I went to this particular hotel because of location between home and beaches. I called TWICE to confirm the indoor pool , well I FAILED to ask if the indoor pool was heated. I didn’t realize this was a needed question. In all my travels , in country and out , I have never been to an indoor pool that was ice cold. When I asked about it , the young lady made some calls and then said “What are you calling cold , I put my hand in and it wasn’t too bad “ I’m proud of myself for not laughing out loud about this silliness. I even explained to her that the temp on her hand and the body in the pool was a huge difference. I specifically stopped here to use this pool. I had stopped at a local Walmart and I even checked 3 hotels closer to that location for an indoor pool but there wasn’t one. The desk clerk said they would get the pool heated and call us in 30 minutes-still haven’t received that call and it’s been 13 hours. Also , no military discount-no excuse for this in the year 2025. All military should receive a discount. When Mom and Pop businesses can afford a military discount then big businesses should trip over themselves to offer our military /veterans a discount. Not feeling entitled, just a proud American standing up for myself and fellow military/veterans. Walking into the hotel , it smelled wonderful-getting out of the elevator onto the second floor -well that was a nasal shock. Change this people. I found the room nice , the bed comfortable and clean. The bathroom was not clean. We had to clean it. It wasn’t filthy but not up to hotel standards . Do better!!! Fridge in the room is good. As a business owner myself , I feel it’s time here in America that our customers/clients get better treatment. Customer service needs to be what it was 40 years ago. I do not believe that customer is always right but I do believe in communicating to reach a happy ending for everyone. I did not ask for a refund or a credit because of the misleading info about the pool. I do however believe in being honest about the pool situation-families traveling with children are not going to be satisfied with a cold pool. Breakfast was a fair selection ! Final thought -I would NOT choose this hotel again. Too many options to choose -not even second rate. Next time , when checking in a hotel , I will ask to see the room / pool first !! Price is way too high for substandard hotel quality!!

However, as noted in guest feedback, it is paramount to call ahead and confirm the heating status of the pool if this is a deciding factor for your family’s enjoyment.

Apr 29, 2025 · Missy OwensBooked the hotel room before reading reviews on this place. I know...my own fault blah blah. Reading the reviews on the road before we arrived I was expecting the place to be crawling with roaches and bedbugs. However, I do keep my trusty headlamp with me so we were prepared. Check in was very quick and the front desk girl was very nice. Also we saw that the cleanliness rating sign behind her said 94% so maybe it wouldn't be so bad. We stayed in room 207. I scanned the room for roaches with the lights off so I would see them scurrying if they indeed were in the room. There was no roaches, no remnants of skin from any either. I did find that under the dressers, behind the fridge and in the closet hasn't been cleaned in ages with scraps of food, dead bugs (not roaches) and just hair, fur balls of dust, and grossness. Bathroom tub was rusted, shower bar taped up with electrical tape, toilet paper holder rusted and you might as well just of showered without a curtain as the bar was bent so it couldn't be held up. But you did get your complimentary bar of soap, lotion, and shampoo/conditioner. 😁 Curtains were stained as well by the window. Very outdated as the couch and carpet were from the 80s and in need of renovations! Won't stay here again! And no bar/restaurant as advertised. ! Also if you like stray cats like me they feed them all along the tree line going in. Bowls everywhere.
May 25, 2025 · Kelly GreenMy family and I traveled 9 hours to come visit friends and family. We walked into the lobby and seemed very nice and clean, once we got to the elevators and to our floor the smell was horrible and very muggy. The room was worse, the second we walked in there were bugs crawling on the floor, the bathroom was absolutely disgusting, the curtains had stains all over them and not to mention the beds were not cleaned! We asked to switch rooms in hopes it would be better but unfortunately it was exact same. The front desk was very helpful with cancelling our entire stay.
Apr 18, 2025 · Lauren MertzAs a construction worker who has traveled the state's for over 10 years I've had my fair share of bad hotels. This one is one of the dirtiest rooms I've stayed in. I had enough hair stuck to the shower walls i could have made a wig with it. Room had a very musty cigarette smell to it. So did the entire hotel. Front desk lady was great. The rest of what is going on at this location needs overhauled. Clean your rooms. Mop your floors. Wipe the elevator walls and floors every once in awhile.
Mar 10, 2025 · Brandon LewisAs someone in hospitality I’ve been appalled since walking through the doors. It started with the failure to validate my credit card in a chip reader. As soon as I got to the room, I closed the curtains to discover what looked like a crime scene made out of coffee. I then set myself in the bed and the top cover had a round brown stain and thread snags. The shower was full of mold/mildew. The next morning myself and my friends each burned ourselves on the metal utensils under the breakfast warmer. While we were out, I came back to discover housekeeping had cleaned my room while the DND sign was on the door. That was my last straw. I spoke with management who promised to speak with them. My laptop, iPad, and weighted blanket had been removed from my bed and haphazardly left on the dresser. It was the worse feeling. The new sheets had sprinkles of stains when I pulled them down. The kicker was the smeared poop or blood on the bathroom door. Finally, we stayed 3 nights and went to breakfast for 3 mornings. It’s your typical hotel breakfast, but it was the same freaking thing every morning. I’ve never been in a hotel that didn’t offer variety. I will never come back to this hotel.
