Unacceptable Standards of Cleanliness and Maintenance Our recent stay at the Hilton Hotel in Dunwoody, Atlanta, was deeply disappointing due to glaring neglect of cleanliness and maintenance. Evidence of Neglect: Mold Issues: Inside the coffee maker, we discovered visible green mold, posing a serious health hazard. Mold was also present on the sink in our room and on the wallpaper near the windows, where damp conditions caused algae growth. Such unsanitary conditions are unacceptable and dangerous. Overgrowth Outdoors: The bushes behind the hotel were overgrown, contributing to a poorly maintained appearance. Gym Neglect: The gym was left in a neglected state, with dust-coated equipment and dried sanitizer residue, showing a lack of proper upkeep. Room Conditions: Cleaning Negligence: The quality of room cleaning was subpar. Towels were either missing or insufficient, requiring repeated requests to housekeeping. Basic toiletries like body wash were not readily replenished, leading to multiple unused bottles cluttering the room. Dust Accumulation: The ceiling vent had noticeable dust buildup, which further detracted from the cleanliness of the room. AC and Moisture Issues: The room’s air conditioning system caused excessive condensation on the windows, which soaked the wallpaper and led to visible green algae and mold growth. This is highly concerning and poses a risk to guests’ health. Staff Efforts: Despite these challenges, the staff made commendable efforts under difficult circumstances. The gentleman who checked us in and the lady at the front desk during the day were polite, professional, and helpful. Impact on Hilton’s Brand Image: It is incredibly disappointing to see such low standards at a Hilton property, as this does not reflect the level of quality and reliability typically associated with the Hilton brand. Guests choose Hilton expecting consistent excellence and attention to detail, and these failures erode trust and tarnish the brand’s reputation. Worst Case Possibilities: The presence of mold inside the coffee maker, along with other neglected conditions, could have led to severe health risks. The moisture-related mold and algae growth on the walls further compounded these hazards, making the stay uncomfortable and potentially dangerous. Conclusion: While the staff’s efforts were appreciated, it is clear that management has failed to maintain basic standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and guest care. Until these serious issues are resolved, I strongly advise potential guests to explore alternative accommodations.

Issues with insufficient or missing towels and inconsistent replenishment of toiletries have also been noted. Some guests have experienced problems with air conditioning functionality, leading to discomfort. While staff efforts to address issues under challenging circumstances are often acknowledged, these recurring maintenance concerns indicate areas where the hotel may need to improve to consistently meet the high standards typically associated with the Hilton brand. Potential guests are advised to consider these varying experiences when making their decision.

Apr 25, 2025 · davies mThe hotel is directly off of the interstate. Check in was fast and simple. Derek was super nice and explained everything in detail. They have a nice bar and restaurant. I didn’t eat there but it was nice. Parking is free which is a huge bonus and you get a warm cookie at check in. The room exceeded my expectations for the price. Nice comfy bed and a refrigerator. The bathroom was nice with all the necessities in the shower. The hotel was nice and quiet. It’s close to many restaurants. Not walking distance close but a quick drive to whatever you want to eat. I am definitely returning.
Feb 10, 2025 · Marjorie ThomasCheck in was a breeze. The room was very nice and clean. We drink a lot of coffee so they were happy to bring extra. If you like the Battery at Atlanta or the Braves, this is literally right next to the stadium. Less than 5 min walk from anything inside the battery which is perfect. Would definitely stay here again.
Feb 23, 2025 · Nick TI have visited this hotel several times from out of town for a collectibles show that is regularly held there. The hotel is a little dated, but the rooms, staff and food and beverage have always been great the times my son and I have visited. My one quibble would be an odd experience I've had a recently. The trade show is held in a big meeting/ballroom on one side of the hotel; for the past few visits, one side of the room is visibly darker than the rest of the room: like hurt your eyes kind of dim. If you are there to buy and/or sell collectible items, getting a good look at them is usually pretty important! The odd thing is, we looked at the ceiling, and a good few of the recessed lights on that side of the room were clearly covered with some kind of tape or dark cloth. It was almost as if they were covered for another event where partial darkness was needed, and then never uncovered. It just feels a touch unprofessional to the vendors who probably paid good money to be at the event to sell their items; and from the customers side, who wants to spend money on a collectible you can't see properly! We travel from a decent distance to stay at the hotel and attend the show through the year. We will really have to reconsider if this doesn't get fixed. Sometimes it's the little things that matter; a maintenance tech could bring in a 10 ft ladder and pull off the tape in 3-4 locations in a matter of minutes. The fact that it's remained there for a while now always make you wonder what other things might be overlooked that aren't as apparent at first glance.
Jan 03, 2025 · Steven GOverall, my stay was great. Although the AC in the room would make a loud noise every so often, the room was clean, comfortable, spacious, and well-appointed. The service was fine (nothing special), and the hotel was well maintained. The location was good and easy to navigate. And the cookies were good. I would recommend this hotel.
