Not up to Best Western standards. It was adequate at best. Bed was comfortable and breakfast good. But we were given a room with an awful bathroom. Shower didn't work and toilet was disgusting. Maintenance was called and he even said that the bathroom needed to be replaced. We were moved to another room which was ok but lacked furniture. We stayed 3 days but each day we had to get our keys renewed. This hotel definitely needs money spent on it. I'm a BW platinum member but I won't stay here again.

When considering a hotel through a "Hotels Near Of Me" search, location is often a key factor. The Best Western Fort Washington Inn's address in Fort Washington, PA, places it within a business-friendly area, potentially convenient for travelers with engagements in the vicinity. Being a Best Western brand hotel, it aims to offer a certain level of consistency and amenities that travelers might expect from a well-known chain.
Let's delve into what an objective introduction of this hotel entails, drawing upon available information, including customer feedback. It's important to provide a balanced perspective for potential guests using "Hotels Near Of Me" platforms.
Environment:
The hotel is situated on Commerce Drive, suggesting a setting that might be more commercial or business-oriented rather than a scenic resort. The overall environment, as suggested by some reviews, indicates a property that may be older and could benefit from updates. While the exterior might reflect a typical suburban hotel structure, the interior condition, particularly in some guest rooms and common areas, appears to be a point of concern for some visitors. Specific feedback mentions issues with bathrooms, baseboards, light fixtures, and the general state of maintenance, which collectively contribute to the perceived environment of the hotel. An objective view would be that while it offers a convenient location, the aesthetic and functional aspects of the environment within the hotel might not always align with contemporary standards or the expectations set by some other hotels in the Best Western portfolio.
Services:
As a Best Western, the Fort Washington Inn would typically offer a range of standard services. These generally include a front desk for check-in/check-out, information, and assistance; housekeeping services; and possibly a complimentary breakfast, as indicated by a positive remark about the breakfast quality in one review. However, the efficacy and consistency of these services have been highlighted in customer feedback. For instance, while front desk staff have been praised for being "kind, helpful, and courteous," there have been notable issues with maintenance response times and housekeeping adhering to 'Do Not Disturb' signs. Furthermore, issues like non-functional in-room amenities (coffee maker, leaking refrigerator) suggest that maintenance and service quality may not always meet guest expectations. Key card renewal issues also point to operational inconsistencies. It's crucial for users searching "Hotels Near Of Me" to understand that while the hotel aims to provide standard services, the execution of these services may vary.
Features:
Based on typical Best Western offerings and the reviews, the Best Western Fort Washington Inn likely features:
The hotel's features, while present, have been subject to critical feedback regarding their condition and reliability. This includes concerns about the structural integrity and functionality of in-room fixtures and even core building features like the elevator. Therefore, while the hotel offers a basic set of features common to its brand and price point, the quality and maintenance of these features are a critical point for potential guests to consider when evaluating "Hotels Near Of Me" options.
Promotional Information:
While specific promotional offers are not detailed in the provided information, Best Western hotels often participate in loyalty programs, such as Best Western Rewards (as indicated by a "BW platinum member" in a review). Guests booking through the Best Western website or direct contact might be eligible for member rates, special packages, or seasonal discounts. For those using "Hotels Near Of Me" platforms, it would be advisable to check the official Best Western website or contact the hotel directly at (215) 542-7930 or +1 215-542-7930 to inquire about any current promotions, discounts, or loyalty program benefits that could enhance their stay or offer better value. As with any hotel, direct booking may sometimes offer advantages or flexibility not available through third-party platforms. It is also worth noting that while promotional information aims to highlight the positive aspects, an objective introduction must also acknowledge areas for improvement, as evidenced by customer feedback, to provide a complete picture for the consumer.
In summary, the Best Western Fort Washington Inn serves as an option for individuals seeking accommodation in Fort Washington, PA, fitting into the "Hotels Near Of Me" category. It offers a convenient location and aims to provide standard hotel amenities and services. However, prospective guests should be aware that recent customer feedback indicates that the hotel may be in need of significant updates and that the quality of maintenance and consistency of service can be variable. While the front desk staff are often commended, issues with room condition, facility maintenance, and service delivery have been highlighted. Therefore, when considering this hotel, it is recommended to weigh the convenience of its location against the reported conditions and service levels to make an informed decision.

Apr 21, 2025 · Christopher GascoyneThe only upside i had was the front desk staff. Kind, helpful, and courteous. However, my room was not so nice. Light fixtures haphazardly installed, parts of the baseboards caved in - leading into the studs of the wall. Coffee maker did not work, and the refrigerator started leaking large amounts of water. After reporting it, we were told it'd be serviced within an hour. 2 hours passed and we had to go somewhere. Requested no service until we were back. Came back after midnight and noone came so we got ready for bed. Late night pounding at the door and attempted entry even after we yelled that we weren't decent. Housekeeping ignored DND sign and kept knocking as well. Elevator felt extremely rickety and unsafe Smoke detectors in building in need of new batteries also Overall, an uneasy stay and unhappy with experience overall. I do not recommend staying here.
May 21, 2025 · Quinlan PettitWe stayed 4/26/25 Room itself: Apparently there is a leak behind the wall next to the shower. Water all over the floor. Drywall paper is beginning to peel so it has been going on for a while. Location is a pain getting to. It seems lost among the highways with no easy on/off. Service gets one star because of the handling of a youth basketball team's disturbance between eleven PM and two AM. Long story short, group of teens being loud and disruptive (partly directly across the hall. I called the desk around eleven PM. Someone came and yelled at them. My wife called the desk again at one AM about the same incident. This time we could clearly hear an authoritative voice dealing with them. S/he threatened to call the police but the kids dared her to. Then she said guests were threatening to call the police. There was a minor direct confrontation between one youth and (I presume) a manager. A second youth interceded and it was over. Where were the adults supervising these teens? Why were they not called? After this much time I feel the police should have been called and the group asked to leave. The damage was done though. My wife voiced concern about the staff/guest altercation possibly becoming worse. In the breakfast area, it was clear that the teens were in charge of their group and no adult. At the desk when we checked out, the young woman had a sheepish face that told me she knew us and other guests were not happy about that night's events. I have done a lot of traveling and this location ranks at the very bottom of my list. It was not all BW fault, but more needed to be done.
Apr 27, 2025 · James MichaelsStarted off GREAT. I've been having back issues and I just wanted to find a hotel with a hot tub/jacuzzi. So I /we reserved a Jacuzzi suite. Arrived after 8pm. The staff/manager at the front desk was very helpful. She let us know that there were staffing issues and that any possible maintenance issues would have to be reported in the morning. She also mentioned that she no longer offered jacuzzi suites and that she wasn't sure how I was able to reserve one. As a paying customer this was slightly confusing because I have NOTHING to do with the information that is online. If I see something available I was under the assumption that it's "available". After a few hours in room, I used the bathroom. Upon flushing the toilet BLACK WATER (water from the toilet is considered as such. This is common knowledge!) ran at a VERY RAPID PACE from beneath the toilet. Not the pipes, or the bowl itself, but from underneath the toilet (where it was installed). Just as a reminder... I was told by the "MANAGER" that ANY maintenance issues would have to wait until the morning. After the incident with the toilet. I went right to sleep. Had an EXTREMELY difficult day and just needed some rest. I didn't feel comfortable showering, using the toilet, or getting into the hot tub/jacuzzi, so I didn't. Another reminder... The entire purpose of the visit was the jacuzzi suite they have ONLINE. The next morning as you can imagine, I decided to check out early. The individual who I encountered at the front desk initially apologized. She said she would refund my 2nd night. Which I TRULY APPRECIATE. But when I informed her if the BLACK SEWAGE WATER, she shrugged her shoulders. When I even POLITELY MENTIONED getting back possible compensation for my 1st night, she shrugged her shoulders again and said I should have called maintenance. When I mentioned that the "manager" that I encountered the night before said ALL MAINTENANCE ISSUES WOULD HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL THE MORNING, she shrugged her shoulders again. I even gave her the name of the "Manager" I spoke to the previous night and explained what the "Manager" said about maintenance issues. Just curious, how I'm supposed to report an issue to NO ONE... I went to far as to give the managers name, another employees name, and the excuse as was given as to why there was NO MAINTENANCE STAFF (someone was sick, someone else left early). I asked the staff how I could possibly know all of this information if it wasn't genuine. All I got was ANOTHER SHOULDER SHRUG. I asked would I have better results calling Best Western Corporate and I got ANOTHER SHOULDER SHRUG... Smh... Had no care/empathy for a PAYING CUSTOMER. If you value cleanliness, transparency, and GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE please avoid this hotel/facility at ALL COST!!!
Mar 30, 2025 · Mike LucasIm a diamond member. Decent hotel. But way to many complications with simple stuff offered to members. Management has to many picky things they shouldn't treat members with. Also had to call in about my deposit because they charged me like a charge instead of regular hold and want to charge all these add on fees for little stuff about hotel. People don't have time for nonsense and making things hard when they come to best western. It should be easy and smooth for Members coming in and after I leave. I shouldn't have to call about my deposit.
