The room at 1st looked really good n clean, but it was NOT. 1- The bed sheets were not changed and had someone else's hair all over the sheets n pillowcases. 2-The rug was not vacuumed, n floors were dirty, not mopped. 3-BATHROOM - 1st off the sink is outside the bathroom - filthy on top n under the sink looked like it wasn't swept in a long time. The handsome n lotion containers were emptied n filthy (see photos). 2nd is the toilet was so filthy that I had to clean it myself that I was afraid to sit on the toilet. (see photo) 3rd - the shower nozzle came right off into my hand as I went to turn the shower on (see photos). Also, the shampoo, conditioner n body soap had to be replaced as well. Also the side of the toilet wasn't cleaned in a long time (see photos) Not to mention the place was in an uproar with loud kids running through out the hotel hallways upsetting the dogs in the rooms n jumping into customers back of their pick up trucks, you couldn't enjoy the pool as it was packed with unsupervised kids splashing the water everywhere jumping into the pool or the hot tub was packed with kids tge whole weekend. there was a hockey n softball groups there making the place feel like a romper room with unsupervised kids as the parents were busy getting drunk n playing cards in the lobby making it difficult to get to the elevator as you had to squeeze your way through the crowd. Our room had a balcony, which would have been super enjoyable, but the kids kept screaming in the parking lot. I don't blame the hotel, but at some point, I do as the hotel staff should have pointed out to the parents that this is a hotel, not the playground. I am a Hilton member, n I only book Hilton hotels as much as I like to try this hotel out again cause I loved the location, I can't foresee it in my future. I don't recommend this hotel but I say go at your own risk.
When local users and travelers search for "Hotels Near Of Me" in the Lake George area, Hampton Inn & Suites Lake George, located at 2133 US-9, Lake George, NY 12845, USA, often appears as a well-known brand option. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview of the hotel, drawing upon contrasting customer reviews to highlight its reported environment, services, features, and promotional aspects, to assist prospective guests in making an informed decision. The hotel can be reached via phone at (518) 668-4100 or mobile at +1 518-668-4100.
Environment and Ambiance:
Hampton Inn & Suites Lake George is situated on US-9, a main thoroughfare, which typically offers convenient access to local attractions and amenities. The hotel's exterior and common areas are designed to align with the Hampton Inn brand standard, generally implying a modern and welcoming appearance. The "breakfast/bar area" is described as "beautiful and so clean," suggesting a positive first impression in this communal space. The pool and hot tub area are noted as "very nice and well maintained" in one review, indicating that these recreational facilities contribute positively to the overall ambiance, with a focus on guest enjoyment and relaxation.
However, the ambiance can be significantly impacted by guest behavior, particularly during peak times or when large groups are present. One detailed review points to a disruptive environment, with "loud kids running through out the hotel hallways," upsetting dogs in rooms, and causing chaos in common areas. The pool area was reportedly "packed with unsupervised kids splashing the water everywhere jumping into the pool or the hot tub the whole weekend." This suggests that during high occupancy, especially with groups like "hockey n softball," the hotel environment can become "an uproar" and feel "like a romper room," making it difficult for other guests to find quiet or enjoy facilities. Even a room with a balcony, which "would have been super enjoyable," was affected by screaming in the parking lot. This highlights a potential challenge in maintaining a peaceful ambiance when the hotel is busy.
Services and Amenities:
Hampton Inn & Suites Lake George typically offers a range of services and amenities consistent with the Hilton brand. Key amenities highlighted by reviews include a pool and hot tub, which are described as "very nice and well maintained" and were enjoyable for some guests. Hampton Inn hotels are well-known for their complimentary hot breakfast, which is a significant value-add for many travelers, though the specific breakfast quality is not detailed in these reviews beyond the area being "beautiful and so clean." The hotel is also explicitly "pet welcoming," not just "tolerant," providing "pet stations outside with potty bags," which is a valuable service for guests traveling with animals.
Customer service at the front desk receives positive mention, with one reviewer noting the staff as "super friendly and kind," "very welcoming and put us at ease instantly," particularly during a late arrival. This indicates a commitment to hospitable interactions upon check-in. Free Wi-Fi is a standard amenity for Hampton Inn properties, allowing guests to stay connected. Ample parking is implied by the mention of the parking lot environment.
However, one review raises severe concerns about the cleanliness and maintenance of the rooms. Specific issues reported include:
Features and Target Audience:
Hampton Inn & Suites Lake George is positioned as a pet-friendly hotel, a significant feature that attracts travelers with furry companions. The provision of "pet stations outside with potty bags" and a welcoming attitude towards animals distinguishes it from many other hotels that are merely tolerant of pets. This feature broadens its appeal to a specific and growing segment of the travel market.
The hotel's indoor pool and hot tub are major features, offering year-round recreation opportunities, which is particularly appealing during colder months or inclement weather. The "beautiful and so clean" breakfast/bar area provides a pleasant communal space for guests to start their day. The "newly renovated" feel of the hotel, as implied by its general positive appearance in one review, suggests modern comforts and amenities, which are attractive to guests seeking updated accommodations.
The hotel's location is a dual feature. While on a main road, it allows for easy access to Lake George Village and potentially other attractions. Its brand recognition as part of the Hilton Honors program is also a feature that draws loyal Hilton members, who may expect a consistent level of quality and service. However, the presence of large groups like "hockey n softball" teams, with "unsupervised kids" and parents "busy getting drunk n playing cards in the lobby," can significantly alter the intended atmosphere and guest experience. This suggests the hotel might attract sports groups or large family gatherings, which can lead to high noise levels and crowded common areas, potentially deterring guests seeking a quieter stay. The lack of hotel staff intervention in managing disruptive behavior, as noted by one unhappy guest, points to a potential gap in hotel policies or enforcement regarding guest conduct.
Promotional Information and Value Proposition:
The promotional appeal of Hampton Inn & Suites Lake George, particularly for those searching "Hotels Near Of Me," is built upon its brand reputation, its pet-friendly policy, and the positive aspects highlighted in some reviews. The emphasis on "lovely stay," "super friendly and kind" staff, "very nice and well maintained" pool and hot tub, and a "beautiful and so clean" breakfast area would be key promotional points. The explicit "pet welcoming" stance is a significant marketing advantage for travelers with pets.
However, the contrasting negative review presents a critical challenge to its promotional message. Issues of cleanliness and maintenance (dirty sheets, unvacuumed floors, filthy bathroom, broken shower) are fundamental to a hotel's value proposition and can severely undermine trust. The described "uproar with loud kids running through out the hotel hallways" and "unsupervised kids splashing the water everywhere" in the pool area directly counter the idea of a relaxing or enjoyable stay for many guests. This suggests that while the hotel aims to offer a comfortable and amenity-rich experience, the actual guest experience can be inconsistent, particularly regarding cleanliness and noise management.
Therefore, while the hotel likely promotes itself as a clean, comfortable, and convenient option with great amenities and a pet-friendly policy, potential guests should be aware of the widely divergent experiences reported. The phrase "go at your own risk" from one review serves as a stark caution. For Hilton members or those prioritizing pet-friendly accommodation, the hotel might still be considered, but verifying recent reviews and perhaps contacting the hotel directly to inquire about noise management policies or recent cleanliness efforts would be advisable to ensure the expected "best stay" and avoid potential disappointment.

Mar 20, 2025 · Foodtastic CriticLovely stay! Traveled for the first time with our dog to visit some family in the area. We arrived pretty late but the woman at the front desk was super friendly and kind. Very welcoming and put us at ease instantly. The pool and hot tub were very nice and well maintained. The breakfast/bar area was beautiful and so clean. The room was clean and comfortable. They have pet stations outside with potty bags and were overall very pet welcoming not just tolerant. We travel to this area often and this was by far the best stay we’ve had in the area!
Jan 14, 2025 · Katie GallantNice hotel. It’s close to lake george million dollar beach. I would not pay for the balcony room though. The lake isn’t visible from the hotel.
May 12, 2025 · Abraham KohnWe love the Hiltons! ... especially because their dog friendly! This one at LG is in a nice convenient location to "the village" LOTs to do around here! We were here for their Winter Carnival - ice sculptures, lumber jack contests, bonfires, ATV & truck races on the ice and fireworks!!
Mar 01, 2025 · B. CoffeyI returned last night from a 3-night stay at The Hampton Inn, Lake George. The staff was so kind and accommodating and went way above and beyond, to make sure I had everything I needed, especially on a day when I wasn’t feeling well. I have never known hotel staff to show so much kindness in my life. The breakfast buffet was great and the atmosphere was so inviting. Loved the coffee. The rooms are a good size, spotless, and have the most comfortable beds. It is also quiet and my room had a beautiful view. I want to say a big thank you to Kristina, Jennifer, and Kirsten for your kindness and compassion. I will never forget you. Judi from Massachusetts.
