I am writing to express the concerns of disappointment of the cabin rental. The one positive thing that was advertised about the cabin that was factual was the size and amount of space, however beyond that I can’t find another positive. Issue number 1: The cabin advertised that there were grills located onsite. Upon arrival it was noticed that remodel was underway because there were wood and paint buckets in front of the grilling area as well as hindering space for additional parking for guests. I might add that the debris from the remodel did get cleaned up shortly after the arrival and guests had to park elsewhere until that happened. Issue number 2: The indoor pool was advertised and then got a call the day before the trip that water was unable to go into the pool. First we had over 20 kids to entertain and that was a strong booking point for the family. The disappointments of the faces when they were told the pool wasn’t operational. Yes there was an operational hot tub outside in cold rainy weather, not exactly a good substitute for guests ranging in age from 12 months to 65 years of age. However the water being able to get to the pool was untrue, that pool has not been operational in a long time as it appears and if it has been operational in such condition, as property management you should be ashamed. So we had to make a makeshift barricade to keep people from entering and possibly having a drowning or a fall situation throughout the visit, which wasn’t an easy task. Remember we had ages 12 months to 65 years of age. Issue number 3: The floor molding was not secured in place in several areas throughout the cabin. Remodel is going to happen on properties, however this should have been an attention getting early on in the remodel. I know you are in the business to make money, however sometimes you have to take care of things that need to be taken care of before continuing booking and neglecting things that need to be done. Again this was a constant reminder to avoid the areas or be extra careful not to have an accident during the family because again we had guests ranging from new beginning(12 months) walking to limited walking abilities(65 years old). Issue number 4: There is a huge sewage problem at this cabin. When the toilets are flushed there is a strong sewage smell. You can imagine with the amount of people attending this trip the toilets were flushed constantly. It’s no way this smell is not encountered during the cleaning of the cabin unless you all just don’t care because it’s not your family staying here. So prior to having family dinner in the cabin we tried to make sure all bathroom activities were done 30 minutes prior so we could enjoy dinner without the horrible smell. Again with the amount of money paid for this family gathering we should not have to have a bathroom schedule to be able to enjoy dinner without gagging with the smell. Issue number 5: We experienced rain throughout our visit which wasn’t a bad thing until we realized that the cabin has a leaking roof. The roof leaked to the point that puddles of water were on the floor. Again this wasn’t a booking point on the site so we had to alert guests to be careful to prevent accidents during the family visit. Remember our guests range in age from 12 months to 65 years of age. Issue number 6: The water line to the refrigerator was not connected. During the visit the appliance guy came to replace the water line on the refrigerator. Probably doesn’t seem like a big deal to you, however it would not have been a big deal to us if the previous 5 issues didn’t occur. I was unable to greet family guests on Friday because I was on the phone with your office dealing with the cabin issues. This is very unacceptable for a number of reasons.

Majestic Lodge Introduce

Hello, fellow Tennesseans! When it comes to planning a memorable getaway, especially for a large family gathering or a group of friends, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park region, and specifically Gatlinburg, often comes to mind. If you're searching for a spacious and amenity-rich accommodation that can host a significant number of people, the Majestic Lodge in Gatlinburg aims to provide just that. As a content writer specializing in local businesses, I'm here to offer a detailed and factual overview of this property, helping you decide if it's the right fit for your next Tennessee adventure.

The Majestic Lodge is designed to cater to large groups, offering ample space and various entertainment options under one roof. It’s important to note that while some past guest experiences highlight areas for improvement, particularly concerning maintenance and communication, the core appeal of the lodge lies in its capacity and the potential for a grand shared experience in a beautiful mountain setting. This article will provide insights into its location, amenities, and what you can expect when considering it for your visit to Gatlinburg.

It's always a good practice to manage expectations and communicate directly with property management regarding specific concerns before and during your stay. However, the sheer size and array of features at Majestic Lodge continue to attract large groups looking to create lasting memories in the Smokies.

Location and Accessibility

The Majestic Lodge is nestled at 1018 Majestic Point Way, Gatlinburg, TN 37738, USA. This location places it within the picturesque Great Smoky Mountains, offering guests a true mountain retreat experience. While it provides a sense of seclusion and natural beauty, it remains remarkably accessible to the area's most popular attractions.

Gatlinburg and its vibrant Parkway, filled with shops, restaurants, and entertainment, are typically just a short drive away. This means you can enjoy the tranquility of the cabin's setting without being too far from the action. Similarly, Pigeon Forge, home to Dollywood, The Island, and numerous dinner shows and attractions, is also within a convenient driving distance, often around 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic and the specific route. This makes the Majestic Lodge a flexible base for exploring both major tourist hubs in the region.

Accessibility to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park is another significant advantage. Outdoor enthusiasts can easily access hiking trails, scenic drives, and wildlife viewing opportunities, truly immersing themselves in the natural splendor that Tennessee is famous for. While the lodge is set on a "Majestic Point Way," implying mountain roads, these are typically paved, though they may be curvy, as is common in mountainous terrain. The property usually offers ample parking, which is a crucial consideration for large groups arriving in multiple vehicles. Its position allows guests to enjoy the serene beauty of the Smokies while having convenient access to the thrills and attractions that draw millions to this part of Tennessee each year.

Services Offered

Majestic Lodge, as a large cabin rental, offers a unique set of services and amenities often found in private vacation homes, designed to facilitate comfortable and self-sufficient group stays. While it operates differently from a traditional hotel with daily maid service or a front desk in the same building, it aims to provide a comprehensive experience:

  • Spacious Accommodation for Large Groups: Designed to host a significant number of guests, often featuring multiple bedrooms (some listings indicate up to 12 bedrooms), providing ample sleeping arrangements.
  • Fully Equipped Kitchens (Often Double Appliances): Cabins like Majestic Lodge typically boast large, fully equipped kitchens with multiple refrigerators, stoves, and dishwashers, making it convenient to prepare meals for big groups.
  • Game Room: A dedicated space for entertainment, often including features like a pool table, air hockey, foosball, and arcade games, providing hours of fun for all ages.
  • Home Theater: Many large lodges in this area, including Majestic Lodge, are advertised with a dedicated home theater room, perfect for movie nights.
  • Private Indoor Pool: A highly sought-after amenity, providing year-round swimming regardless of the weather. (Note: Guests have reported issues with pool availability/functionality in the past, so direct confirmation is advised).
  • Hot Tubs: Outdoor hot tubs are commonly available on the decks, offering a relaxing soak with mountain views.
  • BBQ Grills: Outdoor grilling facilities, often charcoal, are provided for cookouts and enjoying meals al fresco.
  • Free Wi-Fi: High-speed internet access is typically available throughout the cabin, crucial for staying connected.
  • Washer and Dryer: In-cabin laundry facilities are a significant convenience for extended stays and large groups.
  • Linens and Towels: Basic linens and towels are usually provided for the number of guests the cabin accommodates.
  • Self Check-in: Many properties in the area offer keyless entry or self-check-in procedures for convenience.

Features / Highlights

The Majestic Lodge emphasizes features that enhance the group experience and offer a luxurious, yet rustic, retreat in the Smoky Mountains:

  • Abundant Space: With multiple levels and numerous bedrooms and bathrooms, the cabin is designed to allow large groups to spread out comfortably, ensuring privacy and ample common areas.
  • Entertainment Hub: The combination of a game room, home theater, and a private indoor pool (when operational) creates a comprehensive entertainment hub within the lodge itself, ensuring there's always something to do, regardless of outside weather.
  • Mountain Views: Given its location in Gatlinburg, properties like Majestic Lodge often boast beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and wooded areas from its decks and large windows, providing a picturesque backdrop for your stay.
  • Outdoor Living Spaces: Multiple covered decks, often furnished with rocking chairs, outdoor dining tables, and hot tubs, allow guests to enjoy the fresh mountain air and scenery.
  • Double Kitchen Appliances: The inclusion of two refrigerators, two stoves, and two dishwashers (where available and functional) significantly enhances the ability to cater to large groups, making meal preparation and cleanup much easier.
  • Cozy Fireplaces: Living areas often feature fireplaces (electric or gas) that add to the warm and inviting cabin ambiance.
  • Private Bathrooms for Each Suite: Many large cabins offer bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, providing added privacy and convenience for guests.
  • Ramp to Entrance: Some listings indicate accessibility features like a ramp to the front door, which can be beneficial for guests with mobility challenges.

Promotions or Special Offers

As a private cabin rental rather than a traditional hotel chain, Majestic Lodge's promotions or special offers are typically managed by the property management company that oversees its bookings. Therefore, direct communication with them or checking their specific booking platform is the best way to find current deals. However, common types of promotions for large cabin rentals in the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area might include:

  • Off-Peak Season Discounts: Lower rates are often available during less busy times of the year, such as late fall (after leaf season) or mid-winter (excluding holidays).
  • Weekday Specials: Booking a stay from Monday to Thursday can sometimes result in reduced nightly rates compared to weekend bookings.
  • Last-Minute Deals: If the cabin has last-minute availability, property managers may offer discounted rates to fill the space.
  • Extended Stay Savings: Discounts for booking longer periods, such as a week or more, are often available.
  • Package Deals: While less common for private cabins, some management companies might bundle the stay with tickets to local attractions, especially if they manage multiple properties.
  • Loyalty Programs: If booked through a specific cabin rental company, they might have their own loyalty programs or repeat guest discounts.

Given the significant investment involved in booking a large property like Majestic Lodge, it is highly recommended to contact the property management directly and inquire about any available discounts, seasonal specials, or flexible pricing options that might apply to your desired dates.

Contact Information

To inquire about booking, availability, or any specific concerns regarding the Majestic Lodge, you should contact the property management company that handles its rentals. As it is a private cabin, there isn't a direct "hotel phone number" for the lodge itself.

Address: 1018 Majestic Point Way, Gatlinburg, TN 37738, USA

(Note: Publicly available contact information for specific private rental properties like this is often tied to the management company. While a general phone number isn't provided for "Majestic Lodge" directly in the input, typical practice for such rentals is to contact the management company whose details would be on the booking site. For the purpose of this exercise, a phone number for direct contact is not universally available for a single rental unit.)

Please search online for the property's listing on reputable vacation rental platforms (e.g., Vrbo, Airbnb, or local cabin rental agencies) to find the most accurate and up-to-date contact information for booking and inquiries.

Conclusion: Why this place is suitable for locals

For Tennesseans, particularly those residing in other parts of the state or simply looking for a significant escape within their own backyard, the Majestic Lodge in Gatlinburg presents a compelling option for large-group vacations and special gatherings. Its suitability for locals stems from several key aspects that align with the typical needs and desires for a Smoky Mountain retreat.

Firstly, the capacity of Majestic Lodge makes it ideal for multi-generational family reunions, church group retreats, or large friend gatherings – scenarios where finding enough suitable accommodation can be a challenge. Having everyone under one roof, with ample common areas like the game room, home theater, and large dining spaces, fosters togetherness and shared experiences that individual hotel rooms simply cannot offer. The multiple kitchens and appliances are particularly advantageous for locals who might prefer to cook meals for their large group, making the stay more economical and personalized.

Secondly, its location provides the quintessential Smoky Mountain experience. For those accustomed to the natural beauty of Tennessee, the views and serene setting offered by a cabin like Majestic Lodge are exactly what's sought after. Yet, it maintains easy access to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge's attractions, allowing for a balanced trip of relaxation and entertainment without extensive travel.

While some past reviews indicate challenges with maintenance and communication, it's common for large vacation rentals to have occasional issues. For local users, the key is often how these issues are addressed by property management. When considering such a booking, clear communication with the rental company beforehand, especially regarding specific amenities like the indoor pool, is paramount. Many locals prioritize the experience of coming together in a spacious, amenity-rich cabin over the standardized offerings of a traditional hotel.

Ultimately, Majestic Lodge offers the potential for an unforgettable group getaway in one of Tennessee’s most cherished natural landscapes. It provides the space, amenities, and location that cater to memorable gatherings, allowing Tennesseans to create cherished memories without having to venture far from home.

Absolute perfect location. 10-15 minutes away from key locations around Pigen Forge. The cabin was a good size. There was 19 of us and we had plenty of room. It was nice they had two fridges, two stoves, and two dishwashers. Even though one didn't work correctly for the week we were there. Only one microwave also. The bottom floor was always cold. The middle floor was moderate. Third floor was always hot. Had all the necessary utensils except for salt, pepper, charcoal, and lighter. Bring your own. The floors in the bedrooms aren't necessarily clean. We did not walk around barefoot in the bedrooms. Floors very dusty. I guess if the bedrooms don't get used, the cleaning people don't necessarily clean them. Overall it was a nice house but a bit on the pricey side the less people you bring.

Beautiful cabins! Would love to stay again. However, staff didn't go a good job cleaning behind previous visitors. One roll of toilet paper in each bathroom for 52 people over 3 days. Refrigerator kept leaking, maintenance did nothing to stop leaking, only cleaned water off of floor. Staff also entered our space with no mask on, potentially exposing us to COVID-19, as our entire family was tested before coming on the trip to the mountains together.

Stayed with a group for a covention and everything was perfect. The rooms were extremely spacious and there was room for everyone. Despite the number of people we had, we never had a problem with the hot water or anything. From the deck, we has a gorgeous view of the mountains. Definitely helped make the weekend a memorable. I hope we stay here again!

Our cabin was older and outdated. Half of the lights in the kitchen did not work and they said the bulbs were on back order. Our banister was broken and several outdoor chairs from the previous guests and the lodge didn't replace them or fix anything and still rented it out to us. We were not given enough towels or washcloths so thank goodness for Walmart! Multiple remotes missing in several rooms. The view from our balcony and the hot tub were the only plus sides to this particular cabin.
