Hello, fellow North Carolinians! When planning a trip, whether it's for business, visiting family, or a quick stop on a road trip across our beautiful state, finding suitable accommodation is often a top priority. In Salisbury, a city rich with history and a growing community, one option you might encounter is the Days Inn by Wyndham Salisbury, NC. This article aims to provide a clear, factual, and balanced look at this hotel from a local perspective, offering insights into what you can expect if you choose to stay there.
The Days Inn brand, part of the larger Wyndham Hotels & Resorts family, is generally known for providing economical lodging options, often catering to travelers looking for essential comforts without an extensive range of amenities. When considering a stay at any hotel, especially one that positions itself on the more budget-friendly side, it's helpful to manage expectations and understand the specific experiences that other guests have had.
For North Carolina residents traveling to Salisbury, whether it's for an event, to visit historical sites, or simply as a convenient stopover, knowing the ins and outs of your chosen lodging can make a big difference to your trip. We'll delve into the location, the services the hotel typically offers, and important feedback from past guests to help you make an informed decision for your next visit to Salisbury.
The Days Inn by Wyndham Salisbury, NC is located at 319 Bendix Dr, Salisbury, NC 28146, USA. This address places it in a commercial area of Salisbury, often easily accessible from major roads, which is a key advantage for travelers, especially those driving through North Carolina. Bendix Drive itself is typically a more industrial or commercial corridor, providing straightforward access to the hotel.
For North Carolinians, knowing that a hotel is conveniently located off a main road can be a significant factor. It means less time navigating unfamiliar city streets and quicker access to and from highways, such as I-85, which runs near Salisbury. This makes it a practical stop for those on longer journeys across the state or for individuals visiting Salisbury for specific purposes, rather than a leisurely downtown experience.
While the immediate surroundings on Bendix Drive might not offer a bustling pedestrian scene, the location typically provides ample on-site parking, a necessary amenity for most travelers in our state. Proximity to local dining establishments and essential services (like gas stations or convenience stores) often characterizes these types of locations, providing basic necessities within a short driving distance. Attractions in downtown Salisbury, such as the Rowan Museum or Bell Tower Green, would generally require a short drive from this location.
Days Inn properties typically offer a standard set of amenities designed to provide a comfortable and functional stay for guests. Based on general brand offerings and publicly available data for this specific location, here are some services you might expect:
It is important to acknowledge that some guest reviews have indicated significant issues with the condition and functionality of certain in-room amenities, such as broken microwave plates and missing fixtures. While these are listed as general offerings, confirming the current state of specific items upon arrival or with the front desk is always a good practice.
When evaluating the Days Inn by Wyndham Salisbury, NC, certain features are consistently highlighted by its brand affiliation, though guest experiences offer a more direct view of their real-world condition.
However, it's crucial to address the significant concerns raised in recent customer reviews. Guests have reported rooms being in "really bad shape," with issues like "cockroaches in the floor, near the fridge and even on the bed." Other feedback includes "paint missing," "fixtures missing," "NO HOT WATER," and "only one light in the bathroom," leading to descriptions of rooms as "very unsafe" and "everything is falling apart." These are serious concerns that prospective guests, especially North Carolina locals who value a reliable and comfortable stay, should be aware of. The sentiment from these reviews strongly suggests a property potentially undergoing significant wear and tear, or in need of substantial renovation and pest control measures.
As part of the Wyndham Hotels & Resorts portfolio, the Days Inn by Wyndham Salisbury, NC, may occasionally participate in broader Wyndham-wide promotions. While specific, short-term deals fluctuate, guests looking for ways to save could check for the following:
It is always recommended to visit the official Wyndham Hotels & Resorts website, or call the Days Inn by Wyndham Salisbury directly, to inquire about current promotions and to ensure you are getting the best available rate for your specific travel dates. If you wish to make a reservation or have specific questions about the Days Inn by Wyndham Salisbury, NC, you can reach them using the following contact details:
Calling the hotel directly can provide the most current information regarding room availability, amenities, and any concerns you might have after reviewing recent guest feedback.
For North Carolinians considering a stay at the Days Inn by Wyndham Salisbury, NC, it's important to approach this option with a clear understanding of its potential benefits and reported drawbacks. While some recent reviews highlight significant concerns regarding room condition and cleanliness, there are specific scenarios where this hotel might still be deemed "suitable" for a local traveler, primarily due to its functional aspects and an understanding of budget travel expectations.
The most compelling reason for a local to consider this hotel is its strategic location and accessibility. For those driving through Salisbury on a long journey across the state, or needing a quick, convenient stop near I-85, the hotel's address on Bendix Drive offers easy entry and exit. The availability of free, on-site parking is also a practical advantage, saving time and money compared to urban hotels where parking can be a costly hassle. If your priority is simply a place to rest your head for a single night, particularly if arriving late or departing early, and you're familiar with the general expectations of budget-tier accommodations, the location provides undeniable convenience.
Furthermore, the presence of basic in-room amenities like a microwave and refrigerator can be beneficial for those on extended road trips or who prefer to prepare simple meals or store snacks, helping to manage travel costs. The complimentary "on-the-go" breakfast, while perhaps not extensive, still offers a basic start to the day.
However, it is crucial for any local to be fully aware of the significant negative feedback concerning cleanliness, maintenance, and the overall condition of the rooms, including reports of pest issues and lack of hot water. For most North Carolinians, comfort and hygiene are non-negotiables, and these reviews suggest that the Days Inn by Wyndham Salisbury, NC, may fall short of even basic expectations in these areas.
Therefore, while the hotel's location and basic amenities *could* make it a suitable option for the most pragmatic, budget-conscious local traveler looking for only a very brief, utilitarian stop, it is essential to temper expectations and perhaps consider it only as a last resort or if recent, verified positive changes have been made to address the serious issues highlighted by previous guests. Locals often prioritize reliability and a comfortable experience, and current public data indicates this property may present a considerable risk in delivering on those fronts.

Jun 10, 2025 · Antonio GonzalezCan't believe this place carries the Wyndham banner. Possibly the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. If my family was with me, we would not have stayed. My room seemed to be in the middle of a redo. Paint missing. Fixtures missing. NO HOT WATER. (that is certainly a first for me) Only one light in the bathroom. Very unsafe. I should be getting a refund in the mail. Stay away is my best advice.
Dec 01, 2024 · Dale SeefeldtThis is the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. Didn't sleep none. I called the front desk 2 times I was told sorry I repeated myself telling him that the roach was crawling in the bed. I took pictures and videos of the roaches had all the lights on and they still was out. Let's me know that's the roaches hotel. So nasty. I sat there just looking for them all night couldn't sleep and was ready to leave first thing at day light.. They were every where .. don't get a room here unless u like roaches.... cause they are nasty and don't care that they have them... for them to say I'm sorry nothing else no money back in room or anything no moving us to a better room nothing... Only reason it got any stars is cause you have to click them.... NASTY PLACE!!!! We seen 9 roaches while we was there and yes it was nine cause 8 was killed when seen them. The 9th one ran under the bed while we was leaving.... NASTY NASTY PLACE STAY AWAY....
Jan 05, 2025 · Angela SullivanThis is less a "hotel" and more of a transient residence. Room needed lots of maintenance. Loud compressor motor outside window cycled every 45 minutes throughout the night. Toilet seat wasn't attached- use your imagination what happened next. Beer was left in fridge from previous occupant. Coffee/Breakfast listed in amenities- coffee only. At checkout, a school bus stopped in front of the hotel to pick up several kids of other guests (occupants?).
Dec 11, 2024 · shawn wattlesThe stay was what I needed. A roof over our head in a time where I needed it. Staff was wonderful. Note: Non-smoking is the way to go.
