I've been there many times over the years. It has come a long way inside and out. It's nice to be able to stop there when they are open.

The atmosphere is one of rustic charm and a genuine connection to nature, offering a welcome change of pace from the daily grind. While some aspects of the campground may present challenges, as is often the case with outdoor destinations, the core experience remains focused on providing a place to unwind and reconnect with the beautiful Wisconsin wilderness. The Boulder Lake Lodge Campground is located at 17250 Boulder Ln, White Lake, WI 54491, USA. This address places it in the heart of the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest, a region renowned for its pristine lakes and lush forests. For Wisconsin residents, this location offers a sense of being far away from the city while still being within a reasonable driving distance. The accessibility, however, does come with some considerations, particularly for those with larger vehicles. As one customer review mentioned, it can be "hard to drive in with larger campers." The roads, while providing access, may have some potholes or uneven spots, which is a common characteristic of more secluded, natural settings. It is recommended to plan your route carefully and be prepared for a more rustic drive. The location on the shores of Boulder Lake is a significant highlight, providing direct access to the water for swimming, boating, and other recreational activities. Despite the challenges with the roads, the destination itself is well worth the journey for those who appreciate the natural beauty and quietude of northern Wisconsin. The campground’s setting is picturesque, with beautiful views and a sense of peaceful seclusion that is hard to find in more urbanized areas. Its remote location is a major draw for those who truly want to disconnect and enjoy a different pace of life for a while, making it a perfect spot for an authentic Wisconsin camping experience.

While it is a more rustic setting than a traditional hotel, the campground provides key amenities that add comfort and convenience. The property features a lodge, and as one customer noted, it's a "nice to be able to stop there when they are open." This suggests that the lodge can serve as a central point for guests, potentially offering food, beverages, or a place to socialize. For campers, the facilities are a crucial service. A customer review mentioned that the showers were a highlight, specifically noting that "Hot water was only in the showers up on top of the hill." This is a helpful detail for guests to be aware of when choosing their campsite. The campground also offers sites with electric hookups, which is a great service for RV campers and those who need power for their stay. An RV dump station is also available for guests, simplifying the logistics of camping with a larger vehicle. In addition, the beach is a key feature, providing a place for swimming and relaxation, although it can get crowded on weekends. For those who enjoy fishing, the lake offers opportunities, with walleye, northern pike, bass, and panfish present, even if one review suggested that the fishing can be "horrible." It’s worth noting that the fishing experience can vary widely depending on the time of year and individual skill, but the availability of a boat landing and fishing opportunities is still a valuable service. For those who enjoy whitewater rafting, the nearby Wolf River offers opportunities, making the campground a great base camp for this adventurous activity.

Feb 22, 2025 · Jim BerglinFishing is horrible. Spots for campers are not great. Was hard to drive in with larger campers. It can definitely use gravel around the road to fill in big holes before the black top starts braking off. Hot water was only in the showers up on top of the hill. It's hard to do reservations and don't even try to come if you don't have a reservation. Beach was ok, but a lot of people on the weekends.
Jul 31, 2023 · And POwner is quite rude, wouldn't allow me on property because I left a bad review on yelp. I rented a site and it was not cleaned, there was logs underneath the leaves that could have popped my tires. Apparently he was doing us a favor yet all the other sites were clean. Gave him one more chance, asked about availability for the 4th last year and Apparently it was booked solid. When I came to visit my family and a couple friends who have permanent sites, the campground area was open. Many people are leaving due to rent getting jacked up every year and the owner is on them about stupid things. Makes up random things that are not in the lease. This is my second review, I will update if the owner kicks me out just for voicing my opinion!
Jun 12, 2023 · Derek NicklasParents and inlaws both camp here with seasonals. First year. Looking forward to the upgrades they are planning like a beach and beach bar area. Cute small playground, big sites, owners are friendly and helpful. Right on atv route and 20 min from town. Great area, quiet. Wifi only at restaurant but gives kids some screen-free time!
Jul 04, 2023 · Shelly JMy bestie just bought a camper here and we went during the middle of the week to clean up the camper and site. Once we were done with that, we got the lake in the kayaks and man what a beautiful lake! Way bigger than it looks, it took almost two hours to go halfway around and back. If you're a water enthusiast, this is the place for you!
