My husband and I stayed here for two nights on a ten-night road trip. We stayed in an executive suite. It was fine, but a little run-down. The bed was pretty hard, but I have bad hips, so perhaps more of a personal issue. The shower didn't drain properly and didn't have a lip so it leaked all over the floor. The shower curtain smelled like mildew. There was no hand soap and nowhere to hang towels in the bathroom. Other than that, the room was fine (if a little run-down) and big enough for us to hang out in the living room and have a separate space when I woke up earlier. The man in the activities center was very helpful and gave us some great recommendations for local restaurants and for seeing New River Gorge (the tip to try Secret Sandwich Society after leaving the National Park was excellent!). We had dinner one of the nights in the resort dining room and the food was just okay. The service was good, but I wouldn't dine there again because the food was very sub-par.

Jun 03, 2025 · Aurora Crew VerlinStayed at Glade Springs Resort 6/13-6/15/2025. First executive suite was Spruce 454. Couch was torn in multiple places, outlet covers were missing and my wife got stung 3 times by a massive Yellow Jackets nest under the stairwell landing. Moved to 413 Dogwood where the bathroom door would not close from uneven floor, the couch this time had stains all over it, and the refrigerator compressor burnt up and ruined our food. The shower had a stream equal to a hallway water fountain and the entrance door weather stripping was missing and could see daylight through door. The indoor pool floor was flaking off over entire pool and looked disgusting with paint chips floating in the water. Bunkers restaurant was out of several menu items and the food was over cooked and tasteless. Overall I’d recommend driving in for a day trip for golf and leaving. Amenities and rooms are dilapidated and there was zero effort by maintenance to fix any problems.
Jun 17, 2025 · Kevin GraysonThis poor place has seen better times. While it is situated in a beautiful mountain area. It is not well maintained and somebody cannot afford to manage it properly, I don't know why? The staff there do their best but there are too few of them, the rooms are not all that comfortable.,room cleaning is basic at best and I developed swollen ankles over the amount of salt in the food.
Jun 14, 2025 · Anne M Pincus, phdVery disappointing experience, poor customer service and outdated facilities. We booked 4 nights but had to cut our stay short due to an unexpected change in our flight back to Spain. When we informed the front desk, a young man told us there was nothing he could do since the reservation had been made through Booking. After contacting Booking ourselves, the representative was very understanding and agreed to issue a refund for the unused night—but only if the hotel approved it. We returned to the reception, only to be told that the manager was on vacation and could not be reached by phone. Despite promising to resolve the issue within 48 hours, they never got back to us, and the refund was never processed. This level of customer service is unacceptable. In addition to this frustrating experience, the resort itself is outdated. Our room was poorly maintained. There was barely any lighting in the room, and both the fridge and the air conditioning unit made an unbearable noise, to the point that we had to unplug them in order to sleep. the breakfast was very basic with limited options, and the overall food and beverage services were insufficient for a place that calls itself a "resort". We would not stay here again and cannot recommend it.
Jun 01, 2025 · NELWe stayed here with a ski group of about 30 youth. The resort is close to skiing (about 20 minutes). There are also many things to do on site. When we weren't skiing, we were at the leisure center. We received top notch customer service! Angie was so helpful in setting up our lodging arrangements and answering my many questions. Ken did an excellent job scheduling all our on site group activities to ensure we made the best use of time. We would definitely return as a family or with a group!
