Do not stay here. The people running this place are terrible. Just look at the reviews. No , I didn't stay here. however I've been discriminated by them after a job application and they clearly denied me for my age or my race. 22 years of hotel experience does not walk into their laps everyday. Trust me, stay away from this horrible place, everyone deserves to know how they operate on a day to day level. According to the reviews I've just read, they treat alot of people very poorly. Just stay away from this place.

Comfort Suites Near University / North Brunswick Introduce

When searching for "Hotels Near Of Me" in the North Brunswick Township, New Jersey area, Comfort Suites Near University / North Brunswick may appear as an option. Located at 2880 US-1, North Brunswick Township, NJ 08902, USA, and reachable at (732) 297-7400 or +1 732-297-7400, this hotel, part of the Choice Hotels brand, typically aims to provide a comfortable suite experience for various travelers. However, it is crucial to present a balanced view, incorporating direct customer experiences that raise significant concerns about the property's operations and guest relations.

The environment of Comfort Suites Near University / North Brunswick, from a purely physical perspective, is characteristic of many roadside hotels on major thoroughfares. Situated on US-1, it offers convenient access for travelers navigating this busy route. Its name suggests proximity to a university, which could imply a target audience of visiting parents, prospective students, or academic professionals. However, the provided customer reviews paint a challenging picture of the overall guest environment, extending beyond the physical structure. The highly negative experiences shared by previous individuals suggest an environment where guests have felt mistreated and discriminated against. One review explicitly states, "Do not stay here," describing the people running the place as "terrible" and alleging discrimination based on "age or race" during a job application process. Another review details a harrowing experience involving refusal of check-in due to a cash-only deposit, despite a pre-paid booking, escalating to verbal abuse and threats from the manager. These accounts heavily impact the perceived environment, indicating a potentially hostile or unaccommodating atmosphere for guests. While the physical structure and typical Comfort Suites amenities might aim for comfort, the reported operational environment severely undermines this.

The services at Comfort Suites Near University / North Brunswick, as described by customer feedback, appear to be a major point of contention. While typical Comfort Suites properties offer services such as complimentary breakfast, free Wi-Fi, and a fitness center, the provided reviews focus almost exclusively on negative interactions concerning fundamental aspects of hotel service. One deeply concerning account details a rigid and uncompromising policy regarding deposits, with the front desk refusing a cash deposit for a pre-paid booking and the manager subsequently engaging in "unbelievably rude" behavior, including "cursing" and demanding the guest "get out of the property." This direct report of managerial conduct stands in stark contrast to expected hospitality standards, where professionalism and problem-solving are paramount. The refusal to check in a pre-paid guest and the subsequent delay in refunding money, along with threats of police escort, indicate severe breakdowns in customer service protocols. The claim of discrimination during a job application further compounds the negative perception of the hotel's operational ethics and treatment of individuals. These reports suggest a significant deviation from the expected level of service one would anticipate from a reputable hotel brand.

The features of Comfort Suites typically include spacious guest suites with separate living and sleeping areas, often equipped with a sofa bed, a flat-screen TV, a microwave, and a refrigerator. These in-room amenities are designed to provide more comfort and convenience than a standard hotel room, catering to both business and leisure travelers. Common property features for a Comfort Suites might also include an indoor pool, a fitness center, and meeting facilities. However, the provided reviews do not detail any positive experiences with these features. Instead, the focus is entirely on problematic interactions related to the hotel's policies and management. For instance, the discussion around deposit methods highlights a critical feature of financial transactions and payment options. While hotels typically have policies regarding payment and deposits, the manner in which these policies were enforced, as described by the customer, overshadows any potential positive aspects of the physical features. The lack of positive commentary on room comfort, cleanliness, or specific in-room amenities in the provided feedback suggests that these aspects, even if present, were overshadowed by severe service failures and alleged discriminatory practices. The emphasis on operational issues means that the intended features of the hotel are not being effectively utilized or appreciated by guests due to the overarching negative experiences.

Given the nature of the provided customer reviews, any discussion of "promotional information" for Comfort Suites Near University / North Brunswick becomes exceptionally challenging. Traditional promotional strategies for hotels typically highlight amenities, value propositions, and positive guest experiences. However, the feedback here points to serious operational and ethical concerns, including allegations of discrimination and threats. For example, a common hotel promotion might involve loyalty programs like Choice Privileges. However, the reported experiences make it difficult to objectively present any promotional appeal without directly addressing the significant negative accounts. While the hotel's affiliation with the Comfort Suites brand would generally imply a certain level of quality and service, the customer experiences described contradict this. Therefore, potential guests seeking "Hotels Near Of Me" must weigh the alleged operational issues and negative customer service experiences against any standard brand offerings. The severity of the complaints, including reported discrimination and threats, would necessitate a direct inquiry with the hotel regarding their policies and customer service approach before booking. It is important to note that such reviews often lead to a reevaluation of operational practices by brand management, but this information is not available. The most significant "information" available for promotion, in this case, is a strong warning from former guests, urging others to "stay away from this horrible place."

Absolutely terrible experience. I arrived at 1 a.m., extremely sleepy and exhausted from a five-hour drive, only to be told by the front desk that they only accept deposits in debit or credit card and do not accept cash, despite my booking being fully reserved and paid a day before I arrived. As a student who just got paid and traveled from another state, I only had cash on me, and my debit card was empty. The front desk refused to check us in, and after a heated argument, the manager got on the phone and was unbelievably rude. He started cursing, told me to get out of the property, and even said he didn't care about a one-star review because he owns the property. When I called Hotels.com to request a refund, the manager refused to refund me until I left the property and even threatened to have us escorted by the police if we didn't leave within five minutes. We had to wait 30 minutes after driving off the property for him to release my money so I could book another hotel nearby. This level of discrimination, unprofessionalism, and outright threats is absolutely unacceptable.

We requested for a room service before we headout and was surprised after few hours room is still not clean but the housekeeper is all the way at the end of the hallway and she just passed our hotel room. The next day we told the front desk we'll do late check out and we're willing to pay for the extra charge. Not only did the housekeeping knocked once and not even 10 sec she opened the door when it's not even 11AM but the front desk called and asked us about the physical card for late check out and around 1:20 he knocked asking for the same thing. I mean cant you just wait until 2pm so you can charge my card when we're still going to the front desk to surrender the key card anyway and on top of that it didnt even take him 30 secs to check my card. This is ridiculous!

Crazy experience thus far. Maybe if it improves I’ll change it. Arrived at 10pm with a reservation from booking. Receptionist and I notice the amount he’s charging me is higher than my booking amount. I ask him why - he says it’s higher now because the rate changed?? Like what? You advertised a certain price and I booked it - now you try to charge me more without even telling me (I happened to notice). Then I try to get into my room and none of the keycards work. This is the most frustrating experience after flying for 20 hours when you just want to get in the room. I go down, I tell him, he says are you sure you did it right - I said yes but he gives me new keys to try again. I go up again with all my luggage and try again. Same thing happens. I have to go all the way back down again with all my luggage. He then wants to try for himself so I follow him up again and he finally sees that yes it’s not working for real. I wait around in the hallway, now it’s 30 minutes past my arrival until he gets keys that work (still they take 7 swipes before they work). And this last bit is what caused me to write this. The reception from the previous night told me breakfast is from 7am to 11am. I arrive at 10:30am and then am told that breakfast finished at 10am. Luckily I am able to get some snacks so I won’t be starving. At this point while I’m eating, not bothering anyone, and the place has already been cleaned, one of the employees or family members of employees comes to me and says I’m not allowed to have breakfast past 10am. Like there is no food being served, I am just sitting at a table not bothering anyone and yet they have a problem with me sitting there as a hotel guest as if it is costing them extra money for me to sit there. I tell her that the receptionist last night specifically told me breakfast is from 7am to 11am and that’s why I got here at 10:30. She says straight up to my face that “No one told you that” Are you serious? Telling the customer that he is lying when in fact he is not is a serious offense. Unbelievable customer service. Never have I experienced this level of rudeness and indecency at any hotel I’ve been to around the world. This is how you treat your guests for sitting at a table not bothering anyone? The manager then came by and we had the same conversation, I told him I know it’s until 10 now because your other staff told me but your rmanager receptionist told me 11. He then says yes but on your keycard it says 10. Like you serious? Your own staff told me at 11 after a long journey so please stop blaming me for not reading the tiny print on your keycard. Unbelievable. Customer service is an absolute zero at this place so far. It’s not the fault of the guest that your keycards are new. Many other guests are experiencing this same issue. It doesn’t excuse an inconvenient check-in process for guests. I would have not wrote this if they had not just ruined a perfectly good day while I was having breakfast not bothering anyone by being completely rude for no reason.
