I have stayed at this hotel maybe a dozen times for work, each for at least a week at a time. Most of my complaints are not a reason to give a bad review, because they can't do much about the terrible location and noise. There is a ton of noise because it's in between the highway and Walmart. You hear loud cars and music 24/7, but that's not a big deal to me. They also took 6 months to repair one of their elevators. They were both working last time I was there, but they are the slowest elevators I have ever seen. I started taking the stairs mainly because it's faster and I don't have to worry about getting stuck. The reason why I can giving a 1-star review is because they have on multiple occasions charged me for random things that I did not receive. They charged me for a meal that I did not order or receive, and they charged me for items from the shop downstairs that I did not order or receive. I don't find out about it until I get back to work on Monday and do my expense report. I call them and they give me the run around and tell me to call back when a manager is working. I don't care about the money, but I do care about my time. It screws up my expense reports, causes me to waste time on the phone, and it's really annoying. I was a very loyal customer who stopped going to this hotel because of the bogus charges I keep getting. I don't know if it's people spending money and telling them the wrong room number or what, but it's probably preventable, and I will never be back to this hotel. I will pay extra to stay somewhere else from now on.
Courtyard Atlanta Conyers, a Marriott property, is located at 1337 Old Covington Hwy SE, Conyers, GA 30013, USA. As a significant establishment within the "Hotels Near Of Me" category, it aims to cater to both business and leisure travelers with its array of services and amenities. Its strategic location off Interstate 20 provides accessibility to local attractions and the greater Atlanta area.
Conyers, Georgia, offers a blend of suburban living with convenient access to major urban centers. The Courtyard Atlanta Conyers is situated in a commercial area, strategically positioned "in between the highway and Walmart," as noted by a guest. This location offers immediate access to various shopping and dining options, with a Walmart within walking distance, enhancing convenience for guests. The proximity to Interstate 20 (I-20) ensures easy travel to downtown Atlanta, approximately 25-28 miles west, and to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), which is around 32-39 miles away. While the convenient location offers access to amenities, it also means the hotel is in a "busy area in town," and some guests have reported a "ton of noise" from "loud cars and music 24/7" due to its proximity to the highway and parking lots. This might be a consideration for guests sensitive to noise. Despite the urban setting, guests can explore local attractions such as Historic Olde Town Conyers (approximately 2-5 minutes away) with its unique shops and eateries, and the Georgia International Horse Park (around five miles), a major venue for equestrian events and other activities. Stonecrest Mall is also within a reasonable driving distance (9-10 minutes). The general environment around the hotel is functional and convenient for travelers.
As a Courtyard by Marriott, the hotel typically offers a range of services designed to enhance productivity and comfort. Guests can expect complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the property, including in rooms and public areas. The hotel features The Bistro, a casual dining option that serves breakfast and dinner, along with Starbucks coffee and evening cocktails. For recreation and fitness, the hotel usually offers an indoor swimming pool and a 24-hour fitness center. While one guest mentioned a long repair time for an elevator, suggesting potential maintenance challenges, the hotel typically aims to provide fully functional facilities. Business travelers can utilize the business center, a computer station, and meeting facilities that can accommodate various events. Other general services include a 24-hour front desk, express check-in/check-out, and laundry facilities. The hotel provides free self-parking. The staff is generally described as helpful, with one recent review specifically commending the front desk service and the care taken by a supervisor, Caryn Trimble, with forgotten items, highlighting instances of honesty and professionalism. However, serious concerns have been raised by a loyal customer regarding "bogus charges" for unreceived meals or shop items, indicating potential issues with billing accuracy and resolution processes, requiring guests to be vigilant with their expense reports.
Courtyard Atlanta Conyers offers comfortable, air-conditioned guest rooms and suites designed for modern travelers. Rooms typically feature a flat-screen TV with cable channels, a spacious work desk with an ergonomic chair, and complimentary wired and wireless internet access. For guest convenience, rooms are usually equipped with a mini-refrigerator and a coffee/tea maker. Private bathrooms come with a shower/tub combination, hairdryer, and complimentary toiletries. Some rooms may offer a separate sitting area with a sofa bed. While specific details on bedding comfort were not provided in the given reviews, Courtyard properties generally provide quality bedding for a restful sleep. A guest noted their room "smelled fresh and looked clean" upon arrival and appreciated the "custom welcome message on the TV." Although the hotel is not described as "newer," guests reported that while there might be "slight discoloration to wall paper and such in the bathroom," everything was "very clean and well maintained." The issue of non-functional automatic blinds in one room was also reported, suggesting that while rooms are generally well-kept, minor maintenance issues can occur. Overall, the rooms aim to provide a functional and clean environment for guests.
Guest feedback for Courtyard Atlanta Conyers is mixed, presenting a complex picture of the hotel experience. Positive comments highlight clean rooms, fresh smells, and a generally well-maintained appearance. The "cute touch" of a custom welcome message on the TV and the convenience of the location, with easy access to the interstate and nearby shopping, are also appreciated. Excellent service from specific staff members, such as a helpful front desk clerk and a supervisor (Caryn Trimble) who ensured the safe return of forgotten items, is a significant positive. However, a major recurring negative point from a loyal customer involved "bogus charges" for unreceived meals or shop items, leading to frustration, wasted time resolving issues, and a decision to cease staying at the hotel. Other complaints include a "terrible location and noise" from the highway and surrounding businesses, and slow elevators (with one being out of order for a long period). These contrasting experiences suggest that while the hotel generally maintains cleanliness and offers some helpful staff interactions, significant operational and billing issues can detract from the overall guest satisfaction for some, particularly long-term guests. The discrepancy between isolated positive service encounters and systemic billing problems is a key takeaway from the reviews.
As a Marriott property, Courtyard Atlanta Conyers participates in the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program, allowing guests to earn and redeem points for stays, access elite benefits, and enjoy exclusive offers. The hotel's on-site Bistro for breakfast and dinner, along with Starbucks coffee, is a key convenience offered. While specific time-sensitive promotions are best verified directly with the hotel, the core value proposition includes complimentary Wi-Fi and free self-parking. The hotel also caters to business travelers with meeting space and a business center. For the most accurate and up-to-date information on current promotions, specific room availability, or to clarify any particular policies or services, it is highly recommended to contact Courtyard Atlanta Conyers directly at (770) 922-2251 or +1 770-922-2251. Given the reported issues with billing, guests are advised to carefully review their statements upon check-out and ensure they receive itemized receipts for any charges incurred.

Apr 21, 2025 · Mark HarmonOn May 4th 2025 I arrived at the Courtyard by Marianne. Everything was just lovely. The service at the front desk The Hotel was very clean. I didn't get to enjoy dinner there. Because I had a graduation to go to but I did forget 3 items in my room after checking out and call the hotel back May 5th. The next day they told me my items were there. The supervisor Caryn Trimble took great care of my items until they were picked up. I really appreciate that because I know we don't have too many honest people in the world today. So I wanted to give you a shout out. Thank you so much. And have a lovely day.
May 07, 2025 · Yolanda MatthewsMe and my family were going to book here for the kids spring break since they had the inside pool this week but the lady I just got off the phone with attitude was not welcoming! She act like I was annoying her with the questions I asked . If you don’t want to be asked questions , front desk is not the job for you ma’am. We will be taking our money elsewhere.
Apr 07, 2025 · Toya DI booked through a third party for a reservation. Ended up having to cancel the my room the same day I booked it because a medical emergency came up. I tried getting a refund back but neither the hotel nor the third party would issue me a refund and I was deemed a no show, very disappointing and unethical. I can not help a medical emergency happened, I even have proof to show them that it was one. Please be careful when you book make sure you ask them their policy even then I feel like I should get my refund back because like I said it was a medical emergency. I will never book here again .
Dec 24, 2024 · Auriana HarrisonI chill here every Sunday just for some peace and quite, and to watch football. But been very frustrating the last 2 Sundays in a row because the TV 📺 wasn't working at all. In none of the rooms. I couldn't even watch football the last 2 weeks in a row. I wanted to cry yesterday 😢 😆 🤣 but I kept my cool, read the Bible and worked out to ease my mind. The fire pit wasn't on and the area still had snow and ice. Smh so I could not even chill out there to read. I hope the TV issue is fixed this Sunday 🙏🏿 or I will have to find a new chill spot.
