Great spa experience! My husband and I got massages, I got a prenatal and he got a Swedish. We both had a great experience. For $50 you can stay as long as you’d like before/after your service and enjoy the facility. They have ice water and lemon ice cubes, hot tea/coffee, and trail mix that’s complimentary. The lounge has a beautiful Mountain View. They have a heated pool, 2 whirlpools, and saunas. I enjoyed the lounge and watched videos on my phone with my AirPods. It was so relaxing, we stayed almost 5 hours after our service. They have a bar/snack area near the pool where you can pay for drinks/snacks to enjoy while you are there. The locker rooms have lovely showers, shampoo/conditioner/body wash, hair appliances. Make sure to bring a hair brush. They have plenty of towels and the robes and spa shoes are comfortable. Definitely recommend if you are visiting blowing rock or Boone. It was a great experience and we would definitely go back.
Jun 07, 2025 · Christina MayesMy wife and I spent 3 days at Westglow. Everything was first class. The rooms were spectacular, the spa was inviting and relaxing. My wife said she had the best hair stylist ever. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Our dining experience would compete favorably with any 5 star restaurant. We will be back soon.
May 17, 2025 · Paul PetryOur stay was amazing! From our arrival, Jennifer made us feel welcomed, shared history of the estate and made sure we had everyone we needed. The spa was excellent and brand new. We stayed all day and relaxed with beautiful Mountain views. We enjoyed a beautiful sunset dinner and after dinner drinks in the lounge. We will definitely be back at Westglow.
May 12, 2025 · Amanda MaslakI have enjoyed the services and experiences at Westglow on several occasions however this visit was less than impressive. The facial I received was wonderful and I highly recommend Hali Carter- she is amazing. However the spa itself was under renovation- which I am excited about but we were NOT instructed before our visit that the renovations were taking place. Several issues occurred when we arrived: first signage was inadequate as to how to enter the construction area. I (along with other people) were wandering in the construction area due to inadequate signs as well as no arrows directing us to the temporary check in area. Also the handicap entrance was not visible I spoke with the staff on the telephone 3 times before arriving for our appointments and not once was I told renovations were being made and some services would not be available. There was also zero information on the Westglow website as to the renovations occurring. The steam room was out of order and several trip hazards were visible around the pool. The thermostat was not working in the relaxation room and the doors were merely kept open by sacks of salt melt and chairs!! I would have certainly rescheduled our appointments had I know of the mess I was walking into at arrival! But was not alerted to any of it! My friend and I were there to celebrate milestones achieved and quite frankly I was very embarrassed at the low quality and unapologetic staff at check in and check out.
May 13, 2025 · Kim AustinMy wife and I spent four days at Westglow and had a memorable experience overall. The standout of our stay was Jennifer, who went above and beyond in helping plan our trip. She was incredibly attentive, professional, and genuinely cared about our experience — a true gem. We stayed in Room #3 at the Manor, which was charming and well-stocked (even had a clothing steamer!). The bathroom was beautiful, featuring a smart mirror and upscale toiletries. However, the shower was difficult to operate, with unclear temperature controls and inconsistent water pressure — especially when the restaurant was busy. Breakfast was a highlight — Chef Warren made an incredible bacon cheddar omelette and was such a kind presence. We didn’t dine formally but enjoyed a bar-side smash burger that was absolutely amazing. The charcuterie board, on the other hand, was just okay. Staff across the board were kind and professional — Andrew and Ben at the bar made great cocktails and were super personable, and housekeeping kept our room spotless. The spa amenities were nice, but the facility is showing signs of wear (visible patchwork, peeling paint, and an aging bridge that felt questionable in terms of safety). The grounds are gorgeous, but we were disappointed to find the walking trail overgrown and inaccessible. One final note: this is a very upscale environment. We weren’t prepared for just how high-end the setting and clientele would be, and at times felt out of place due to the formality and some cold glances from other guests. All in all, we’re thankful for the opportunity to stay at Westglow and meet such incredible staff. While we’re unsure if we’d return due to the pricing and social atmosphere, we genuinely appreciated the care we received and would come back simply to see the wonderful team again.
