Solid ski experience for a day. Trails are somewhat limited and not too many lifts exist in this small NE mountain. The staff was very helpful and they make a point to load six skiers at a time which helps with lines. The food is typical low-quality high-price food, but the pizza is decent. I wish they improved that aspect. Overall a decent option not too far from NYC.

Mar 05, 2025 · Haim HavivHunter Mountain has some great trails and, under the right conditions, it would be a great choice for skiing. However, the biggest issue is the overall experience, particularly the customer service. Unfortunately, my family and I visited on a day when the forecast originally called for snow, but the weather changed last minute, and it ended up raining instead. When we arrived, it was already drizzling, but we figured we could still get a few runs in before the heavy rain started. However, one of the lifts broke down, and we had to wait over 20 minutes just to get up the mountain. By the time we finally got to ski, the rain had picked up significantly, and after just two runs, it became too difficult to continue. Given the circumstances, we reached out to customer service twice to see if we could get a credit or some kind of accommodation for another day. Shockingly, both times, the representatives simply hung up the phone. This level of disregard for customers is extremely disappointing. Overall, while the trails are nice, the poor customer service makes it hard to justify coming back. My family and I were really hoping for a great experience, but unfortunately, this visit left a bad impression.
Feb 17, 2025 · Gloria ArapiI had a wonderful experience at Hunters Mountain during March 7-9. The resort was so fun. We enjoyed snow tubbing the most. Skiing was great. Plenty of trails to choose from. Tons of snow on trails. People and staff were friendly and helpful. I would recommend spending a weekend here. Can’t wait to return next year. Easy drive from New York City, only 2 hours away.
Mar 23, 2025 · Torrance HurtaultThis is a good enough mountain for an easy to get to, local mountain! I’m accustomed to mountains out west so I keep expectations in check but I always enjoy coming here. Nice vibe for the most part, lifts always working, decent (but short) assortment of black runs. And even a fun long blue run. Snow is very varying. East Coast winter is getting softer. 🤷🏻♀️ Nonetheless, this is my spot when I’m not out west or further up north.
Feb 08, 2025 · Rosanna S.I went here in January to visit the tubing park and it was so much fun! The parking lot is right near the tubing hills so you don’t have to walk far in your snowsuit. There is a conveyor belt that takes you and your tube up the side of the hill so you can save your energy and go as many times as you like.
