My husband and I booked a two-night stay in a room with a jacuzzi tub. However, despite the fact that there are signs everywhere stating the hotel is smoke-free, people stand right outside the front door smoking, and the hallways reek of smoke. Upon first glance, the room was fine. The jacuzzi tub was big enough for both of us to fit comfortably, there was a seating area across from the TV, and the room had a mini fridge/freezer and microwave. We were hardly in the room but wanted a nice place to rest and soak in the tub between our outings. The first thing we noticed when we entered the room was that the TV didn't work, so my husband unplugged it and plugged it back in. Nothing. The cable wasn't working, so we had to search for channels, which took a while, and then it still didn't work consistently. (Some times the TV turned on, some times it didn't.) We checked in late our first night, so we dropped off our stuff, settled in, and grabbed dinner and snacks from the store. For the rest of the evening, we relaxed in the jacuzzi tub (which needed directions and would have been helpful) and then went to sleep. As someone who prefers a chilly room for a good night's sleep, I set our A/C to 66 and let it run on cold with a constant fan on high. However, the room never reached a comfortable temperature, leading to a restless night. The discomfort was further exacerbated by the mattress on the bed, which was the most uncomfortable I've ever experienced. The couch was more inviting than the bed, prompting my husband and I to sleep on the pull-out bed. Let me reiterate: the pull-out sofa was more comfortable than the king-size bed. We let this slide at first because WE WERE HARDLY IN THE ROOM. It's hard to notice problems when you're not in the room. There were stains everywhere: the bathtub in the bathroom, on towels (one of the washcloths had makeup stains on it and I wasn't wearing makeup), our pillows had stains on them, the comforter had a stain which we wouldn't have noticed had we not taken the blanket on top of it off the bed the night before, the shower curtain is stained, and the bathtub had stains. AND after all the channel searching, the sound on the TV didn't work. The speakers were blown, and I assume it's because it's on a wall across from the jacuzzi, whose jets will SOAK the room if you don't reposition them into the water. We called someone into the room to have them "fix" the TV, which just consisted of him standing there looking confused, trying to move plugs around, and then telling us he'd come back and never did (then told the guy at the front desk it was fixed). My husband and I were already frustrated with the TV situation, but continuously finding stains grossed us enough to forfeit our final night at the hotel. Despite having pre-paid for the room through Expedia, our departure was met with a disappointing response from the front desk. When we informed the staff member of our decision to leave and the reasons behind it, he dismissed our concerns by stating that our room was 'nice'. We politely disagreed, showing him photos of the stains and reiterating that our TV was still not functional. His response was far from accommodating, as he angrily grabbed his keys and stated, 'I will clean your sheets, come on. The hotel is full.' Regardless of the hotel's occupancy, the fact remains that our room was not cleaned to an acceptable standard and I would not at all recommend staying in this hotel. Go down the road a bit and stay at the Super 8.

You certainly get what you pay for and not much beyond that. Confirmation was complicated and we weren’t entirely sure if we even had a room until we showed up. Was not impressed with the bedding, which smelled weird but appeared clean enough. Location wise, this place was in a great spot. Watertown is a cute town and we enjoyed exploring. Really all we needed our room for was a place to stay. At the end of the day, we needed a cheap place to stay for two nights in Watertown. That’s what we got.

The room was spacious, the bed sheet had a very large yellow stain, the electrical outlet was unstable, and the hotel smelled very bad. I had a hard night‘s sleep because of this smell.

The staff was very helpful and kind to myself and my father. They gave us a room on ground level and let us bring my dog when we absolutely needed a place to stay for the night. Very professional and helpful. Thank you!
