I asked for adjoining rooms for myself and my daughter and her family for my sons wedding as my husband recently passed away suddenly. I was told they could not guarantee as the rooms were saved for handicapped people, but would definitely do their best to accommodate. I called again the week of the wedding and explained my anxiety at staying alone at a motel and if there were any adjoining rooms available. Again they said they would do their best. When we arrived the girl was very shocked when I said we were supposed to have adjoining rooms if available and she was surprised as they didn't even have our rooms near each other. I was so upset to say the least as my anxiety was already elevated. They finally got us next to each other but not adjoining, although I was in a handicapped room with an adjoining regular room that was occupied by someone else. Why they couldn't have put my daughter in that room, they could not explain. Imagine yourself after losing your husband of 37 years and the amazing father of your children and being put through something like this while still mourning and trying your best to get through something that should have been such a happy occasion. The staff was so uncaring even after my daughter pretty much begged them to figure something out. They were very uncaring and joking with each others faults as I'm literally almost in tears. Such a horrible experience. Will never go back here again!!!

Customer feedback for the SpringHill Suites Harrisburg Hershey offers a mixed perspective, highlighting both positive aspects and areas for improvement. On the positive side, many guests praise the comfortable and spacious rooms, a hallmark of the all-suite concept. The convenience of the location, particularly its direct access to I-81 and proximity to various businesses and attractions, is frequently appreciated by travelers. Some guests have specifically commended certain staff members, noting their friendliness and accommodating nature, such as "Mike at the bar," who seems to enhance the guest experience with entertainment.
However, a significant concern raised by some guests revolves around customer service, particularly regarding specific requests like adjoining rooms. One detailed review illustrates a deeply negative experience concerning a lack of empathy and accommodation from staff when a guest was dealing with a sensitive personal situation and had requested adjoining rooms. This suggests that while general interactions might be positive, the hotel's ability to handle complex or empathetic guest needs may vary. Another point of feedback, though less critical for some, is the audible freeway noise due to the hotel's location. While this is often an expected trade-off for highway proximity, it's a factor for noise-sensitive individuals. Overall, while many aspects like room quality and general staff attitude are well-received, the consistency of service in handling particular guest needs is an area where improvement has been suggested.
The SpringHill Suites Harrisburg Hershey generally promotes itself as an ideal choice for travelers seeking extra space and amenities, offering "refreshing and stylish suites" with separate living and sleeping areas. For those utilizing the "Hotels Near Of Me" search, the hotel's key value propositions include its spacious all-suite accommodations, complimentary hot breakfast, free Wi-Fi, and the convenience of an indoor pool and fitness center. As part of the Marriott family of brands, the hotel participates in the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program, allowing guests to earn and redeem points for stays, elevating the overall value for frequent travelers.
While specific, short-term promotional offers are best confirmed directly with the hotel or through Marriott's official booking channels, SpringHill Suites often provides competitive rates for advance bookings, extended stays, and discounts for AAA members, seniors, government/military personnel, and corporate clients. The hotel emphasizes its suitability for both leisure and business travel, given its comprehensive amenities and strategic location. Its proximity to major attractions like Hersheypark and the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex, combined with its comfortable suite offerings, makes it an attractive option for families and individuals. Despite isolated negative feedback regarding specific service interactions, the hotel's brand reputation and general offerings position it as a strong contender for a comfortable and convenient stay in the Harrisburg-Hershey area.

Apr 27, 2025 · Kathleen BrowningBusiness trip. Room was great. Everything I needed. You can hear SOME freeway noice but that is to be expected. Staff were great! Easy check in process and accommodating. Make sure you visit Mike at the bar. His riddles will keep you entertained all evening. Would love to stay here again.
Apr 04, 2025 · Ryan ShippDefinitely will give 3 stars overall. When we checked in 04-19. My wife asked for an extra towels in the room and I went down for a while to get some other things in the car. The black lady who is there during the night, I accidentally met her in the elevator and she just handed me over the towel coz she said my wife requested for it. I would fire her if i was the manager.
Apr 22, 2025 · Don DarellThis hotel was a disaster for our vacation. The pool was down and they assured us when booking it would be available. Their solution is to send you next door to another hotel pool. The room we got was not up to standards either. The bathroom door was broken and would not stay shut. Having to use the toilet in full view of the room was not a great experience for the family. The service was terrible and the staff could not do anything to help. The worst part is the billing department for this hotel is a joke. The additional hold takes 3-5 days to come off your account even after they charge you. Id recommend any other hotel in the area. Will never be returning and will exclude all Marriott hotels from further consideration. Worst hotel experience ever.
Jan 11, 2025 · Joshua CampbellThe room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was well stocked and had a good selection. Located close to downtown and the agricultural center. A little close to the highway so the road noise was bothersome. Booked a double queen suite, but were given a king, luckily the room had a trundle bed so there was room for the whole family.
