A standard studio set up but there was no stove in the kitchen. We went to Walmart and bought a 2 burner hot plate, griddle and a lg and a small pot. That cost less than our first dinner out. We had everything we needed after that. The building is 3 levels. We were in the walk out basement. We had to bring all our stuff down the stairs; then up. I didn't mind the stairs so much, but we'd rather go up than down. We had internet but it was weak and kept dropping out. Lost the cable TV twice. We spent most of our time sleeping on the comfy king size bed, or out so the place was ok for that. The promised pool was down the street a bit at the Eastern Slope Inn. We brought our suits but didnt count on the pool being off site. We never made it there. Overall a good stay. The staff was pleasant and informative. Not what we expected, but over all an ok place to stay. Great location just a couple blocks away from the Main St, and access to travel routes to all the attractions.
For local users and travelers searching for "Hotels Near Me" in the picturesque White Mountains region of New Hampshire, Mountain View Resort in North Conway offers a unique apartment-style accommodation experience. Located at Jessicas Way, North Conway, NH 03860, USA, this resort is designed to provide guests with a home-away-from-home feel, particularly suited for longer stays or families seeking more space and self-sufficiency.
Mountain View Resort is situated on Jessicas Way in North Conway, a renowned four-season destination nestled in the heart of the White Mountains. While the name might suggest sweeping vistas directly from the property, customer reviews indicate that there are "no views from the resort" itself, clarifying that the 'Mountain View' refers more to its location within the scenic White Mountains region rather than immediate panoramic views from individual units. However, the resort's location is highly advantageous for exploring the natural beauty and myriad attractions of the area. It's described as being "just a couple blocks away from the Main St," providing easy access to North Conway Village with its quaint shops, diverse restaurants, and the historic Conway Scenic Railway.
The resort’s address offers excellent "access to travel routes to all the attractions." Guests are a short drive from major recreational areas like the White Mountain National Forest, offering countless hiking and biking trails. Popular ski resorts such as Cranmore Mountain Resort (approximately 7-minute drive) and Attitash Mountain Resort are within easy reach, making it an appealing choice for winter sports enthusiasts. Family-friendly attractions like Story Land, Kahuna Laguna Indoor Water Park, and Diana's Baths are also conveniently located. For shopping, Settlers' Green Outlet Village is just a short drive away, providing tax-free shopping opportunities. The overall environment is one of natural beauty and outdoor adventure, with the resort serving as a practical base for exploration.
Mountain View Resort is comprised of 16 apartments, offering spacious studio, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom units. These accommodations are designed for an extended stay, with features aiming for comfort and practicality. Customer reviews confirm that units are "Standard studio set up" or townhome style apartments. They are equipped with amenities typical of apartment living, including microwaves, dryers (in most units), and free WiFi. While one guest noted the absence of a stove in their studio, indicating a need to purchase a hot plate for full cooking capability, other information suggests that two- and three-bedroom units often come with full kitchens, including dishwashers and potentially fireplaces, providing a more comprehensive self-catering option.
Bedding is generally comfortable, with one review mentioning a "comfy king size bed." All units are air-conditioned and heated, ensuring comfort regardless of the season. Each apartment includes a private bathroom, television with cable channels, hair dryer, free toiletries, and an ironing board. Weekly housekeeping is provided, ensuring a maintained living space for longer stays.
One crucial aspect of the resort's features that has generated mixed feedback is the location of its recreational amenities. Guests have noted that the "promised pool was down the street a bit at the Eastern Slope Inn" and that "the advertised fitness equipment, pool and hot tub aren't on site. You have to drive to another resort in town to use their 'shared' facilities." This means guests have access to an indoor pool, indoor/outdoor hot tub, fitness center, and game room at the nearby Eastern Slope Inn, a separate resort located at 2760 White Mountain Highway. While this arrangement provides access to a broader range of facilities, it's important for potential guests to be aware that these amenities are not directly on-site at Mountain View Resort and require a short drive or walk.
The resort also offers free self-parking. Connectivity, however, appears to be an area for improvement, with one guest reporting that the "internet... was weak and kept dropping out" and cable TV outages occurred. The staff, however, is consistently praised for being "pleasant and informative," suggesting a good level of customer service despite some facility-related quirks.
Mountain View Resort operates with a limited-hour front desk (daily from 9:30 AM - 2:00 PM), and check-in involves specific instructions, requiring guests to contact the property in advance or go to a different check-in location (115 Jessica's Way). This is common for apartment or condo-style resorts and is important for guests to note for a smooth arrival. Guests are also required to clean their unit before departure (cleaning supplies provided) and dispose of garbage and recyclables at designated locations, a practice common in vacation club or condo rentals.
As a resort, Mountain View Resort often targets guests looking for vacation rentals, and its pricing can be influenced by "vacation club" memberships, which some guests mention as providing excellent value. While the resort doesn't typically offer traditional hotel-style promotions like daily breakfast or loyalty programs in the same way a chain hotel might, its value proposition often lies in the apartment-style setup and competitive weekly or longer-stay rates compared to standard hotel rooms in the area.
The core promotional points would be:
Specific seasonal promotions or last-minute deals would best be found by contacting the resort directly at (603) 356-0004 or checking various online travel agency websites. Guests should always clarify the exact amenities included in their specific unit type and the details of accessing the off-site facilities to avoid any surprises. There is a housekeeping fee of USD 150.00 per stay, and only registered guests are allowed in the guestrooms. The resort generally does not allow pets.
In conclusion, Mountain View Resort in North Conway, NH, serves as a practical and well-located option for travelers seeking apartment-style accommodations in the White Mountains. While it offers a comfortable base with kitchen facilities and access to shared recreational amenities, potential guests should manage expectations regarding on-site facilities and direct mountain views, focusing instead on its convenient location for exploring the vibrant North Conway area and its surrounding natural beauty.

Oct 24, 2024 · SusanMarie LeeWe couldn't beat the vacation club price and had a very comfortable stay. The kitchen was great! The condos are definitely showing their age and so if you're looking for something trendy or modern this isn't the place. My only complaint is that the advertised fitness equipment, pool and hot tub aren't on site. You have to drive to another resort in town to use their "shared" facilities. There are no views from the resort but you are a short drive from lots of beautiful trails.
Apr 04, 2023 · Suzanne DeerenGreat place to stay! We stayed in a 3 bedroom unit and it is laid out nicely. Plenty of space to spread out. There was 10 of us (4 children) and had plenty of room. Not much to do at the resort but a 5 minute drive you can use the pool, gym, and other things at the Eastern Slope Inn. Will stay here again! The pictures are the one bedroom lock out unit on the lower level. The other bedrooms are on the 3rd floor.
Aug 13, 2021 · Christopher CollupyThis is a time share that my cousin has. So I don't know about the service. The time share was very homey and beds were comfortable.
Oct 27, 2024 · Katherine DavidsonClean and cozy. Nice staff. The mini kitchen I'm our studio room was more than I'd expected from the pictures of the website (decent fridge, sink, coffee maker, toaster, and electric griddle/roaster). The bathroom wasn't anything fancy, but spacious and the jet tub was great (until it ran out of hot water). It was too bad that the ceiling wasn't better sound proofed, since we could hear the folks upstairs walking around a lot. Overall nice and we would definitely return.
