The absolute worst hotel we’ve ever stayed in. Needed a place to stay last minute due to the bad weather. Carpets absolutely filthy, heater on wall didn’t work (it was 19F out) and there was only a small bar heater. Room was so cold at night we slept in our jackets. No working remote for the TV. Queen bed was one of those beds that flip back up into the wall with a raised place for your head so couldn’t lie flat. Comforter was so old. Pull out bed had a sheet, that was it-no comforter. Chips off the wood in room. Curtains falling down. People upstairs walking around until 2am. Door into bathroom opened in on top of the toilet. Nobody on reception when we walked in at 7pm, our key was just left in an envelope on the desk. No staff anywhere. We couldn’t even drive our SUV up their hotel entrance way as it was covered in snow that wasn’t cleared for guests…a car in front of us was stuck on it. So we had to park elsewhere and walk half a mile to hotel in the freezing cold and snow. We went to the hotel restaurant and it was absolutely freezing with rubbish thrown in the fire and a table sitting with their jackets on. We walked straight around. Left at sunrise the next morning. At $220 a night I’d recommend going elsewhere.

Jan 04, 2025 · Cora GlennonI really don't like giving bad reviews but I have to. This place is advertised as the four seasons but it is definitely not affiliated in any way with that organization. I was ignored by the person behind the front desk and I turned around and walked out after driving up a dirt road to a dilapidated old building that's called The 4 seasons not the four seasons. Google really let me down on showing me this please we did not stay there so I cannot tell you how the amenities or the rooms were but from the visual outside and the lobby area it was definitely a no-go. I thought it was a joke that we had to drive up this dirt incline to actually get to the building and then had to drive down a cliff to get out of the place period and if you're not looking good you're going to drive right past it.
Jun 14, 2024 · ron marlerIt's really outdated and in need of upkeep. I stayed there last weekend... in July. The stairs were chipped, uneven and unsafe. The wifi was essentially non-functional. The beds (a murphy bed and pullout couch) were horribly uncomfortable. And there was no a/c. We found a fan when we saw that the pullout bed had to be made up. Just a big disappointment.
Jul 23, 2024 · Trish KeenanScheduled for a week but left after first night and got our money back. It's old, didn't feel secure at night, had a water leak sound in the wall behind our bed which kept us up most of the night, parking lot noise right outside the window, drunks from attached restaurant were vomiting, beds were hard, spiral staircase too small to carry luggage upstairs, etc. I could go on but just know I would never recommend this place.
Aug 13, 2024 · Barbara PetersonNice resort, exceptionally clean with very friendly staff. Outdated and in need of a remodel. Great location to hit a lot of area trails and Blowing Rock is quite nice in July. Must mention there is no A/C here but ceiling fans and box fans are provided. Staff is very accommodating.
