Cons: I called this hotel 10 mins after I made the reservation last night and asked if they had truck parking. An African American lady told me they were full. We got to the hotel and there was barely anyone there and plenty of truck parking. I am not sure what that was about deterring customers away from the hotel; sounds like she did not want to do her job. Pros: I was checked in by Sheena. She was Amazing. Great attitude, professional, and funny. Great customer service. It was refreshing to feel welcomed. The African American woman-front desk staff should take a page out of her book; she definitely leads by example. Cons-No fault of the hotel: The air conditioner stopped working; had an error code A5. I spoke to the African American woman at the front desk again. She offered to move us to another room. It was late and we were already in bed, so we declined. She advised to unplug it and I did and it began working; had to do several times; however when liquid/fluids came out I left it alone. I advised the hotel a Caucasian gentlemen on the night staff and a Caucasian woman on the Morning shift as we did not want to get charged for anything to do HVAC issues. The night shift Caucasian gentlemen said I would not be charged as I asked him to come and check the room prior to check out. Although this is a Con. It is not on the hotel as some things are out of our control. Pros: Outside of the air conditioning issue, the room was great. Breakfast was good; more meat choices would have been great, but I was satisfied. I definitely recommend this hotel and my company will be staying again when in the area. The lock on our room did not work most of the time, The TV remote would not work and the TV went on during the night by it self several times, The AC unit was not connected and at 1 am had to get help. The shower has no pressure, you got to stand under the head to get wet, pool is closed and the gym.AVOID THIS PLACE
Apr 26, 2025 · leatagePool closed with no indication upon booking that they’re doing remodels. No wifi. Toothpaste splatter still on the bathroom counter and tissue box next to the sink. Checked under the sheets for bugs as I always do, thankfully no bugs but some sort of droplet stains on the mattress cover which came off with water so it wasn’t a stain but did prove it hadn’t been washed. 0% satisfied
May 17, 2025 · NicoleStayed here a few times over the last few years for work. Isn't the greatest, shower pressure needs a LOT of work. Never had an issue with the rooms other than that. The breakfast simply isn't good. I don't know how you can't get quality eggs/bacon/sausage than whatever that crap is down there. Also some younger dude that works here is hovering around the breakfast area and breathing down my neck. You can tell the guy is a clean freak and maybe a little too much...
Apr 10, 2025 · JYou should rethink your new policy of not allowing guests based on the location of their residence in relation to the hotel. I had a successful reservation in hopes to have a fun, close, family getaway for something different. I booked here for the pool. I received a call same day of check in, which I thought was going to be about the room type, but nope... to my surprise, it was me being told we weren't allow to stay there since we were within 30 of the hotel. Are you kidding me? So now, instead of guaranteed business and what may have very likely been a good review and referrals of a great stay, you now have ensured I will avoid all Wingates/any hotel under your management, no matter what location. If you keep this policy in place, it should not even allow the reservation. You know, so people don't get their children excited, showing them pictures of the pool/room that they end up not being allowed to use/stay in. Happily going somewhere else now who will appreciate our business. Thanks!!
