Dirty, poor service, rude staff. Rooms were so disgusting, after checking in and looking at them I didn't even want to stay but we only had to stay for a few hours since it was so late. I've stayed at a 30$ hotel that was cleaner than this one. The curtains were literally shreds, the shower didn't drain, there was some gross marks on the bathroom door. I didn't walk around the room barefoot because the floors were so dirty. For almost 300$ a night "discounted" block rate, they could at least sweep and fix the shredded curtain.

Jul 27, 2025 · Julia MillerNice Hotel, But Not for Light Sleepers We recently stayed at the Country Inn in West Bend and found much to appreciate: the location is convenient, the staff were friendly, and the amenities met our expectations. However, one major drawback significantly affected our experience. The building's wooden frame and poorly insulated doors and ceilings mean that noise travels easily between rooms. We were repeatedly woken well before 6 a.m. by loud footsteps from the room above, which made it difficult to get a restful night’s sleep. This wasn’t an isolated incident—it happened on multiple mornings. An email to the manager was met with a quick and courteous reply but there's really not much they can do. While the hotel has many positive qualities, anyone who values peace and quiet during their stay may want to consider alternative accommodations. Sadly, despite everything else being in order, the noise issue alone would keep us from booking again.
Jun 11, 2025 · John MahnenWe were in the area visiting state parks and grabbed this place at the last minute. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel elevator was broken and they couldn’t get us on first floor due to our needing 2 beds. Annoying but minor inconvenience. The chair in our room was awful and peeling. And it appeared the dresser/cabinet hadn’t been cleaned. The remote also felt dirty and at first I thought it was just the texture but wiped it with a towel and it was covered in dust or something that came off. Breakfast was to be expected and tasted good, had everything I expected.
May 25, 2025 · Luis LopesThe location was convenient and right off the highway. The room was clean and basic. Breakfast was basic and they ran out of fruit each day ( I guess 730am is late arrival). The elevator was not working for the 3 nights I was there and being on the 3rd floor was not fun with my luggage. I was not given notice of this inconvenience. I booked through Southwest vacations and was given a 72hr cancelation option. I called within that time frame but was not refunded by the hotel. They claimed I didn't call in time. So I guess their calendar is not my calendar for 72 hrs.
