You can tell there is not a lot of money invested into this place. It's survivable, but definitely not quality. The first card she gave me did not work on my room door. Once I got in, some of the lamps don't turn on. The office chair is stained, ripped, and wiggly. The bathroom is very small and looks like it hasn't been re-done in 50 years. Most of the furniture, like the TV stand and nightstands, honestly look like they were salvaged off the side of the road

Super 8 by Wyndham Middletown Introduce

For local users in and around Middletown, New York, who are searching for "Hotels Near Of Me," the Super 8 by Wyndham Middletown is an option that may appear, particularly for those seeking budget-friendly accommodation. Located at 563 NY-211, Middletown, NY 10940, USA, this hotel is part of the Super 8 brand, which typically caters to travelers looking for economical stays. For direct inquiries, the hotel can be reached at (845) 765-3622 or +1 845-765-3622.

Regarding its environment, the Super 8 by Wyndham Middletown is situated directly on NY-211, a state highway. This roadside location offers easy access for travelers by car and typically places it within reach of local businesses, dining options, and other amenities along the route. From a guest perspective, the immediate surroundings of the hotel, while convenient for transportation, may not offer a picturesque or highly aesthetic environment. One reviewer noted that "The location is not bad," implying functional accessibility. However, the same reviewer also mentioned "some sketchy people around this location," which can impact the perceived safety and comfort of the immediate environment. The internal environment of the hotel, as described by customer reviews, unfortunately paints a picture of a property that is "run down" and "smelled bad inside every location... Smelled like a smoky casino." This suggests a challenging sensory environment for guests, with unpleasant odors being a significant detractor. The general impression is one of a property that lacks significant recent investment, contributing to an overall environment that is not conducive to a high-quality or comfortable stay. This environmental assessment is crucial for local users, as it directly impacts the guest experience beyond just the room itself.

In terms of services, the Super 8 by Wyndham Middletown, as a budget hotel, would typically offer fundamental lodging services. These generally include a front desk for check-in/check-out and basic inquiries. However, customer experiences highlight significant issues with the functionality and quality of these services. One guest reported that "The first card she gave me did not work on my room door," indicating a problem with a fundamental service like room access. Another major service failure was the TV not working, with the staff only offering "random steps to do" rather than a direct solution or assistance. This suggests a lack of robust maintenance or immediate support for guest issues. The presence of a front office is implied, but the effectiveness of the support provided appears to be inconsistent. Basic amenities like towels are provided, but a reviewer noted they "smelled like smoke," indicating issues with cleaning or odor control in laundry services. The shower, a crucial service for any guest, also suffered from "no water pressure." While no specific details on complimentary breakfast, Wi-Fi quality, or parking are provided in these reviews, the general tone suggests that even fundamental services may be compromised by the overall lack of investment in the property's upkeep. For guests, the ability to "just slept and showered" was the primary utility, implying a very basic level of functional service.

The features of the Super 8 by Wyndham Middletown are characterized by a lack of upkeep and dated infrastructure, as repeatedly mentioned in customer feedback. The most prominent feature, or rather lack thereof, is the perceived absence of significant financial investment in the property. Guest rooms are described as having "stained, ripped, and wiggly" office chairs, and furniture that "look like they were salvaged off the side of the road," including the "TV stand and nightstands." This indicates a very low standard of furnishing and maintenance. The bathrooms are also noted as "very small and looks like it hasn't been re-done in 50 years," pointing to severely outdated fixtures and design. Functional features like lamps are reported as not turning on, further detracting from the room's usability. The presence of a television is a feature, but its non-functionality, as experienced by a guest, renders it useless. The overall "smelled bad" feature of the entire premises, including the "smoky casino" smell and smoke-smelling towels, is a significant negative characteristic that impacts the sensory experience for guests. The lack of proper water pressure in the shower is another functional feature that falls short of basic expectations. While a "location is not bad" for accessibility, the presence of "sketchy people" in the immediate vicinity is also a concerning feature that impacts guest comfort and perceived safety.

When considering promotional information, it is challenging to highlight positive aspects based on the provided reviews, as the feedback is overwhelmingly negative regarding the hotel's condition and many of its features. Any objective promotion would need to be extremely cautious to avoid misleading potential guests. For local users searching for "Hotels Near Of Me" with a strict budget in mind, the hotel's primary, and perhaps only, promotional point would be its low price, which is inherent to the Super 8 brand. However, this must be balanced with the realistic expectation of the quality of the stay. Promotional materials might focus on its "survivable" aspect for a very short, functional stay, perhaps for individuals who are extremely tired from travel and only need a place to sleep and shower briefly, as one reviewer mentioned. It would be difficult to promote comfort, cleanliness beyond basic, or a pleasant environment. Instead, any promotional efforts, if attempting to be transparent, might emphasize affordability and a convenient roadside location, while subtly implying that it is a no-frills, very basic option. The negative experiences, such as the broken key cards, non-functional TVs, stained furniture, and unpleasant odors, are significant deterrents that would make positive promotion challenging without significant physical improvements to the property. Given the direct and strong statements like "Never ever would I book here," any promotional messaging would need to be carefully crafted to manage very low expectations, or the hotel would need substantial investment in renovation and maintenance to align with general guest expectations for even a budget-friendly stay.

This place was run down. It smelled bad inside every location of this place. Smelled like a smoky casino. Horrible not what you want to sleep with. The towels smelled like smoke. The tv would not work even after I went to office and they told me the random steps to do. Would have checked out early but was far too tired after our long traveling from California. Thankfully we mostly just slept and showered. Even the shower had no water pressure. Never ever would I book here. The location is not bad. But some sketchy people around this location

My friend stayed in room 106 and woke up with bites everywhere on her. Her face, legs, hands everything was bit by bedbugs. There was a bird in the room across from her, a dog in the other one, and then a cat in the window. Everytime she turned on the heat she got super sleepy and couldn't stay awake and it had a weird smell. DONT STAY AT SUPER 8 UNLESS YOU WANT SUPER ATE BY BUGS

0/5 stars Day 1 of 28: Welcome to the Super 8 Survival Chronicles First impressions? It’s like walking into a YMCA locker room that gave up on life. The smell? Chef’s kiss—old coffee, sweat, and a faint hint of despair, like an AA meeting but without the emotional breakthroughs. The room? Tiny. The beds? Smaller. The walls? Probably dead. Day 2 of 28: The Descent into Madness Alright, it’s official—this place isn’t a hotel. It’s a social experiment. The room was so cold last night I had to drop extra cash on blankets and pillows because the ones they provide are thin enough to see through. And let me be clear: this room is not handicap accessible. It’s barely human accessible. Stained towels, zero amenities (no toothbrush or toothpaste), and the space is so small I’m convinced I could touch all four walls at once if I tried. The key cards? Oh, they stop working every five minutes, and instead of fixing the issue, the staff straight-up blamed me. They hit me with the “you need to be more responsible” line like I’m some rebellious teenager. Let it happen one more time, and I swear I’m going full Hulk mode. Also, cigarettes. Everywhere. Disposed of in every possible crevice, like the previous guests were running a scavenger hunt for nicotine addicts. Outside? Forget it—there’s nowhere to sit if you want to smoke. You’re just left to loiter awkwardly, contemplating life and your terrible choices. Let’s talk about the TV remote. Oh wait, it doesn’t work, so there’s nothing to talk about. The whole place feels like a low-budget horror movie set. It’s giving me serious Middletown Motel on the Hill vibes—the kind of place you warn people about in ghost stories. Bottom line: don’t touch this place with a meter stick, a pole, or even good intentions. It’s not worth it. Two days in, and I’m already questioning my will to live. Pray for me—I still have 26 more days of this nightmare.
