Close proximity to the airport, but that’s as far of a positive experience I’ll admit. Complete lack of customer service with zero consolation for their computer system update that occurred upon checkin around 12:35am. I was told the system update may take at least 30 minutes, but the lady at the front desk could not definitively confirm a wait time of only 30 minutes. I had a toddler in a car, and being told to wait in the lobby for at least 30 minutes without giving us access to a bathroom or any amenities is frustrating and infuriating. No water, no bathroom, no comps, no reserved parking spaces for checking in (completely full non-ADA parking, so had to park far away from lobby entrance), no reason to stick around and put up with an outdated check in system. Recommendation to executive leadership: grant access to managers and provide resources to the front end staff to allow them to offer amenities and comps to make the wait somewhat worthwhile. Consider the perspective of travelers: get off a long flight, deal with the line at the car rental counter, show up to the hotel ready to sleep, but then only be told that despite having payment ready and with other tired family members in the car waiting to get in the room, the computer system is updating and will take at least 30 minutes. There is either zero or minuscule warning posted anywhere online that checkin around midnight is subject to at least a 30 minute delay by no fault of the guest. I see other reviews have mentioned the same problem of the checkin computer system updating. Perhaps executive team should just invest in a complete network upgrade? The initial investment costs might be necessary to keep up the hotel’s viability. Despite this piss poor experience at this Extended Stay, I am glad the Holiday Inn across the street had better accommodations and better customer service at a price that is barely more than what Extended Stay was charging. Although I’m not absolutely ruling out another chance at re-visiting this facility for future travels through the area, there is next to no reason to ever come back again.

For Arizonans, the Extended Stay America - Phoenix - Airport offers more than just a stopover for out-of-state visitors; it's a highly practical solution for various local needs. If you find yourself in transition, perhaps between homes, undergoing extensive renovations, or dealing with temporary housing due to unforeseen circumstances, this extended stay hotel can be an invaluable resource. The fully equipped kitchens mean you can maintain a sense of normalcy, cook your own meals, and manage your budget effectively without the added stress of dining out constantly.
Beyond temporary housing, consider it for local business needs. If you have a long-term project in the airport vicinity or downtown, or if a team member is visiting for an extended period, the apartment-style suites provide a comfortable and productive environment. The on-site laundry facilities are a significant convenience, eliminating the need for frequent trips to a laundromat. Furthermore, for locals who frequently travel out of PHX, using the hotel as a base for an early morning flight or a late return can offer a stress-free alternative to rushing to and from the airport. The free parking is another bonus, especially compared to costly airport parking. It’s a pragmatic choice for convenience, comfort, and cost-effectiveness for any Phoenix resident needing a temporary home-like environment without the commitment of a lease.

Mar 28, 2025 · Michael ChenCarlos and Vanessa and their Front Desk team are always so helpful. I find that they always try and help the best way they care. The housekeeping, crew landscapers and maintenance teams are also fantastic. I noticed no matter what happens. They do their best to keep the grounds clean. It is a pleasure to stay with them through this rough patch I’ve been having. I would recommend anyone to stay here.
May 08, 2025 · Nia BurgessI've had my mom at this extended stay for two weeks so far and everything has been great! I don't worry about her safety at all and all of the staff is incredibly attentive. Dawn at the front desk has been my main go to person and she's amazing! It's getting close to having new refrigerators in there, but that should not deter you. I am overall very happy with the stay here.
Mar 12, 2025 · JEFFERY YOUNGI had a wonderful conversation with the manager at this location today. Trish took the time to listen to me about the mix up I had with reservations the night before. I originally booked at a location in Phoenix and was also booked at this location also in Phoenix off Elwood St. by phone reservations. Due to the time constraints yesterday since I checked closer to 4pm , I was advised by reservations that I wouldn’t be charged unless I checked in. It was a chaotic day trying to check in and figure out which location to stay at. Trish was so kind and empathetic, she was able to assist me with my issue and resolved it immediately. She was so pleasant. So far I’ve had a good experience with extended stay America.
May 29, 2025 · Mel Joy TorresI recently stayed at this hotel and unfortunately, it was far from a pleasant experience. The room reeked of cigarette smoke despite it supposedly being non-smoking, which made it hard to relax or sleep comfortably. To make matters worse, I noticed bugs in the room, which raised serious concerns about cleanliness and hygiene. Breakfast was advertised but turned out to be nothing more than a granola bar and coffee. The surrounding area didn’t feel safe. There were clearly people hanging around the property who seemed to be under the influence of drugs, which made coming and going stressful, especially at night. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel and definitely won’t be returning. Spend a little more and stay somewhere clean, safe, and professionally run.
