By far the nastiest room I’ve ever stayed in. Multiple people moving there and w there children very loud during the day. Spent one night there n left covered in bug bites even after using my own comforter. The shower was absolutely disgusting I wouldn’t even step foot in it. Dirt stand running down the side of the tub and toilet. Floor was sticky. Trash found under our mattress and trash and cigarette butts behind nightstand. Room and hallway smelled of dirty stinky mildew, mold and smoke
When local users search for "Hotels Near Of Me" in the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania area, Red Roof Inn Harrisburg North at 400 Corporate Cir, Harrisburg, PA 17110, USA, may appear as a potential option, particularly for those seeking budget-friendly accommodation. To provide a comprehensive and objective introduction, it's essential to examine the hotel's environment, services, features, and promotional aspects, drawing from both general brand characteristics and specific customer feedback.
The environment surrounding the Red Roof Inn Harrisburg North is typical of a hotel situated in a corporate circle or near a major highway exit. Its address, 400 Corporate Cir, Harrisburg, PA 17110, suggests its placement within a commercial or business park area, often characterized by other businesses, offices, and perhaps other hotels. This kind of location typically offers easy access to major roadways, such as Interstate 81, which is a significant advantage for travelers. Proximity to a highway allows for convenient travel to downtown Harrisburg, the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex, and various attractions in the wider Central Pennsylvania region, including Hershey. While the immediate vicinity might not offer extensive walkable attractions or dining options, the strength of its environment lies in its vehicular accessibility. For guests with their own transportation, this location provides a strategic base for exploring the area. The "no frills" aspect mentioned in one review aligns with the expectations of a budget hotel, implying that the environmental focus is on functionality and access rather than elaborate landscaping or extensive on-site leisure facilities.
In terms of services and features, Red Roof Inn as a brand is known for providing essential amenities at an economical price point. While specific details for this particular location are not exhaustively provided, common services at Red Roof Inn properties typically include complimentary Wi-Fi, which is crucial for modern travelers to stay connected. They are often pet-friendly, a significant feature highlighted by one reviewer who stated, "Perfect spot to rest your head, especially if you have a dog." This makes it an attractive option for travelers with furry companions, as finding pet-friendly accommodation can sometimes be a challenge. The emphasis is generally on providing a clean room and a comfortable bed for a restful night's sleep. Many Red Roof Inn locations also offer flat-screen TVs with a selection of channels and in-room coffee makers. While not luxurious, these amenities aim to cover basic comfort needs. The "service was super friendly" comment from a satisfied guest indicates a positive aspect of the staff's interaction, suggesting that despite any potential room issues, the human element of service can be a strong point.
However, an objective introduction must also address the contrasting experiences of guests, particularly concerning the features and cleanliness of the rooms. One review paints a starkly negative picture: "By far the nastiest room I’ve ever stayed in. Room and hallway smelled of dirty stinky mildew, mold and smoke." This detailed account raises severe concerns about hygiene, pest control, and the overall upkeep of the property. The mention of "very loud" conditions during the day also suggests potential issues with noise insulation or the general atmosphere within the hotel. These are critical aspects that directly impact a guest's comfort and health. Such a review indicates a significant inconsistency in room quality and maintenance, and it is a crucial piece of information for any potential guest to consider.
In stark contrast, another review provides a much more positive assessment: "Perfect spot to rest your head... Price was right, service was super friendly and rooms clean. No frills but perfect for our purposes. We stayed at another RRI on the way to SC last week and this one was MUCH nicer!" This feedback directly contradicts the negative review regarding cleanliness ("rooms clean") and highlights the value proposition ("Price was right"). The comparison to "another RRI" (another Red Roof Inn) suggests that this particular location might be considered superior by some guests compared to other properties within the same brand. This disparity in reviews indicates that guest experiences at Red Roof Inn Harrisburg North can be highly variable. For some, it meets the expectation of a "no frills", clean, and affordable place to sleep, while for others, it falls far short of basic hospitality standards. This variability is a key characteristic to consider when evaluating this hotel.
Regarding promotional information, Red Roof Inn Harrisburg North primarily leverages its brand's reputation for affordability and its strategic location. Its presence on platforms where users search for "Hotels Near Of Me" ensures visibility. The direct phone numbers, (717) 657-1445 and mobile +1 717-657-1445, serve as direct contact points for reservations and inquiries. The "Price was right" comment from a satisfied customer underscores that competitive pricing is a significant part of its appeal. As a Red Roof Inn, it often promotes its pet-friendly policy as a distinct advantage for travelers with animals. The hotel's location near major interstate routes and attractions in Harrisburg provides a continuous promotional message of convenience for various travel purposes, whether it's a stopover on a long journey or a base for local exploration. However, prospective guests are strongly advised to review multiple recent customer feedbacks from various sources to gain a more complete understanding of the current state of the property, given the stark differences in reported experiences. This diligent research can help manage expectations and determine if the value proposition aligns with individual priorities for cleanliness and comfort.

May 20, 2025 · Kayla DavisPerfect spot to rest your head, especially if you have a dog. We stopped here on the way home to Canada. Price was right, service was super friendly and rooms clean. No frills but perfect for our purposes. We stayed at another RRI on the way to SC last week and this one was MUCH nicer!
Feb 26, 2025 · Brittany GovingRooms were clean and service was great. Price was very good. Rooms were small, but bed was very comfortable.
May 18, 2025 · Thomas HammondFirst time here whiletraveling. Room is clean and bed is comfortable. No bed bugs which is a problem with hotels everywhere. Room offers coffee pot tv microwave and refrigerator. This single room doesn't have a sink vanity but just an overnight stay is doable. Quiet area with plenty of parking. I felt safe as I was traveling alone. Drive to eateries is a few miles. My only issue was the heating/cooling of the room. As a light sleeper the unit was loud and had odd noises. I don't know if all of them have the same issue. I'd return but avoid this room.
Feb 21, 2025 · Sherry SmithThe price and location was perfect. The king size bed was comfortable and the room seemed clean. However we did find a sock on the floor that must have been left behind by a previous guest. The fan was loud but didn't really bother us too much. It appears a large dog was left alone in the room because of the damage on the entry way door jam.
