While visiting western NC we were fortunate enough to spend a couple of very relaxing days at Cobb Creek cabins. We stayed in the chicken coop cabin, which was perfect for us and our dog. The cabin was in top order and the owners thought of everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. I loved that the front porch was just feet from cobb creek where you could sit and listen to the soothing sounds of the water running over the rocks while watching the donkeys grazing and the wild deer walking in the pasture. Our dog also thoroughly enjoyed exploring the property and making a few new friends. A special thanks to the owners Colin and Jenn for going above and beyond by graciously helping us with getting our flat tire repaired! We are so grateful for your kindness and for your love for animals.

The environment at Cobb Creek Cabins is truly one of its most remarkable features. The landscape is "perfectly manicured" and boasts a "serene babbling brook" – Cobb Creek – which flows directly in front of many of the cabins, offering the soothing sounds of water running over rocks. This creek is known for its excellent trout fishing. Beyond the creek, the property includes open pasture lands where guests can observe and interact with farm animals, including "awesome little donkeys," miniature goats, alpacas, chickens, and turkeys. The opportunity to see "wild deer walking in the pasture" and a "full night sky filled with stars" further enhances the natural, rustic appeal. The cabins are surrounded by "a million acres of National Forest," ensuring a deep immersion in nature and abundant opportunities for wildlife viewing. In spring and early summer, guests might even pick fresh fruit from the many fruit trees on the property, including apple, pear, and cherry, or gather fresh eggs from the "Cobb Creek Cluckers." This unique blend of historic charm, active farm life, and pristine natural beauty creates an exceptionally tranquil and engaging environment.

The services and features at Cobb Creek Cabins are designed to provide a comfortable, convenient, and memorable stay. The cabins, including popular options like "The Coop" and "The Smokehouse" (an original 1861 smokehouse converted into a romantic cabin), are described as being "in top order" and "so clean and cozy." The owners, Colin and Jenn, are highly praised for having "thought of everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay" and for providing exceptional care. Each cabin is "individually decorated and furnished," offering a unique character. The historic nature of the property, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, adds a layer of depth and charm, with the original Cobb family home (built in 1861) still standing and serving as the residence of the hosts. The "authentic log cabins," with some dating back to 1861, offer a genuine rustic experience combined with modern conveniences. The emphasis on nature is evident with four of the six cabins sitting "directly Creekside," providing soothing sounds and easy access for fishing. Guests can also enjoy a "lovely little stocked pond" on the property. The outdoor living spaces are well-appointed, featuring covered porches with swings and rockers, picnic tables, and fire pits next to the creek, perfect for grilling burgers and hot dogs and enjoying the "full night sky filled with stars." The owners, Colin and Jenn, are frequently mentioned in reviews for their exceptional hospitality, kindness, and willingness to go "above and beyond" for their guests, even assisting with practical issues like flat tire repairs. The first thing I felt when I came through the gate was Peace. I have so longed for a quiet place to have a little talk with Jesus. To spend time out in nature with Holy Spirit and just experience the beauty of His Creations. I got to pet two awesome little donkeys, feed the goats, we saw lightning bugs and about 17 deer , all total. We grilled burgers and hot dogs on the grill outside next to a serene babbling brook that runs right in front of the porch. Also i saw a full night sky filled with stars!!! So awesome, Haven't done that in years. I had two very dear friends with me and we had a blast. Cabin was so clean and cozy. They left fresh country eggs for us. It was an amazing peaceful place we intend to go back . Colin and Jenn answered all our questions. We felt well cared for. I'm greatful for the blessings I received just being still. Psalm 46:10
