We stayed for 3 nights at the SpringHill Suites San Antonio Airport location. Upon our initial 2 nights we were very satisfied with our stay. On the last day in our room, our 3 year found a small red tablet on the carpet, in front of the mini fridge, and almost ate it, thinking it was candy. Luckily we caught him before he could ingest it. I did a google search and luckily it was a nasal decongestant and not any sort of controlled substance, however with his size and age, he could have still became very ill. I am a pediatric nurse and I take things of this nature very serious because I have seen first hand the damage that even over the counter medications can do when accidentally consumed by small children. We tossed the pill in the trash and planned to just speak to front desk on our way out, but then, upon doing our final room sweep to make sure when did not forget any of our belongings, my husband noted a used condom along with small old popcorn pieces on the carpet just under the AC unit. We were both extremely disgusted and grateful that our 3 year old did not also pick this up. We went downstairs to checkout and let the front desk know and were simply told “I am sorry and I will let housekeeping know”. I understand small things get missed throughout the day to day, and rooms will not ever be prefect, however these were 2 very large issues that I believe deserved more of a response. There’s no telling what kind of diseases/germs our child could have come in contact with, from the used condom on our room floor. Issues like this point to laziness and blatant negligence in cleaning/sanitization of the room. We are beyond upset and would absolutely never stay here again.

Jun 11, 2025 · Nicole VanoWe absolutely loved this hotel, and the service was super great! The options we had to be able to leave our vehicle there on property for a week were outstanding. I totally enjoyed the breakfast they served before our flight and the shuttle service to the airport, then back to the hotel the following weekend to retrieve our vehicle. We will make this our new home away from home in the future, especially if we are flying out from SA again. Major kudos to all that were working that day we arrived, and returned. John S
May 26, 2025 · John StoryI typically stay over 20 nights a year at Marriott properties and have always appreciated the standard of cleanliness and consistency they provide. Unfortunately, this location was a major disappointment and ranks as one of the dirtiest and most poorly maintained Marriott properties I’ve stayed in. Cleanliness was a serious issue from the moment I arrived. The hallways reeked of a strong dog odor mixed with a gym locker room, making the entire floor feel unclean and neglected. Inside the room, the problems continued: • The couch had multiple visible stains and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned or replaced in years (see photo). • The shower floor was stained and grimy, and the tile walls had visible mildew. • The sink area was especially concerning — the basin appeared broken and had been “repaired” with a thick, sloppy application of putty (photo attached). It looked unprofessional and unsanitary. To make matters worse, the elevators were unsafe and clearly neglected. The signs inside the elevators were missing, with rusted screw holes where they had once been — like they’d been gone for a while with no urgency to replace them. Even more alarming, the elevator would sometimes take you to your floor, open halfway, slam shut, and then require you to press the button for your floor again — only for the door to reopen at the same floor you had already reached. It felt sketchy and unsafe. I was only here for one night, but it was more than enough. For a brand that normally maintains high standards, this location was a total letdown. I strongly urge Marriott to step in and address the serious cleanliness, maintenance, and safety issues at this property.
May 27, 2025 · Myles YoungThe room wasn't what I was expecting. I was traveling with a dance team and staff and was expecting that the room what be a bit larger, & I wasn't expecting a trundle bed, as it was very difficult to manage, with a group of girls and 1 other staff member. But We managed as we always do! The room was clean, & well maintained. I had requested more blankets, towels and a few extra things prior to the arrival that wasn't in the room, however, Jacob & Jennifer didn't hesitate to jump into action and get us what we needed. They were very accommodating, especially Jacob. He personally delivered all the items we needed to our room, and was more than happy to do it. It was a great trip. The hotel was in a great location and accessible to pretty much everything. I highly recommend and will definitely revisit if in in the area. Thank you Jacob & Jennifer for taking care of us when we came to participate in the Amp Dance Competition. 🩰💜
Mar 20, 2025 · FIT TO DANCE STUDIOWorst experience ever. We had a fully prepaid booking in the SPRINGHILL SUITES by Marriott San Antonio Airport for the night of Jun 13-14 2025 in San Antonio for three people, including our 9-year-old child. We even completed the online check-in in advance, and on the day of arrival, we **called the hotel** to confirm we would be arriving in the evening. They assured us that checking in late would not be a problem. However, when we arrived, we were informed there were **no available rooms**, and we were **denied check-in**. The hotel staff then sent us to another hotel, which also turned us away, saying they had no information about our case. We spent over an hour trying to get written confirmation from the original hotel, while our child was sleeping on a couch in the lobby. We were exhausted, emotionally and physically, after a long day of travel. The hotel staff told us that the payment had been made through Booking.com and that **we had to resolve the issue with them**, as they could not help us. The guy at the reception (Jared) was completely unwilling to help us with that. He didn't want to call to another hotel to check if they have room for us, several times said that our booking had been canceled without providing any legit confirmation of that trying to send us away as soon as possible. After an hour of arguing with us he gave the cell of his manager and I had to call him by my own. Only the Hotel manager Robert was able to figure out that an incompetent receptionist sent us to the wrong hotel and we still had rooms transfered and available in another Mariott. We really appreciate his attention to this matter. However, the hotel room in their sister hotel had only ONE bed instead of two that we originally booked, so we had no other choice left us. We had to accept that and agree for worse conditions just because there were no other options offered.
