Extremely Disappointed by Customer Service at Live-In Lodge (Tara Blvd) Especially by Staff Member Named Emerald I am the CEO and Founder of Blessing Bags of Warmth, a nonprofit organization based in Atlanta that assists families and individuals facing homelessness and crisis situations. Our organization regularly steps in to prevent evictions, provide emergency shelter, and support those experiencing housing instability. Recently, we were contacted about a client who had suffered a medical emergency and was rushed to the hospital. She was staying at what we initially believed to be the sister property on Memorial Drive, and we immediately mobilized to cover her hotel stay to prevent eviction during recovery. Upon realizing she was actually at the Live-In Lodge on Tara Boulevard, we quickly called the front desk to explain the situation and inform them that a member of our team was en route to make the payment in person. At this point, the client had already incurred a $79 late fee due to the 11:00 AM payment deadline and was told she would be evicted by 12:30 PM if the balance was not paid. While we understand policies and procedures, what followed was one of the most disrespectful and unprofessional interactions I’ve experienced in years of working with extended stays and emergency lodging facilities. Emerald, the staff member who answered the phone, responded with hostility and zero compassion. Her exact words were: “I don’t know what kind of deal you have going on at Haven Hotel, but we don’t do that s** here at Live In Lodge on Tara! I’m checking them out of the system So they are going to have to step out of their room. They’re going to have to repay the deposit if they can’t come and pay in the next 5 minutes.” I was absolutely stunned, not just by the language, but by the complete disregard for the reality that many of the guests staying in extended stays are already navigating hardship. This was not only unprofessional, but it was inhumane. To know that this client, who pays $350 per week, is subjected to such treatment is disturbing. The physical conditions of the hotel are already troubling. Questionable upkeep, lack of basic security responsiveness, and now, extremely poor customer service from staff who seem to forget that their guests are people, not problems. Our nonprofit works with dozens of extended stay hotels across metro Atlanta. This experience stands out as one of the worst we’ve ever encountered. We strongly encourage management to provide Emerald with immediate retraining or reconsider her placement in a customer-facing role. Guests, especially those in crisis, deserve compassion and professionalism, not condescension and verbal abuse. We hope this review prompts a deeper conversation about how vulnerable residents are treated and how service can, and should, be improved.

Live In Lodge Extended Stay Introduce

For individuals utilizing the "Hotels Near Me" platform category, seeking convenient and potentially long-term accommodation options, the Live In Lodge Extended Stay in Jonesboro, GA, located at 8240 Tara Blvd Suite 148, Jonesboro, GA 30236, USA, is a property that may appear in search results. With contact numbers such as (770) 280-3400 and +1 770-280-3400, it offers a point of contact for inquiries and bookings. As an extended stay establishment, its primary appeal lies in providing a potentially more cost-effective and settled lodging experience compared to traditional short-term hotels, catering to guests who require accommodation for several days, weeks, or even longer.

When considering an extended stay property like Live In Lodge, several factors come into play, including the overall environment, the range of services offered, its specific features, and any promotional information that might be available. It is important to approach this objectively, examining the information gleaned from various sources, including customer reviews, to provide a balanced perspective for potential guests searching within the "Hotels Near Me" category.

Regarding the environment, extended stay hotels generally aim to offer a more home-like atmosphere than standard hotels. This often includes rooms equipped with kitchenettes, allowing guests to prepare their own meals and reduce dining expenses, which can be a significant benefit for longer stays. The specific environment of Live In Lodge, however, has been a point of discussion among past guests. While the intention of an extended stay is to provide comfort, some reviews indicate that the physical conditions and upkeep of the property have been described as "questionable." This suggests that prospective guests should manage their expectations regarding the aesthetic and maintenance standards of the premises. The general location on Tara Blvd in Jonesboro places it within a commercial area, offering access to various local amenities, though the immediate surroundings of the property itself would be best assessed by direct observation or more recent guest photos if available online.

In terms of services, extended stay properties typically provide basic amenities such as laundry facilities, Wi-Fi, and often weekly housekeeping services, which differ from daily housekeeping found in traditional hotels. The Live In Lodge, as an extended stay, would be expected to offer similar foundational services. However, a crucial aspect of service is customer interaction, and this is where some significant concerns have been raised. Reviews highlight issues with customer service, specifically citing "disrespectful and unprofessional interactions." Instances of staff responding with "hostility and zero compassion" have been reported, particularly in situations involving guests facing hardship or crisis. This directly impacts the perceived quality of service and the overall guest experience. The responsiveness of staff, especially concerning basic security, has also been noted as potentially lacking. For users of "Hotels Near Me," a key consideration for any stay, especially an extended one, is the reliability and professionalism of the staff, as prolonged interaction necessitates a higher degree of positive engagement.

Features of extended stay hotels often include studio or one-bedroom suites with dedicated living and sleeping areas, and typically a fully equipped kitchen or kitchenette with a refrigerator, microwave, and stovetop. This allows guests to maintain a semblance of their regular routine. While the specific room features of Live In Lodge are not explicitly detailed in the provided information, its designation as an "Extended Stay" suggests it would offer these standard amenities. However, the reviews point to concerns beyond just the in-room features, extending to "lack of basic security responsiveness." This is a significant feature that guests look for, especially during longer stays, as it pertains to their personal safety and peace of mind. Additionally, the hotel's policies regarding fees and charges have been a point of contention, with reports of "adding fees for things that aren't a violation" and "unprofessional" practices concerning upcharges. The mention of a "pet fee" suggests it is a pet-friendly establishment, which is a desirable feature for many extended stay guests traveling with animals.

Regarding promotional information, extended stay hotels often advertise weekly or monthly rates that are significantly lower than daily rates, making them an attractive option for budget-conscious travelers or those on temporary assignments. While specific current promotional offers for Live In Lodge are not provided, the weekly rate of $350 mentioned in a review gives an indication of its pricing structure. Potential guests searching "Hotels Near Me" for affordable long-term lodging would find this information relevant. However, the negative experiences detailed in customer feedback, particularly concerning unexpected additional charges and what is perceived as arbitrary fee imposition, could significantly undermine the perceived value of any promotional rates. The advice to "HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT STAYING HERE" due to these practices serves as a strong cautionary note, indicating that the initial advertised price may not reflect the final cost. This is a critical piece of information for users looking for transparent pricing and no hidden costs.

In conclusion, Live In Lodge Extended Stay presents itself as an option for those seeking extended accommodation in Jonesboro, GA, appearing in searches within the "Hotels Near Me" category. It offers the basic premise of an extended stay property, likely including kitchenette facilities and weekly rates. However, potential guests should be aware of the consistent feedback regarding significant issues with customer service, including hostility and a lack of compassion, particularly from staff members. Concerns about the physical upkeep of the property, the responsiveness of security, and the imposition of potentially arbitrary or unexplained fees have also been raised by past guests. While the weekly rate might seem appealing initially, the reported experiences with additional charges and unprofessional interactions suggest that prospective visitors should exercise caution and thoroughly investigate recent reviews and policies before committing to a stay at this particular establishment.

I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOTSTAYING HERE!!!! They add fees for things that aren't a violation. The manager (Mary) wanted to upcharge me and tried to charge me for kids not staying in the room. Some how this was conveniently while her car was being snatched by the repo man. My room rate went from $421 for 8 nights to $559, this is with a $35 pet fee and a $35 fine for dish we just ate dinner out of. They are unprofessional and they will charge you what they see fit at the time.

I have and emotional support animal. And since January 11th the have forced me to pay for him. Under federal law I don't have to pay. Nor do I have to show paper work. As of Friday march 21 I have filed a lawsuit against this location for this violation. Also our rooms are to be cleaned once a week. I have a hidden camera in my room. They never clean. They just lay a peice of paper on the bed that says they did.

Okay, so after a week-long stay in this place, I learned a lot in a very short period! #1-They have an army-sized amount of cockroaches which seem to be this lodge's own "welcoming committee" seeing as though upon my initial entrance into the room, the roaches very quickly greeted me at the door & even asked if they could help me carry my bags 🙄🤦🏿‍♀️! #2- In addition to their $339/week rates, for absolutely the most ridiculous reasons, this place also shamelessly charges their guests the wildest, most excessive, & ever-changing "fines/fees" that (in my opinion) really should be CRIMINAL at the very least. Example: Weekly rent is due Fridays @11:30 am & you pay @11:35 am? Prepare to pay their mandatory "late fee" of an extra $50+ if/when you're MINUTES LATE yet still paying the SAME DAY ☺️. The signs shown on their office window list amounts of fines they charge for things like "Kids CAN'T be outside Mon-Fri from 9am-5pm" but also CAN'T be outside anytime after 7 pm on weekends-$75" etc. However, regardless of the $$ amounts shown, they do NOT abide by that & will charge guests MORE w/o explanation. Also, their housekeeping and maintenance staff speak ZERO English.

Careful about staying at this place because they have bugs, most of the heater and a/c units don't work and they will charge you for every little thing possible including toilet paper, which is supposed to be supplied. I thought the bad reviews were nonsense, but after staying a few nights and told just 2 days ago, Dec 23 that they would work with me, my wife and son on Christmas eve on when we got paid only to tell us to pay by 11 after being told we won't get our paychecks until 2 pm and they closed at 3, made me 1 1/2 late for work having to pack the room up unexpectedly, load my truck and all 3 of us rush to get dressed. This doesn't include the fact that I had told them on the 20th about the heat not working or the TV not working, was told maintenance would come look at it, which didn't happen until after we were told no payment by 11 then we had to leave. They have absolutely no compassion even for 5 yr olds to not be willing to wait a few hours, told me there would be a $35 late fee if it was after 11 and I told them that was fine. They don't care about anything but money. They don't deserve any business if they are willing to put 5 yr old child out in the cold instead of being patient and waiting a few hours for money that was guaranteed. I think they need a lesson in humility and to be greatly humbled. Worst experience I have ever had in my life. Not to mention that they caused my son to get so sick he threw up a few times because they are that lazy on "fixing " anything. The rooms should only be $30/night considering the quality.
