We arrived too late to see any staff, but they did leave instructions on how to find and use your designated room keys. As we settled in, we started to read some reviews since we got an odd feeling. One of them hit too close to home, I had to use my shoulder to push the door open after using my card. We also found a Key Point pin behind the drawer. the TV had many channels, but nothing good to watch unless you were born in the era of black and white shows. Things still looked worn out and rusted, but it will do. The beds were fine and I slept just fine, my feet didn't go over the foot or anything. I'm happy with the shower because it came out nice and hot (not enough pressure). My towel didn't have any red stains on them, but the ones below did. Overall, if you're just in town for the weekend, it will do. I wasn't expecting anything lavish and will be using them again in the future.
For those utilizing the "Hotels Near Of Me" platform category, particularly when seeking accommodation close to the prestigious United States Military Academy at West Point, FairBridge Inn & Suites at West Point presents itself as an option. Located at 17 Main St, Highland Falls, NY 10928, USA, this hotel aims to cater to travelers looking for a place to stay in the immediate vicinity of West Point. This introduction will provide an objective overview of the hotel, encompassing its environment, services, features, and any available promotional information, based on internet-sourced details and critical customer reviews, without fabricating or omitting information.
The environment of FairBridge Inn & Suites at West Point is primarily defined by its highly convenient location on Main Street in Highland Falls. This placement offers immediate proximity to West Point's Thayer Gate, making it a very practical choice for visitors attending academy events, visiting cadets, or exploring the military institution. Being on Main Street also means guests have direct access to local shops, restaurants, and other amenities within Highland Falls, often within walking distance. The town of Highland Falls itself is a small, vibrant community nestled in the picturesque Hudson Valley, offering a mix of local charm and natural beauty. While the immediate hotel environment would be characterized by the town's commercial streetscape, guests are just a short drive or walk from scenic views and historical sites. Customer reviews confirm the "perfect" location in regard to convenience to West Point, indicating that its environmental advantage is its strategic position for accessing the military academy. However, it is also noted that the parking lot can be a source of "annoying noise of grocery carts going over gravel," suggesting that the direct Main Street location might come with some urban ambient sounds.
Regarding services, FairBridge Inn & Suites at West Point, like other establishments in the "Hotels Near Of Me" category, offers a foundational set of amenities aimed at providing a place to rest. According to customer feedback, the hotel does offer an automated check-in process for late arrivals, with instructions provided for room key retrieval. The presence of a front desk staff member, like "AJ" mentioned in a review, indicates a point of contact for customer service. Rooms are equipped with beds and a shower, and it is noted that the shower provides "nice and hot" water, though one review mentions "not enough pressure." While the availability of a coffee pot in the room is a positive service, a customer's discomfort with using the sink for drinking water suggests a potential concern with in-room water quality or cleanliness. Clean sheets and towels that "appeared and smelled clean" are also highlighted as positive aspects of the service. However, the overall sentiment regarding room servicing for customers is critically negative, with one review stating, "I can’t promote this." This implies that while basic services are present, their execution and consistency, particularly concerning cleanliness, may not always meet expected standards. Guests should manage their expectations regarding the level of direct staff interaction and in-room service based on these observations.
The features of FairBridge Inn & Suites at West Point, based on available information and customer reviews, suggest a no-frills accommodation. The primary feature is undoubtedly its location, offering unparalleled access to West Point. This makes it a go-to option for those whose priority is proximity over luxury. In-room features include a television, although a review points out that it offers "many channels, but nothing good to watch unless you were born in the era of black and white shows," implying outdated channel selections or TV technology. The rooms provide beds for sleeping, and one guest found them "fine" and slept "just fine." While a coffee pot is present, the general condition of the rooms, as depicted in reviews, suggests wear and tear, with descriptions of "worn out and rusted" elements, "gaps in the doors and fixtures," and a general "lack of cleanliness." One very strong negative feature highlighted by a review was finding "remnants of probable drug activity between the bathroom sink and toilet," which was a "dealbreaker" and caused the guest to "not have felt safe." The presence of a "Key Point pin behind the drawer" suggests potential overlooked items from previous guests. The physical structure of the hotel, including a "potholed parking lot," also contributes to its perceived features. These aspects suggest that while the hotel fulfills the basic function of providing a roof over one's head, the overall physical condition and some cleanliness issues are significant features to consider when booking here through "Hotels Near Of Me."
Regarding promotional information, FairBridge Inn & Suites at West Point, like many budget-friendly options, would likely focus on its affordability and, most importantly, its prime location. The price point mentioned in a review, "$365 two nights," provides a tangible indication of cost, though this is subject to fluctuation based on demand and seasonality. It's plausible that the hotel offers competitive rates, especially during peak West Point event dates, given that other hotels may be "booked solid." The hotel's direct phone numbers, (845) 446-9400 and +1 845-446-9400, would be the primary channels for inquiries about current rates and any potential deals. While specific promotional packages are not detailed, the underlying promotion is its utility as a functional, if basic, place to stay when proximity to West Point is paramount and other options are unavailable or more expensive. The customer sentiment "if you're just in town for the weekend, it will do. I wasn't expecting anything lavish and will be using them again in the future" encapsulates the perceived value proposition for some guests: a practical choice for short stays when expectations are set realistically. Conversely, the strong negative feedback regarding cleanliness and safety would likely deter others, and these reviews serve as a form of "anti-promotion" that prospective guests should carefully weigh when considering this option among "Hotels Near Of Me."

May 07, 2025 · David CheaRoom: the pictures will speak for themselves. I’ve never been in a dirtier room where i absolutely could not walk on the floor without shoes. We also found remnants of probable drug activity between the bathroom sink and toilet. This was truly the dealbreaker for me. If I wasn’t with my husband, I wouldn’t have felt safe. With other hotels booked solid, it’s no wonder we got in here and it was sparsely populated. Service: AJ was kind and pleasant if we’re talking about “customer” service. But if we’re talking about servicing the rooms for customers, I can’t promote this. Positive: the sheets and towels appeared and smelled clean. There was also a coffee pot, but I wasn’t comfortable using the sink in our room for drinking water or our coffee. Location: perfect in regard to convenience to West Point. The price we paid ($365 two nights) was a poor excuse to not make sure this place was manicured and cleaned from the potholed parking lot, to the gaps in the doors and fixtures in the rooms, to the genuine lack of cleanliness. And the annoying noise of grocery carts going over gravel in the parking lot, as this was how they transported supplies around the vicinity.
Jan 13, 2025 · Lisa BExcellent place to stay with amazing and accommodating staff, VERY friendly and helpful. Great location, easy to find. Clean and nicely remolded rooms.
May 14, 2025 · Olivia WinchellThis place was DISGUSTING!!!! The sheets had stains...like brown stains on white sheets. Long black hair under the covers and live bugs under one of the covers...This was an upgraded room bc the first room I was given wasn't what I paid for and it was in the same condition minus live bugs. I paid for a queen deluxe with 2 queen beds and it had 2 full size beds. Needless to say,.I didn't stay but the company refuses to refund me like it's MY fault their room was in the condition it was. The site won't let me post videos. The pictures being advertised IS NOT what this location looks like at all. Smells very musty and like cigarettes. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!!
Jul 27, 2024 · Amy BeyorCould not stay 🤢 Not a good thing to say. The ‘lobby’ smelled disgusting. Went to room, door did not work correctly. The room smelled strongly of smoke and was old and gross. We got moved to another room that was no better. Could not stay as it was that disgusting. They would not refund the payment. Would like to give less than 1 star. DO NOT STAY HERE!
