We have been coming up for EAA the last 3 or 4 years. I found this place on hotels.com a couple years ago and have never looked back. This place is 15'ish miles from Wittman. Since we're at the show pretty much when the doors open and then stay there well after close, I only need a place to lay our heads and shower. I don't need 4 or 5 star accommodations. As such, at this price point, distance, etc, this place is perfect. In past years I have been able to rent the private house, but this year and even next year (I preemptively reserved for EAA 2026 before we left yesterday), the private house was taken. I was sad. Anyway, this year we got room 5, and yes the fridge in there looks like someone used it for target practice or a knife throwing competition. Yes, the A/C doesn't have it's knobs on it. However it was 100* with the heat and humidity at Oshkosh this year, and we were out in that for 12+ hours a majority of that in the sun, so it (the A/C unit) was blowing cold air and it felt glorious. My biggest issue (and it's a small one, no pun intended) was the shower size. I almost needed crisco oil to get in/out of it. But again, for what we need, it absolutely works and I have zero issues. One reviewer (Keiran I think), complained about the place being closed when they got there. I was in the same boat, but called ahead and explained I was going to be at EAA until late that night (past their closing time), and he (Michael I think), gave me my room number and said the keys would be inside and sure as heck they were. You created a lot of extra hassle for yourself not knowing this. Check out time, I usually chit-chat with the regulars and the owners in the bar area (where all the reservations, gas for the boats, etc take place) and have zero issues. Really nice people and really have no issues some others have seemed to have.

Jul 28, 2025 · CMNTMXR57Made a reservation and nobody was there to let us in the room, despite having called the day before to make sure someone would be able to let us is. Called the night of and no answer. Found a room at a different hotel and stayed there. Got a partial refund for not staying and when I called back to try and get the rest of the refund the person cussed me out and called names. Do not do business here.
Apr 28, 2025 · kieran williamsThe rooms were dated and not the best but they were clean and the staff were great, but if you're coming just to fish and are not looking for luxury it's great with plenty of places to cast your line.
Jul 04, 2025 · EDWARD DAVISNothing fancy, great for the price, super friendly host and staff. Might see ya again!
Jul 12, 2025 · Erik WThe bar was okay at best. No restroom in the bar. You had to walk across the parking lot to use a restroom. The room was an absolute joke. The refrigerator door had what looked like someone was throwing knifes at it! The windows air conditioner had no control knobs on it and there is absolutely no way I would have taken a shower in the room!! We moved on to somewhere else. $100.00 totally wasted!
