Staff seemed friendly enough, but the room smelled really bad. The first day that I arrived, I couldn't stay long, so I checked in and dropped off my luggage then ran my errands I needed for my visit. The room smelled really good and clean when I checked in, but when I got back later that evening, and it took a bit for the odor to show up, my guess is for the chemicals from the cleaning to wear out, but it really smelled like not gonna lie, bad sweat socks and a bit of musty something or other...not sure what it was, but I was too tired to deal with it, I just opened up my body spray and spritzed the air a bit and went to bed, and I was to be out all day the next day, so it really wasn't going to matter, and with traveling, you are so exhausted, trying to deal with this minor inconvenience wasn't a top priority, if it had been very overwhelming sure, but this was just enough to be annoying and with a little spritz of spray every couple hours, it was enough to sleep through it. However, the last day before checking out, I walked closer towards the AC unit and I think the smell might have been coming from inside the unit. Not 100% sure, so maybe someone can verify that. But I was in room 101. However, the bed was amazingly comfortable, the bedding smelled fine, so it certainly wasn't the bed and the bathroom didn't stink, it was mostly in the main area closer to the AC. Which just of course as the AC ran filled the whole room. I didn't have time to check out the other amenities on this trip, so I don't know how the exercise room was, the pool, or the breakfast for that matter. So, I'd give the bed (10/10) and cleanliness of the general over all room a 9/10, would be 10/10 if the smell wasn't there. As for the age of the building, it is clear it needs some serious updating, as things like bath tub faucet, shower head, bathroom sink handle, and things of that nature were very rough looking. 10/10 for the desk clerk when I checked in, super friendly and attentive, and the same for check out, but I didn't need to deal with them as long so, it was on a brief interaction. If I'm back in the area, I'd give this location another try and see if I just happened to get a bad room. So it's really not that bad, if the rest of the rooms don't have that odor. If there is in deed mold or anything like that, it does need to be addressed and I mean eliminated, because for some people that is a health issue. I myself, am highly allergic to mold, luckily this stay it didn't seem to be bad, if that was what was in the unit, because I didn't experience a break out from it. However, if I am back and discover it, it will be addressed for sure. You really don't want to be making your guests sick. Mold isn't something to mess around with.

Jul 25, 2025 · Angel HaberNot perfect by any means but definitely a great value for the money. I've spent more for a lot less in this area. The hot breakfast is not great, the rooms could use some touch up, and the pool area could be a lot cleaner but overall the value is well worth it. The service was very good, the room was better than average and although the breakfast was not much it was better than nothing. I would stay here again if I am in the area.

Jul 23, 2025 · kurt markhamI had an incredible stay at the Baymont in Janesville. The hotel was located in a quiet part of town, and even though it was near the express way- the hotel room was extremely quiet. The staff was very accommodating- they were very gracious, helpful with the Janesville area and went above and beyond to make sure my stay was fantastic. The hotel room was very clean, very quiet and very comfortable. The morning breakfast was fantastic- plenty of great choices to start the morning. The gym and pool were great as well. Overall- I had an amazing stay here in Janesville and appreciate the staff's kindness while I was in town. Will definitely stay here again! #socialmediapromo #socialmediainfluencer #BaymontJanesville #baymontinn #Janesville #Wisconsin
Apr 21, 2025 · Andy BeningoSuper nice staff at this location. Our family live right around the corner so convenient for us but not if you were looking to stay close to downtown Janesville. The bathtub floors are VERY SLIPPERY. BE CAREFUL. One of our family had a bad fall.
