We stayed at Tennessee Treasure 232 on July 18-21 2024. When we first arrived we were greeted with pigeon poop ALL over the entrance deck, a trashed Hot tub lid that was just thrown outside the cabin and A very wobbly banister and rigged steps to go up to the cabin .Now I’m not a picky person but I was super disappointed with the condition and cleanliness of the cabin. The kitchen had food crumbs all over the floor . In between the stove was so disgusting There was shredded cheese crumbs, all in the drawers. every floor was super gunky. I took my shoes off right away when we got there and my feet were turned black! The hot tub did not work properly. Only one seat actually had good working jets. With such a beautiful view You would want to see the mountains, but it was ruined by such dirty windows. The pillows that they offered you was stained with what could only be piss and were super flat. The pull-out couch in the living room was full of crumbs and dirt. We found several items and trash left over from other guests. Every TV remote was gunky, and you did not want to touch it .The downstairs bathroom door was thick of skin cells and dirt . I asked for the cabin to be re-cleaned while we went out but when we came back they had only swept the kitchen floor and picked up trash out of the laundry closet left by other guests..I message the company(Aunt Bugs) with my complaints and they never responded. I would love to share photos but it seems you can’t up load them here.
Are you dreaming of a mountain escape right here in our beautiful Tennessee backyard? For locals and visitors alike, the allure of the Great Smoky Mountains is undeniable. When it comes to finding that perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort for your getaway, a cabin rental often comes to mind. Among the many options, Tennessee Treasure in Sevierville aims to provide a memorable experience amidst the stunning natural scenery.
Nestled in the heart of Sevierville, Tennessee, Tennessee Treasure isn't your typical hotel; it's a private vacation cabin, offering a unique and often more spacious lodging alternative. This type of accommodation is particularly popular for those looking for a home-away-from-home feel, whether you're planning a family reunion, a romantic retreat, or just a relaxing break from the everyday hustle and bustle of city life.
The appeal of a cabin in the Smokies lies in its ability to offer both seclusion and proximity to the region's famous attractions. Imagine waking up to mountain views, enjoying a cup of coffee on a private deck, and then having the option to explore Dollywood, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, or the Great Smoky Mountains National Park within a short drive. Tennessee Treasure aims to deliver on this promise, providing a private haven that serves as a convenient base for all your adventures.
While hotels offer standardized services, a private cabin like Tennessee Treasure offers a different kind of experience, often emphasizing privacy, unique amenities like game rooms and private hot tubs, and a more integrated connection with the natural surroundings. It’s about creating a personal retreat where memories are made, often with more space for families or groups to spread out and enjoy their time together.
However, it's important to set realistic expectations and understand the specific nature of this type of accommodation. Unlike a hotel with a front desk and daily housekeeping, vacation cabins often operate differently, with check-in procedures and maintenance handled by property management. Reviewers often share varied experiences, which is common for individual rental properties. Understanding these nuances before booking can help ensure your stay is as delightful as the mountain views.
Let's delve into the specifics of what Tennessee Treasure offers and how it fits into the vibrant Sevierville vacation landscape.

The "Oakridge View" in the address hints at the potential for scenic vistas, which is a major draw for visitors to the Smokies. While it's nestled in a wooded or resort area, the roads leading to the cabin are typically paved and well-maintained by resort staff, ensuring relatively stress-free travel year-round. As a private cabin rental, Tennessee Treasure provides a different set of "services" compared to a traditional hotel. The focus is on providing a fully equipped living space for a self-catered vacation. While direct hotel-style services like daily room service or a front desk might not be present, the rental typically includes:
It's important to remember that these are not hotel services in the traditional sense, but rather the provisions of a furnished vacation rental. Guests are generally responsible for their own daily upkeep, trash removal (to designated areas), and restocking of personal supplies beyond initial provisions.

For residents across Tennessee, especially those in the eastern part of the state, a stay at Tennessee Treasure in Sevierville offers a unique and highly suitable alternative to traditional hotel stays, transforming a simple getaway into a personalized mountain experience. While the idea of a vacation rental might traditionally be associated with out-of-state tourists, these cabins hold immense appeal and practical benefits for locals.
Firstly, the concept of a staycation or a short, convenient escape is perfectly embodied by Tennessee Treasure. Living in Tennessee, we have the incredible Smoky Mountains right in our backyard. Driving to Sevierville for a few days in a private cabin eliminates the long travel times and expenses associated with more distant vacations. It offers a quick, accessible retreat where you can truly unplug and enjoy nature without the stress of extensive planning.
Secondly, for those who frequently host visiting family and friends, Tennessee Treasure presents an ideal solution. Instead of accommodating everyone at home, particularly larger groups, booking a spacious cabin like this provides your guests with their own private retreat. They get to experience the authentic Smoky Mountain lodging, complete with amenities like a game room and hot tub, which often surpass what a traditional guest room at home can offer. This ensures both your guests' comfort and your own household's peace, creating a more harmonious visit for everyone.
The cabin's features, such as multiple bedrooms and a game room, are particularly attractive for families with children. Locals with kids will appreciate the extra space and built-in entertainment, which can make a short trip feel like a genuine adventure. The indoor activities can be a lifesaver on rainy days or during downtime, keeping everyone engaged.
While some customer reviews highlight challenges related to initial cleanliness or maintenance issues, this is common for individually owned and managed rental properties. For locals, this means setting clear expectations and promptly communicating any concerns with the property management upon arrival. Many managing companies are responsive to immediate issues, aiming to resolve them quickly to ensure a pleasant stay.
Ultimately, Tennessee Treasure offers a chance to experience the beauty and charm of the Smoky Mountains from a private, comfortable, and amenity-rich base. It’s an opportunity for locals to reconnect with the natural splendor of our state, enjoy quality time with loved ones in a unique setting, and create lasting memories right here in Tennessee.

Jul 23, 2024 · Kim RikeVery quiet area, a bit hard to find. The cabin could’ve been cleaner, found a lot of spider webs in the bed rooms and ants in the movie room. The doors were coming off the hinges but maintenance came to fix them. The cabin was a lot of fun, game floor was fun, pool ,jacuzzi, lots of sleeping space. Plenty of things for kids to do. More activities about 15 minutes from the cabin.
Sep 05, 2023 · Liddy BAbsolutely beautiful cabin, supplied with almost everything you could need for your stay .Really enjoyed my stay from the hot tub ,pool table and video games. With Amazing views. Sep 26, 2021 · Beckie WeberDO NOT RENT! Please please do yourself a huge favor and go with any company other than Timber Top Rental! Gave us an incorrect keyless entry number and we had to climb through an open window hours after arriving to get into the cabin. NO ONE EVER CALLED ME BACK! Stained sheets with hair, dead bugs, view of a trailer in the woods surrounded by trash and the worse customer service I have ever experienced! DO NOT USE!
Dec 10, 2021 · Laura TaylorNot enough towels. No electrical outlets in downstairs bathroom. One bedroom is suitable for children 8 and under but no one age 8 or older could sleep in the bunk beds.
