May 27, 2025 · Leonard EllenbergerFirst time at Mud Pit. Very well run. Came down with my 19 year old son. Awesome location to Pocahontas & Indian Ridge. We stayed in cabin 7. It had a full kitchen. The utensils/plates/cups could be better. Nice having the Kureg coffee with provided coffee. 👍. The AC unit was extremely noisy, it buzzed loudly. The bed mattresses (both queen & bunks) need to be better. My son slept in the bedroom with a queen and by day 3 he was shot! I’m 55 and tried to sleep in the bunks and couldn’t get a good night sleep. For $199 a night, upgrade your mattresses please. All in all, very clean and great place to stay. The river is beautiful to look at from your porch.
