Place is way overpriced for the dump that it is. Rented a cabin, had a bad smell in it the whole time, like a mold or moisture smell. Carpet ripped up in spots? TV is far too small. Virtually no hot water ever flows? Only warm water comes out as a dribble? Not enough to shower with!!! Lots of cold water, though!!! So you will have to only take baths after taking half hour to fill the tub. Windows don't lock properly. Room service only ever three days??? And you'll run out of soap, towels, and toilet paper every day. But when you go ask the owner lady for supplies and towels, it's like pulling teeth! She gives you nothing but negative unprofessional attitude. These people have no clue how to run a successful motel. None whatsoever! Do not stay here. Find something far better for the same money elsewhere.
For those navigating the 'Hotels Near Of Me' category with a strict emphasis on the absolute lowest price point for lodging, the Americas Best Value Inn North Kingstown might appear as an option. Located at 6481 Post Rd, North Kingstown, RI 02852, USA, this establishment operates with a phone number of (401) 884-9300 and a mobile phone number of +1 401-884-9300. It is important to approach this property with realistic expectations, as it falls into the budget motel category.
The environment of the Americas Best Value Inn North Kingstown, as described by guest reviews, often reflects its budget-tier positioning. The property consists of 20 guest rooms, with a single-story design, and some reviews mention exterior corridors. While it aims to provide basic accommodations, the overall ambiance and maintenance appear to be inconsistent. Guests have frequently reported issues with pervasive "musty" or "mold" like smells in rooms, including in rented cabins, and in the carpet. There are also mentions of ripped carpets in spots. The exterior and common areas, though basic, generally offer free self-parking for convenience. However, a significant concern highlighted is the lack of proper maintenance, leading to an environment that some guests found disappointing. The hotel is noted to have been last renovated in 2004, which may contribute to some of the issues raised in more recent feedback.
The staff at Americas Best Value Inn North Kingstown receives mixed feedback. While some guests have noted the staff to be present, particularly at the 24-hour front desk, and capable of check-ins, other reviews detail highly negative interactions. Specifically, one review describes the "owner lady" as having a "negative unprofessional attitude" when approached for basic supplies like soap, towels, and toilet paper. This suggests a significant inconsistency in customer service and a lack of guest-centric approach in some instances. The effectiveness of staff in resolving issues, such as plumbing problems, has also been questioned, with guests reporting continued issues despite staff intervention.
The rooms at Americas Best Value Inn North Kingstown offer fundamental amenities designed for a no-frills stay. Each of the 20 guest rooms includes a cable TV with HBO, a microwave, and a mini-fridge, which are convenient for storing snacks or reheating meals. Heating and air conditioning are also provided, and rooms have private bathrooms with shower/tub combinations and free toiletries. Free in-room Wi-Fi is available. However, the condition of these rooms is a significant point of concern in guest feedback. Beyond the unpleasant odors, complaints include "yellowed sheets," "stained" and "burn marked" carpets, "visible hairs scattered over the basin," and only one roll of toilet paper provided. Functional issues are also prominent, such as windows that "don't lock properly" and a severe lack of hot water, described as a "dribble" of "only warm water," making showering extremely difficult. Some guests also reported that the one chair provided was broken and could not be adjusted. Housekeeping service is infrequent, with one review stating it occurs "only every three days," leading to guests running out of essential supplies daily.
In terms of services and features, Americas Best Value Inn North Kingstown offers very limited amenities. The primary conveniences are free self-parking and complimentary Wi-Fi. The motel provides exterior corridor access for its rooms. While some Americas Best Value Inn properties might offer a free continental breakfast, there is no consistent information or positive guest feedback to confirm this for the North Kingstown location; in fact, the lack of basic amenities like sufficient toiletries suggests it is unlikely. The hotel does not appear to offer a swimming pool, fitness center, or extensive business facilities like meeting rooms. It caters more to an overnight, very budget-conscious traveler rather than those seeking an extended stay or numerous on-site amenities. Pet policies for this specific location are not explicitly clear from the provided reviews, but generally, America's Best Value Inn properties can be pet-friendly with associated fees.
The location of Americas Best Value Inn North Kingstown along Post Road offers straightforward access for drivers. It is situated in North Kingstown, a town with various local attractions such as Biomes Marine Biology Center, and it provides relatively quiet surroundings as noted by one guest. While not directly adjacent to major city centers, its position on a main road means it is accessible by car to destinations like Newport, Providence, and local beaches within a reasonable driving distance. The hotel is also located approximately 18.8 km from Rhode Island T.F. Green International Airport (PVD), making it a roughly 19-minute drive.
From a promotional perspective, given the highly critical and consistent guest feedback regarding cleanliness, maintenance, and basic functionality, Americas Best Value Inn North Kingstown faces significant challenges. Its primary selling point would be its very low price point, which might appeal to travelers for whom cost is the absolute top priority and who require only a place to sleep for "one night." However, the severe issues reported with hot water, cleanliness, and staff professionalism, make it difficult to recommend for anything beyond the most transient and undemanding of stays. For any promotional efforts to be genuinely effective and build trust, the hotel would need to address and demonstrably improve its core issues of cleanliness, maintenance, and guest service, as the current feedback suggests that guests often find it "overpriced for the dump that it is" and would "not recommend this hotel." Without significant improvements, its appeal within the 'Hotels Near Of Me' category remains limited to travelers at the very bottom of the budget spectrum, who are prepared for a highly basic and potentially problematic experience.

Aug 17, 2023 · M MWe stayed in a single cabin. Everything was musty when we checked in, couldn't get rid of the smell. The bed was clean and comfortable, but the sink did not drain and there were visible hairs scattered over the basin. Only one roll of toilet paper in the bathroom. I don't think it was worth the cost. It is in a relatively quiet area though, so there's that.
Aug 12, 2023 · Maral WozniakFor a budget accommodation along a quiet stretch of Route 1, this place hit all the right marks. Check-in was courteous and warm, the lobby area was spotlessly clean, as was our room. I was surprised by the bold colors and high quality AC in the room. One thing to be aware of is that water pressure in the shower will fluctuate a lot depending on time of day, if others are showering you may experience much lower pressure. But in every other respect the bathroom was modern and well-designed. Recommended for a budget option.
Jul 17, 2019 · Frederick WrightSimple rooms, comfy clean bed, stopped by for a night on way to marthas vineyard. loved the little cottage vibe. Perfect for the ferry. I would use again.
Nov 01, 2023 · Rupal PatelPros: Convenient, relatively affordable, friendly ownership, includes refrigerator. Cons: Bed was firm for my taste, no ironing board and iron. Bedside light wasn't working. No breakfast or coffee. Decent place to crash and save a little money.
