One of the most striking features of Cross Creek Hideaway Cabin is its environment. Situated in a truly secluded setting, guests consistently praise its sense of privacy, making them feel like they are the only people around. This peaceful ambiance is perfect for unwinding and reconnecting with nature. The cabin boasts a full wrap-around deck, adorned with log rocking chairs and cozy seating areas, providing ample space to soak in the fresh mountain air and listen to the sounds of the surrounding wilderness. From the kitchen side of the cabin, guests can enjoy seasonal mountain views through a wall of windows, bringing the beauty of the outdoors inside. The property features a stone path, lit at night by enchanting strand lights, leading to a beautiful fire pit area. This refreshed stone fire pit is equipped with six brand-new Adirondack chairs, ideal for evening campfires, roasting s'mores, or simply enjoying conversation under the stars. For those who enjoy hiking and exploring, the cabin provides a hiking and nature bag, or even a wine picnic bag, encouraging guests to venture beyond the porch and fire pit. The cabin is also noted for its seasonal displays of Mountain Laurel (mid-late spring) and rhododendron (late spring to early summer) blooms, adding to the natural splendor. It is important to note that accessing the cabin requires an SUV, truck, or high-clearance vehicle, as you will need to cross a creek that is regularly about 6 inches deep (though it can reach up to 12 inches during heavy rains, subsiding quickly thereafter) and navigate a mountain gravel road. This ensures a truly off-the-beaten-path experience. The property is designed to offer complete privacy with no neighbors in sight, making it a genuine hideaway.
Cross Creek Hideaway Cabin is designed with comfort and entertainment in mind, offering a wide array of services and amenities that cater to various needs and preferences. The cabin is a spacious 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom property, comfortably accommodating groups up to 8 people. It features three king bedrooms and an upstairs queen bedroom, ensuring personal space for everyone. Upon entering, guests are greeted by 20-foot ceilings and beautiful mountain laurel railings in the spacious open-plan living area. This area is furnished with new couches and dining furniture, creating a comfortable and relaxing space for watching the Smart TV or playing board games. The living space flows seamlessly into a well-appointed open kitchen. For those who need to catch up on work, there's a comfortable work desk space in the loft overlooking the seasonal mountain view. While Wi-Fi is available, it is noted as not being high-speed, so it may not be suitable for heavy work-related tasks. The cabin also includes laundry facilities on the basement level, with complimentary laundry pods provided. Essential starter products like toilet paper (1 roll per bathroom), paper towels (1 roll), dishwasher pods (2), trash bags (2), laundry pods (2), bath soap (1 per bathroom), and a pack of coffee are also provided for guest convenience. All linens and towels are included.
Cross Creek Hideaway Cabin boasts several unique features that enhance the guest experience. The self-check-in process with a keypad provides flexibility and ease of arrival. The cabin's design, with its 20-foot ceilings and mountain laurel railings, creates a grand yet rustic atmosphere. The emphasis on both indoor and outdoor living spaces is evident, from the expansive deck to the inviting fire pit area and the quiet yoga corner at the end of the basement hall for additional relaxation and stretching. The property is pet-friendly, welcoming furry family members, although the minimum age of the primary renter is 29 (no exceptions) and pets are welcome with fees (service animals are exempt). Past guests have lauded its seclusion, making it an ideal choice for those seeking a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. One customer particularly appreciated the cabin's ability to comfortably accommodate a group of seven, highlighting its spaciousness and the feeling of being "the only people around." The memorable experience of a black bear visiting the yard further underscores the cabin's immersive natural setting. While an older review from 2015 mentioned some minor issues like a non-level pool/ping-pong table and limited cooking items, recent information indicates significant updates have been made. These updates include new beds and memory foam mattresses, new living room furniture, an updated pool table with new felt, outdoor lighting, and new Adirondack chairs at the fire pit, alongside new decor. This suggests a commitment to continually improving the guest experience and addressing past feedback. While specific short-term promotions are not consistently advertised online, the value is inherent in the extensive amenities and updated features provided for a private cabin experience, often proving more cost-effective and comfortable for groups than multiple hotel rooms. The option for trout fishing in a private Blue Creek Trout pond stocked with Rainbow trout is also available, adding to the unique activities offered. The cabin is managed by a company dedicated to guest satisfaction, aiming to exceed expectations and encourage repeat stays.

Jun 18, 2024 · phillip ageeWe stayed April of 2015. There were actually 4 couples, and the arrangement worked great. Note: this review is 3 years late - things may have changed since. The pool table/ping pong combo table wasn't level, made for interesting games... The lack of cooking items means pancakes were mixed in eating bowls and cooked in pots. The hot tub and the sauna were nice. The main floor had the nicest bed/bath. The upstairs was nice, and two bedrooms downstairs shared the same bath (plus sauna). One downstairs bedroom had the direct outside accessible door, the other was on the interior of the basement (but still had an outside window. We were disappointed but not mad. Giving it a rounded up from 3.5 stars to make it 4. Wouldn't choose again unless price/selection mandated it.
May 26, 2018 · Jason KimbleThe cabin itself was nice. You do have a few neighbors, but you only see them when you drive up. The only noise is sometimes a few dogs. The cabin inside was nice. The furniture needs to be replaced. When you sit on the couches you sink into and I'm only 115lbs. All the beds need to be replaced. The mattresses are worn and the beds made a lot of noise. The stove... is old. It takes forever to boil water and to heat up the stove. The toaster even needs to be replaced. It took 10 - 15 minutes to heat up waffles. The worst part is the cleaning. The wood floors are disgusting! There was a sticky substance on several spots. We spilled some water and used a paper towel to clean it and it was black after. We had to go to Walmart to buy cheap slippers to wear around. The shower/tub combo needed better cleaning. Hair and dirt in the tracks and the drain was very slow so you stand in water. If the furniture was updated and the place was cleaned better my rating would have been higher.
Jun 15, 2021 · Vcobey73We stayed at the Triple Tree Cabin for Thanksgiving 2017. We have rented a different cabin in North Georgia for every Thanksgiving since 2009 and have a bit of experience here renting from both individual owners and management companies. This was our second time renting a cabin from Blue Creek Cabins. The Good: The property is beautiful, secluded, surrounded by trees and underbrush. Solitude! We saw only two other people coming or going during our 4 day stay. The cabin is roomy and laid out perfect for a family with children or even two couples including children. The wood burning fireplace creates a nice, cozy atmosphere. The Bad: Maintenance...ugh! This cabin is in desperate need of some TLC. Missing curtains in the kitchen, missing or burnt out light bulbs, missing light fixtures and smoke detectors. Cracked window in the kitchen. Mismatched chairs at the bar and fire pit. Inadequate utensils in the kitchen. There wasn't one knife sharp enough to cut an onion. The hot tub, though functional, is beginning to fall through the deck. The sauna was not working -- no heat. Overall, it's a quiet cabin in a great location but needs better maintenance to be fully enjoyable.
Dec 05, 2017 · Tim PaulusReally enjoyed staying here with family. The pictures are a little misleading, once in the driveway it is is a very steep walk up to the cabin, only made harder by bringing in luggage. They recommend that you don't come after dark if you aren't use to driving ok gravel road, take that SERIOUSLY, one of my aunts came after dark, disregarding our warnings and got stuck in one of the ditches because she stopped and started rolling down and freaked out. We were lucky enough to see some deer, rabbits, and while we didn't see them a family of bears got into the trashcan so do keep that in mind! You are in the wilderness!
