The establishment located at 925 Elbert St, Elberton, GA 30635, USA, known previously as Daynite Inn, has recently undergone a significant transformation and is now operating under the Quality Inn brand, part of the Choice Hotels family. This change indicates a commitment to upgrading facilities and services to meet a higher standard, making it a relevant option for those searching on "Hotels Near Of Me" platforms in the Elberton area.
Environment: Strategic Location and Upgraded Facilities
The Quality Inn in Elberton benefits from a highly accessible location on Elbert Street (GA-17), providing convenient access to the heart of Elberton, known as the "Granite Capital of the World." Its position ensures that guests are close to local businesses, the granite industry, and downtown attractions. The recent renovation and rebranding to Quality Inn signify an effort to modernize the property's environment. While the exact date of the full rebranding to Quality Inn is not explicitly stated in all public records, guest reviews confirm it is now operating under this new identity, with rooms described as "nice and accommodating" and "updated."
A notable environmental feature, particularly appreciated by guests, is the hotel's "nice Large parking lot," which offers "lots of room for big trucks and trailers and even hooked up boat with truck, no need to unhook." This is a significant advantage for travelers with oversized vehicles or those visiting the nearby lakes for fishing and recreation, as indicated by the presence of "charging plugs outside for your boats." This caters directly to a specific segment of travelers in the area. The overall aim of the refreshed environment is to provide a cleaner, more modern, and functional space for guests, moving away from its previous reputation. However, some past reviews, possibly from before or during the transition, mention lingering issues like cigarette smoke smell and signs of wear in rooms, suggesting that the renovation might be ongoing or that consistency across all rooms is still a work in progress for some guests.
Services: Courteous Staff and Essential Conveniences
As a Quality Inn, the hotel is expected to offer a range of standard services that enhance guest comfort and convenience. The staff is consistently described as "courteous and outstanding" in recent reviews, highlighting a positive aspect of the hotel's service. A 24-hour front desk is available to assist guests with check-in, check-out, and any inquiries during their stay. Guests can also expect complimentary WiFi throughout the property, ensuring they can stay connected for work or leisure. While some older information might suggest the absence of breakfast, as a Quality Inn, the hotel generally provides a complimentary breakfast, often including hot options, which is a significant value-add for guests. This is confirmed by some current information that indicates a "free daily on-the-go breakfast" is available. Other conveniences typically found at Quality Inn properties include an on-site fitness center for guests to maintain their workout routines. Daily housekeeping is provided to keep rooms clean and tidy. The hotel is also pet-friendly, allowing pets upon request for an extra charge, which broadens its appeal to travelers with companion animals.
Features: Renovated Rooms and Varied Guest Experiences
The rooms at the newly branded Quality Inn aim to provide comfort with updated features. While specific details on the scope of renovation for every room are not fully detailed, feedback from guests suggests that the rooms are now "nice and accommodating" and "up to date." Standard in-room amenities typically include air conditioning, a television with cable channels, and practical appliances like a microwave and refrigerator, which are highly valued by travelers for storing food and drinks. Private bathrooms are equipped with a shower/tub combination and complimentary toiletries. Other common features may include desks, iron/ironing boards, and free cribs/infant beds upon request for families. Despite the general positive sentiment about the renovations, some very critical past reviews (likely pre-renovation or very early in the transition) highlight severe issues such as heavy cigarette smoke smell in non-smoking rooms, burn marks on carpets, cracked and glued shower tiles, chipped and unclean toilet seats, and even bedbugs. These conflicting reviews suggest that while efforts have been made, some guests may still encounter varied room conditions. However, the more recent, positive reviews emphasize "super clean" rooms and new towels daily, indicating that the renovations and cleaning protocols are making a positive impact on many guests' experiences.
Promotional Information: Value, Location, and Unique Advantages
The Quality Inn in Elberton positions itself as a great value proposition, especially given its renovated status and essential amenities. Its status on "Hotels Near Of Me" platforms implies its accessibility and appeal to local users. The hotel's unique selling points include its large parking lot with ample space for trucks, trailers, and even boat charging plugs, which is a major draw for specific traveler groups. The strategic location is also a strong promotional asset. It offers easy access to Elberton's core attractions, including the Elberton Granite Museum, the unique Georgia Guidestones, and the recreational opportunities at Lake Richard B. Russell State Park. Proximity to local businesses and downtown areas also makes it suitable for business travelers. The availability of complimentary breakfast and free WiFi further enhances its value. The friendly and courteous staff, as frequently mentioned in reviews, also contributes to a positive promotional image. The hotel's affiliation with the Choice Hotels loyalty program means guests can earn and redeem points for stays, providing an additional incentive. While the conflicting nature of some reviews (positive post-renovation vs. very negative older ones) should be considered, the overall direction suggests a hotel striving to offer a clean, convenient, and value-for-money stay in Elberton.

Mar 14, 2025 · Sonny JhaveriThis place is a dump! Don't stay here! It was a non smoking room, but smelled heavily of cigarette smoke and there were burn marks in the carpet. The tiles in the shower were cracked and glued together. The toilet seat was chipped, old and not clean. It needs to be replaced. THEN THE BEDBUGS! YUCK!!! Brought a bug to the front desk and showed them. They wouldn't refund us the money, even though we could not sleep and left early. This place should be shut down. I'm reporting them to every agency I can.
Oct 07, 2016 · Vic JohnsonI stayed here when Hurricane Matthew caused evacuation of South Carolina Low Country. My stay was peaceful and enjoyable. I found my room to be clean, everything worked, and absolutely no roaches or other unwanted pests. I've managed a hotel myself for 10+ years and can say that management and staff are well on top of their job! Thank you to the management and staff! S. Castillo
Oct 10, 2016 · Karma Lover CastilloThe room wasn't too bad. The front desk clerk that works evenings is a pretty cool guy and makes sure you're squared away. There's no breakfast and no internet. Mi stayed a week and my last day I asked for a late checkout of 1 pm and they said no I have to pay for an extra night. Greed is a mother. I needed another stay at a hotel and went to the days inn up the street.
Jul 25, 2019 · Terrance CarmichaelThere was no toilet paper or shower curtain in the bathroom. The blanket on the bed had a giant hole cut in it. Had to go to the front desk to resolve these issues. The excuse given was recent renovations. There is a foul smell outside in the parking lot coming from the lot next store or just the area in general smells bad, but is not noticeable once in the room. Water stains on the ceiling. There is no breakfast offered as stated in the Google Maps app. If you are a light sleeper the nearby trains may wake you early in the morning. The only upsides were the bed was comfortable and the AC worked.
