May 23, 2023 · Cynthia RochaDidn't take a picture but should have, I normally do for my reviews. I was delivering in the area and decided to take my break here. Ordered the days special, bacon cheeseburger and fries. Meal was delicious, bartender was courteous and attentive. The locals/campers were friendly and I enjoyed my break time. Thank you to the staff and patrons for making my experience a pleasant one!
May 28, 2021 · Jason CousineauThis is a 1/2 self serve bar and they can't get their half correct. We placed a food order and waited. After a while we checked and our ticket was on the bar. It never made it back to the kitchen. I understand self serve bars. This was lousy service in the most pathetic manner. I mean, all it takes is walking the ticket back, just like all the other tickets. Looking around at finished plates, most had a lot of food left. Thank goodness we didn't get nor pay for the food.
Aug 20, 2022 · Jay NorthIncompetent, inhospitable bartenders who, despite it being a vacation destination, clearly only want to serve locals. I ordered a whiskey sour with Seagram's 7. I got a rail whiskey and 7up with a lemon, and only after I explained the drink to the girl behind the bar, who didn't know it and apparently doesn't know how to ask questions or listen. The details of the entire exchange were comical and unbelieveable and ended with the manager telling me--not his bartender--that there's sour mix on the gun. For the 2nd round I decided beer was safer, and the male bartender was worth a try. Wrong on both counts. I'll forego details and summarize: as an outsider--and the only non-local in the bar--looking for a simple mixed drink and a beer, they sure made it clear they valued neither my satisfaction, nor my patronage, which is par for the course for the entire Captain's Cove operation. How a vacation spot can treat new faces so rudely and clumsily and yet still stay in business is beyond me. Fine. The 50-cent-draw regulars can have this sorry dive for themselves.
