This is an older hotel with a lot of character. It reminds me of an old ski lodge. Lots of wood in the lobby as well as the rooms. The rooms are a bit bigger and set up nicely. The bathrooms have been renovated to bring them up to date. I am a fan of character, so I liked this location with two exceptions. First of all, they lose a point for having small 42” TVs. You can have character with good amenities and all hotels at this point should have at least 50” TVs. Also, I think all hotels at this point should have some sort of snack shop, especially now that Hilton has gone cheap and closed most of the lounges. All in all, it is nice quaint hotel in a good location, and I enjoyed my stay.

Jun 03, 2025 · Bobby BrownWe stayed in this Double Tree hotel for the first time. Having never stayed in a Double Tree hotel before, we were very excited to find that this location was phenomenal. The location was perfect: there were restaurants, gas stations, and convenience stores within walking distance. The hotel itself is in a well maintained area. The parking lot was well lit, the grounds were landscaped well, and the front entrance was beautiful. Inside the hotel, the front desk is to the left and the staff greeted us warmly with fresh cookies! (They even had gluten free chocolate chip cookies!) Upon receiving our key cards, we took the elevator up to the third floor and we were pleased to find that the hallways were clean and the room was immaculate. We had a view of a busy street but we were never bothered by the noise. The shower and sink were huge and it was nice to have a lot of room in the bathroom. After getting a great night's sleep, we ventured to the onsite restaurant to check out the breakfast area (breakfast is not included in your stay at Double Tree Hotels.) We were disappointed to find that the selection was sparse for $15 a plate and with having many dietary restrictions we could not eat there, so we decided to go to a local diner instead. All in all, this hotel is in a great location, it is well maintained and the service was wonderful. Even though we could not eat any of the breakfast foods offered at the restaurant, we still found ourselves saying that we should stay at a Double Tree location again. Thank you for your hospitality!
Jul 20, 2025 · Marissa Romencewhen me and my fiance arrived to the building, the overnight guest relations associate was nowhere to be found, I was locked outside of the building, ringing the doorbell for an unacceptable amount of time, then once the door finally did open by somebody, he had a rude tone, was very snotty and he was very short, and I would like to add very lazy. For the amount of traffic the hotel had during my arrival, he continuously was calling the overnight security guard for assistance. It’s like I wait all day for assistance on amenities, just for them to wait until 10-11 o’clock when the security guard arrives and depending on the day, how busy it is. I would also like to add in my 20 years of vacationing and staying in hotels, I have never had a security guard Bring me things that guest relations should be bringing upstairs or room service, I was taken a back. The rooms are decently nice breakfast is good but if I could rate this location, a negative for service in regards to the agent on site I would. I believe his name was Jeffrey or Jeff. i was here a week, never ever ever again. you guys need to do something with him.
Jul 24, 2025 · Ruth DivitoThe hotel is dated. The AC blew foul-smelling air all night, very loudly. The staff were fairly friendly. We had breakfast at their restaurant, for the $15/person, the pancake house around the corner is a better option with something besides a warm continental breakfast that is usually included in many hotel stays.
Jul 30, 2025 · Michael JessupThe room was clean, though a bit outdated. They really messed up when deciding where to place the shower, as you had to either reach to the far side to turn on the water and risk slipping, or suck it up and embrace the cold as the water warmed up. My biggest complaint, and the reason I will never consider going back to this hotel, was the bed. We could feel the springs digging into our backs and woke up feeling very sore for most of the following days. I will note, however, that when I brought this to the attention of the staff, they got right on it by having the housekeeping bring a couple mattress toppers. Unfortunately they were pretty booked and had no other rooms with a king bed available, and the concierge did mention that a change in rooms was unlikely to solve the problem, as all their beds are the same and hinted at them being very low quality. Overall this was definitely a disappointment.
