THEY CALLED THE POLICE ON ME! I was absolutely mortified and embarrassed. I had paid for two days apparently they didn't see my reservation I showed them and they talked to Priceline that I had paid. However they couldn't accommodate my reservation because they were sold out , I have been staying there for over a month . I find out after checkout time they couldn't honor my reservation, the front desk called the room phone and said they were calling the police , because it was past checkout . They screwed up, and then had the audacity to call the police . It was an embarrassing and mortified experience. I'm a Marriot bon voyage member also. I'll never go to a Marriot hotel again if they hire people like that . The people that work there shouldn't be in the hospitality industry they are definitely not hospitable
For individuals and families seeking "Hotels Near Of Me" in the Warwick, Rhode Island area, the Courtyard by Marriott Providence Warwick is a property that often appears as a choice due to its brand recognition and location. Situated at 55 Jefferson Park Rd, Warwick, RI 02888, USA, this Marriott property aims to provide a blend of modern comfort and convenience, particularly for those needing easy access to the airport and major regional attractions. However, recent guest feedback suggests that while the physical aspects of the hotel largely align with Courtyard standards, the consistency of service and maintenance of amenities can be a significant factor in the overall guest experience.
The Courtyard by Marriott Providence Warwick boasts a strategic location that is particularly beneficial for air travelers. Its proximity to T.F. Green Airport (PVD), being only approximately 3 to 4.5 kilometers away, makes it a convenient option for pre-flight stays, layovers, or arrivals. The hotel provides a complimentary shuttle service (typically 5 AM to 12 AM within a 5-mile radius), further simplifying transportation for guests utilizing the airport. This prime location also offers easy access to major roadways, including I-95, facilitating travel to various points of interest throughout Rhode Island. Key attractions within a short drive include Roger Williams Park Zoo (approximately a 4-minute drive), the Rhode Island Convention Center, and the Amica Mutual Pavilion (Dunkin' Donuts Center). Downtown Providence, with its diverse culinary scene, historic sites, and cultural institutions, is also readily accessible. The immediate vicinity of the hotel is primarily commercial, contributing to a generally quiet environment. The property provides complimentary self-parking on site, which is a valuable amenity for guests with vehicles, and accessible parking options are available.
The Courtyard by Marriott brand is known for its modern and functional approach to hospitality, and this Warwick property generally adheres to that. The lobby area, often described as inviting with a fireplace, aims to create a welcoming atmosphere. Guests frequently note the "clean rooms" as a positive aspect, suggesting that the housekeeping standards are generally high. However, recent customer reviews reveal significant inconsistencies and concerns regarding the quality of front desk service and communication, which can drastically impact the guest experience. While some staff members are found to be "attentive" and "very nice," other interactions, such as issues with reservation accommodation, lack of communication regarding amenity closures, and perceived rudeness, have led to "embarrassing and mortified" experiences for guests. This indicates a disparity in staff training or operational consistency that guests should be aware of. The hotel operates a 24-hour front desk, though the effectiveness of assistance at all hours seems to vary. Accessibility is a key focus, with features like wheelchair access to public areas (including the business center, fitness center, and restaurant), visual alarms, and accessible rooms with features like grab bars and lowered amenities.
The hotel features "The Bistro – Eat. Drink. Connect.", a signature Courtyard offering that serves as a convenient on-site dining option. It provides cooked-to-order breakfast (for a surcharge), as well as dinner and light fare, focusing on American cuisine. The Bistro also includes a full bar/lounge for evening drinks and socializing. While one review noted that the "food at the bistro was not the best," the staff serving at the bistro were consistently described as "very nice." This suggests that while the culinary offerings might be basic or inconsistent, the service within the dining area remains pleasant, aiming to meet essential dining needs without guests having to leave the hotel.
The Courtyard by Marriott Providence Warwick typically boasts a heated indoor pool and a 24-hour fitness center. These amenities are significant draws for many guests seeking relaxation or to maintain their workout routines. However, recent reviews explicitly state that "the pool & jacuzzi were down," and a guest "wish we would have been aware before going." This highlights a critical issue regarding amenity availability and pre-arrival communication. While the fitness center is generally well-equipped with modern machines and weights, the "gym was unusable" according to one review, suggesting that even this core amenity can be subject to unexpected downtime. Additionally, the hotel offers a garden and a picnic area, providing pleasant outdoor spaces, and a shared lounge area with comfortable seating and a TV.
The 92 guestrooms at the Courtyard by Marriott Providence Warwick are designed for comfort and functionality, catering to both business and leisure travelers. Rooms are consistently praised for being "clean," comfortable, and well-equipped. Each room features premium bedding, a laptop-friendly workspace, air conditioning, and a 32-inch flat-screen TV with cable programming and premium channels (including Netflix access). Complimentary wired and wireless internet access keeps guests connected. For added convenience, all rooms include a mini-refrigerator, microwave, and coffee/tea maker. Bathrooms are appointed with a shower/tub combination, complimentary toiletries, and hair dryers. Some rooms may offer a King Balcony Guest room for stunning views and more space. The hotel also provides free cribs/infant beds and offers rollaway/extra beds (for a surcharge), accommodating families. While generally well-regarded for their cleanliness, some past reviews mentioned issues with outdated bathrooms, visible mold, or worn furniture in specific instances, suggesting that while the property is well-maintained overall, some areas may be due for updates or that issues can arise in individual rooms.
As a Marriott property, the Courtyard by Marriott Providence Warwick participates in the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program. Members can enjoy exclusive rates, earn points on their stays, and redeem them for free nights, experiences, and other benefits. Marriott frequently offers various promotions, such as "Premium Rooms & Suites Await" which provides savings when booking elevated room types or suites for 2 nights or more, or seasonal deals like "Spring Break Savings & Packages." Guests can also look for discounts for AAA members, government employees, or military personnel. Booking directly through the Marriott website or app is often recommended to access the best available rates and utilize Bonvoy member benefits. The hotel's value proposition is strong, especially for business travelers or those seeking the consistency of the Marriott brand. Prices can fluctuate seasonally; for instance, June and October are often cited as potentially cheaper months for stays, while peak seasons might see higher rates. Guests are encouraged to check the official Marriott website or contact the hotel directly for the most current promotional offers and specific package details. However, as noted in the reviews, even Marriott Bonvoy members can encounter significant service issues.
The Courtyard by Marriott Providence Warwick, when viewed objectively as a "Hotels Near Of Me" option, presents a mixed picture. Its strengths lie in its advantageous location near T.F. Green Airport, its generally clean and well-equipped rooms, and the presence of amenities like an indoor pool and fitness center (when operational). The "attentive" and "nice" staff at The Bistro, and the overall cleanliness, are definite positives. However, recent and significant negative feedback regarding front desk service, communication failures, and the unexpected unavailability of key amenities (like the pool) are serious concerns that prospective guests must consider. While the Marriott brand typically signifies a certain level of quality and consistency, this specific property, based on customer reviews, appears to have challenges in delivering that consistency across all aspects of the guest experience. For travelers prioritizing location and brand familiarity, it may suffice, but those seeking guaranteed amenity functionality and seamless service should proceed with caution and potentially verify amenity status directly with the hotel prior to booking.

May 18, 2025 · KmThe rooms were clean & the front desk was attentive. The food ar the bistro was not the best but the staff was very nice. The pool & jacuzzi were down which was unfortunate, wish we would have been aware before going. I have been trying to call the hotel for over 10 days. The call does not go through & continues ringing before ending the call.
Mar 02, 2025 · Kiara FossI was there for a business trip 4+ days. Pretty nice had a room with a balcony staff was nice room was clean. The only thing honestly is that the walls are super thin, but what do you expect but over all it was pretty decent.
Nov 26, 2024 · Sean PalmerThis hotel did some things right but overall it's falling apart. The front desk is very friendly and gives a welcome bag and a thank you lollipop as you leave. The maintenance worker was everywhere doing everything. He was great and we enjoyed the pool although the jaquizzi doesnt work. The room is old which lots of peeling paint, cracks and stains. The main complaint is Saturday night around 11pm it sounded like a party was happening in the room below me. We ended up realizing it was someone blasting music outside either from their car or having a party. We called the front desk and they said they were working on it. It would come and go and everytime waking us all up including my son. Around 1am we called down again and they said they were tracking it but there was nothing they could do because it wasn't on property. We said after a certain time if your neighbors were having a party you could call the cops, doesn't matter if it's not your property. They said they couldn't do that. They offered us pillows. It was very upsetting. We said we would call the cops. There has to be protocol for this. There's a noise ordinance and after that time the cops can and should be called. It's the hotels job to ensure a quiet night of sleep not the customers to have to call the cops themselves. The noise continued until 2am. I did not sleep much that night and would like my points back that I used. We overall enjoyed our stay but I would not come back due to the area it's in and lack if upkeep of the rooms.
Nov 04, 2024 · Kimberly KlappertThe hotel location is convenient for Providence Airport but there isn’t anything nearby except for a Dunkin Donuts and a gas station. Essentially located in an industrial parking lot. The main issue is the hotel is right beside a dog boarding facility and the dogs are outside all day and evening barking non-stop. The rooms are dated, as is the hotel but I did not have any cleanliness issues. Front desk told me there would be bottled water in my room at check-in, there was not. Staff were friendly, no complaints for the people who work here. I would not stay here again and do not recommend it.
