Have stayed at this property many times and usually like to stay in #225. Great location on the property for easy walking to adult pool area. Have stayed in different months (May, June, Sept, Oct) and have loved each season. I usually travel with my husband but have made several Solo trips to SV. As a solo, female traveler I feel completely safe on the property. Because I have returned to the same cottage several times I have seen improvements each visit that have been made by the owner. I love having the option of cooking meals myself when desired. I have found the cottage well equipped and comfortable. Love the surrounding area and will return over and over.

Sep 16, 2024 · Mary Beth WilsonThis was our 3rd time coming to Summer Village. It's a lovely community and the location is perfect. The amenities are great for families. We used 2 of the 3 pools (there's a 3rd in the middle of the complex but it was further from our cottage), the tennis & pickle ball courts - all very well maintained. The cottages are close together but it somehow it feels quiet and peaceful. There's not a lot of car traffic and there's a trolley (my kids were obsessed!) that comes by frequently on a loop. The location is really convenient to Ogunquit, Wells Beach and Kennebunk so there are good options for both beach days and cooler/overcast days. I'm leaving this review because I just read some of the bad reviews that were left since our stay in August and I had to double check that I was looking at the right Summer Village. My experience was very different from those who are slamming it so I want to offer a different opinion. II cannot say my experience was any different last month from the first two visits (in 2022 & 2023). Our cottage was very clean and we were able to check in on time. Our check-in was completely straightforward, no issue. I definitely recommend Summer Village and we plan to return again next August.
Sep 14, 2024 · Sara KennedyBRING BACK MELANIE!!!!!! I have gone to Summer village as a child and now bring my kids there. When I tell you the place has gone completely downhill, trust me on this!!!!! The new general manager does not care about anything, nor do the board members!! The playground swings are broken, events are now non existent, 3 hr delay in check ins, dirty cottages, pools shut down, etc. Wake up board members, because word of mouth travels fast!!! I have sent several families there in the past years and I will no longer recommend it after my horrific experience this year. Your GM refused to speak to me for the entire week I was there on the laundry list of issues I faced during my stay in July. She finally got back to me minutes before I checked out to let me know she would refund me an amount due to my 3 hr delay in checking in. Come to find out - she never put the refund through. I have since continued to try to reach her with no success. Just today I heard of a staff member leaving after 18 years of service with no regard from the board as well! Fire your GM and bring back Melanie! She cared about the grounds, events and most importantly her customers. Summer village is going to be run into the ground if you keep it up! Shame on the board for allowing so many unhappy customers in the last year! I no longer recommend this as a family resort. Find somewhere else to stay folks! The amount they charge now, you can find a house in Florida for a week near Disney for the same amount!!!
Sep 08, 2024 · Lauren SandagataMy family has been coming to Cottages at Summer Village since 2020 and it is a very special place for our family. They have a heated family pool for the kids, game room and other great amenities including a playground and trolley. The resort is centrally located right near several other desirable towns including Ogunquit, York and Kennebunkport. The cottages are spacious with a full kitchen. Would highly recommend to families looking for a summer getaway!
Sep 15, 2024 · Ron ZuvichI have been going to Summer Village for many years and this year was a total disappointment. To start with we had over a 2 hour wait to get into our cottage due to not having enough staff to clean the cottage. We were told due to the inconvenience we would get a $50 credit that would be put back on our credit card. It’s been 6 weeks and several phone calls telling me someone would call me back after speaking to the new General Manager and to this day I have never heard back from anyone. I was disappointed to see how tired the grounds had become. The play ground was in need of repair with several things broken. Sadly we won’t be returning next summer. In speaking to several other people vacationing many had the same comments about what a difference in the grounds from just a few summers ago.
