Off season it is still pricey- but overall not a bad place to stay. I loved the oceanfront room and you have direct access to the beach and can walk to town easily. The walls in the room itself are actually very thin- we could hear the people in the next room. They have fires and s’mores which we missed because it was too windy- but understandable. The communal areas are so nice - I’m sure in the summer it’s amazing. Great stay for a quick couples weekend in November.

It was truly a wonderful experience. Thank you.
Dec 02, 2024 · Samia PendletonSummary: premium prices, below average service. Stay elsewhere and get better value for your money. Service was extremely poor, there was a power cut over 2 days we stayed and staff didn’t proactively keep us updated or offer any means of an apology. We had to keep asking what the latest was, which was frustrating. In general service just wasn’t great for the price, no attention to detail or finer touches that you’d expect from a hotel charging premium rates. In addition, the continental breakfast was something you’d find at a budget hotel - I completely understand the restaurant being closed for dinner, but cheap pastries, Cheerios and Kind Bars are pretty average - it wouldn’t have been hard to elevate it with better quality baked goods, fresh produce and decent coffee. Rooms were also starting to look tired, we had a massive stain on the side of our bedroom wall. The walls were paper thin, we heard neighbors up to business multiple times, talking and generally any footstep they made could be heard. I would however give 1 star for the location (the beach is beautiful, and only a few steps away) and 1 star for the evening wellness meditation coach (super fun and calming experience)
Oct 29, 2024 · JamesA few friends and I stayed here this past weekend and it was definitely disappointing. I will start off by saying the location is amazing and the grounds are beautiful. Having direct access to the beach and a super short walk to shops/restaurants was great! Unfortunately, the price for these rooms is just not worth what you get. The room we had was tiny, I mean there wasn’t even a closet which was shocking for the amount of money this hotel charges per night. There was a cabinet with a few shelves and then a rod-like structure against the wall with a few hangers. Also, the room was SO dark, there was no overhead lights at all, there was the bathroom light of course, a tiny paper lamp on the dresser, a small broken lamp between the beds, and a hanging lamp in one of the corners which gave off barely any light. There was also no phone in the room to contact the reception if you need anything or if you had an emergency and you had no cell access. The walls are paper thin, you can hear everything. Whoever was above us it literally sounded like a stampede. We were “upgraded” to a partial ocean view which was no upgrade at all, so many people walking back and forth through the walkway in front of our room, you basically have zero privacy, and again for this price point, privacy should be easy to come by. The parking attendants were very rude, and we were very nice to them but they had such bad attitudes. Also only ONE car is allowed to park per reservation, the other car(s) have to park at a nearby church and walk, which wasn’t too far but just inconvenient, again for this price point. When a friend of mine asked the front desk where does the other car park, her response was by the church, when my friend asked where is the church, the response was “the only one here”. First of all, it was our first time ever being there and second of all, that response from a staff member is just unacceptable. Overall, the location is great but this is not worth the price at all. We were a group of 4 and paid over $3K for 2 nights in 1 room.
Aug 27, 2024 · Ally FitzmauriceIt’s past 2am and I cannot sleep because people in the room next to mine are being talking, singing and playing music really loudly for the last 3h and it seems to be getting worse. I could barely sleep last night for the same reason. And it’s November! Can’t imagine what it’s like here during the high season. I called the management twice, the second time they simply didn’t pick up. I really hoped I’d come back here sometime in the summer, because the location is amazing, but since it is impossible to sleep – I will 100% stay somewhere else.
