I stayed here for a week, with a roommate, as part of a bike tour. This hotel accommodated a tour group of 155 and made some special provisions, such as letting people park their bikes in a big room and even in the hallways, and the staff even offered old pillowcases to the cyclists to wipe their bikes with, especially when it rained. Impressive. Also impressive was daily room service -- if not a full cleaning, a refreshing towel replenishment and making the bed if you haven't already, plus trash pickup. We have stayed here in many years past, and we certainly saw the changes for the better this year. Fully new carpeting and rehabs in the room, with fresh, bright colors. The beds and pillows were good. The shower was good, though I'd love soap and shampoo dispensers rather than the tiny bottles. It's very nice to have a microwave and fridge in the room. The under-the-window A/C works well enough, though it seemed to have a mind of its own; adjusting the temperature does seem to have some effect, but there's no continuing-fan option. Coffee and tea, and even hot chocolate and hot cider, were provided up front, including decaf coffee; the coffee was offered in canisters, and they had coffee available *most* of the time. Pretty solid breakfast offerings as others have said; the eggs are the made-in-a-bag variety, but they're fine. The only issue was a couple of significant design flaws in the room. As one other reviewer said, there's no light over the bathroom sink; you have only the overhead light in the main hallway behind the sink. Such a mystifying oversight. By the way, I hate how the toilet and shower/bathtub are separate from the mirror and sink. Obviously that's a difficult problem to remedy. Another mystifying problem is the lack of spots to hang clothes. Two hooks are provided on an open wall; that's the only way to hang anything. There's a tiny inset up front by the door where the luggage rack is placed; a bar could be inserted there to at least provide some hanging option. There's otherwise no closet or drawers or anything, just kind of an open shelf for storing clothes. Overall, the new management seems eager to please and is off to a good start. This place is a fine option at a good price.

Jul 28, 2025 · Neil HoldwayAny recent bad reviews seem undeserved. Room was recently remodeled with pleasant decor. The whole room was very, very clean and bed was firm but comfortable with plenty of pillows. Bedding was fresh and clean. AC unit worked well, as did the jacuzzi tub. Nice breakfast with eggs, sausage, and make-your-own waffles. Coffee was acceptable and always available, as were plastic-wrapped muffins. The hallway had only carpet pad down, so it appeared that there was new carpet to be installed soon. We didn’t use the pool, but it appeared clean and fresh. The only con was the lighting above the bathroom sink was terrible. The only light was a ceiling can BEHIND you, which wasn’t super bright and actually produced a glare in the mirror. This made doing hair and makeup at the sink very challenging, to say the least. A small bar of lights above the mirror would make a huge difference. All in all this was a pleasant place to stay, and even with 2 small dogs, very reasonably priced for the location right in Eagle River. We would stay here again if back in the area.
Jun 01, 2025 · Jenny FullerCheck in was awkward as staff seemed confused about what to do. She also announced out loud what our room numbers were. I politely informed her that’s a safety issue to verbalize a guests’s room number, when others are waiting to check in too. She replied that she was trained to do that. The building overall looks newly remodeled and is pleasant, clean and comfortable. It was very quiet. Breakfast was good with hot and cold foods. Morning desk staff wasn’t friendly at all; just doing their minimal job.
Jun 25, 2025 · Laura PrellwitzVery disappointed in the whole experience. Was not aware of the construction when booking, the room was unfinished, sink pipes were leaking all over the floor, construction dust on everything in the room, no usable elevator so hauled everything up stairs, front desk "staff" are rude, argumentative and hostile. Was hung up on for questioning charges on my credit card. No management to be seen or available and dialing the published phone number and pressing the correct prompt redirects to a disconnected line. Tried to leave a message and was refused to do so. I do not recommend this property - avoid at all costs. There are plenty of other places to stay in Eagle River.
Jun 10, 2025 · M CGood selection for breakfast. Could have wiped tables more often. Room was clean. Many updates which was nice. No elevator for 2nd floor rooms. I would stay again.
