too! If you book through a reputable site like Expedia, you still get the same kinda bad room. This is my 3rd bad experience here. I thought the first 2 were accidents, but no. On my part, not noting down which hotel I had a bad experience with in my previous visit is my fault. But I am never coming back to this place. Just dirty! They don't even sanitize the rooms properly after being used by another customer. Loud banging on my door overnight with too many shady people hanging outside all night. Not a safe place. I didn't even get a proper night's sleep with this one. Best to stay away, pay 20$ extra and book decent rooms. This place is a dump and a health hazard.
Feb 23, 2025 · Monison PanickerWe were in two different non-smoking rooms and both had the smoke detector disconnected and smelled like cigarettes. The linens were stained. The radiator, when turned on, smelled like it was burning. The shower was dirty and had other people's hair on the walls, and we found a cockroach in the room. The staff seemed nice and allowed us to change rooms when we asked, but the quality of the room didn't improve. Would not recommend.
