My Family Checked in on Saturday at 4:15PM 10/05/2019 to Hawks Landing and we departed the following Friday. When we arrived the maintenance staff was installing a new dresser in one of the downstairs bedrooms and there was a lady there that stated she was cleaning the cabin and they were no supposed to release it to us yet. The cabin was empty the night before and we were told by the front desk when we called earlier that morning that we could even check in early because the cabin was empty the night before. The first thing that I noticed was the refrigerator door all but one of the shelves were missing, I immediately called the front desk as I was told that someone would be out in 2 to 4 hours. I never heard back from the or saw anyone come out. That evening we began to take a closer look around the cabin and noticed that it had not been cleaned properly. The next morning when went to the front office to pick up our Aquarium tickets we informed the front desk about the cleaning issue and inquired about the refrigerator. We were told that the parts had to be approved by the owner of the cabin and then they would be ordered. They did refund our cleaning fee and said they would send someone out to re clean the cabin, which to the best of my knowledge never happened because the items we informed the about were still dirty. The oven had food that had been spilled in it, there was heavy dust hanging from the ceiling in almost every room, there was a large spider web in one of the high windows in the game room, we found bottles under the bed which has a foundation so it was more like beside the bed, and used q-tips on the floor in the bathroom all of which was never cleaned up by the staff. I also had an issue when picking up my Dolly Dixie Stampede tickets, we had order 9 adult tickets and when I arrived to pick them up we were given 6 adult and 3 child tickets. I probably would not have even have noticed if one the adults that was supposed to come on the trip had not cancelled. I had to pay for the difference in the 5 child tickets to the 2 adults, I felt like since it was their mistake and we had so many issues we should not have to pay the $160 difference. The mattresses were at least 15 years old the springs jabbed through when laid on, our entire family woke up with back pain each day. I placed a call to the office to have the hot tub serviced and the person they sent was new(Not his fault) and did not know how to refresh the tub, he told me someone would come out and take care of it. We never got to use the tub. The table up stairs showed 2 stools in all the pictures, there was only one. Our vacation was not ruined because we did not allow it to be, but we will not be booking another stay at Gatlinburg Falls. When we called them at check out at told them once again about the issues they did give us 10% refund, but this was not the type of experience that I expected at a place that calls itself a resort.
