Jun 20, 2023 · Chantal MartinThe day of our vacation we received a call saying we could not rent their UTV’s. They stated that they would refund our money for the UTV rentals, but due to insurance issues on their end they couldn’t rent us their vehicles. Greg helped us find another rental company and was very apologetic. They however, refused to refund the money for the cabin that we had rented even if we couldn’t find another UTV rental. The address they had emailed us as the location for the cabin was incorrect and Greg had to escort us to the correct location of the cabin. When we arrived it smelled very strongly of cleanser, even though there was leftover gummies, food, and trash in one bedroom. We were given one roll of paper towels and three rolls of toilet paper for five people. The kitchen had issues, as the can opener didn’t work, there was only four glasses, and there wasn’t a sheet pan/cookie sheet. On day two, we started noticing a strong mildew/mold smell and it caused us to have a cough after spending several hours in the cabin. We admittedly have become accustomed to the amenities of AirBNB rentals, however this cabin is not worth the cost of rental per night. Riverview #1 is a duplex not a house, as it looks in the photos.
Aug 03, 2023 · Kerri DilsaverLoved our stay. The Uptown Lodge is perfectly situated in Pineville with amenities close by. The space was comfortable and well appointed. We had a great stay and would definitely return!
Jun 27, 2021 · Angeline CrowderWe stayed for the week before Easter. We had a great time. Ole Lodging id's great and here is why. We drove from Georgia and when arrived about 9 hrs later to Pineville it was snowing like crazy. We made it to the Restaurant to check in and off to the Lodge (River Bend ) we went. Well we made it to within about a mile and a half. A truck had hit a telephone pole right at the lodge and was on fire. We could get to the lodge. We turned around and went back to the Restaurant. Told them what was going on and we ate while the electric company and fire department worked. Although it wasnt Ole lodges fault that we were stranded at that point, they gave us half off of our food. I love staying with them and will be back. The hospitality and accommodations are by far the best.
