We loved our stay here! Now keep in mind - it’s a hotel. Not a bed and breakfast. Yes, the continental breakfast was pretty basic - mainly cereal, some sausage rolls, yogurt and fruit. Coffee was a Keurig which was fine for us. We did have a refrigerator and microwave in our room. It helps to read what each room features when booking. The hotel itself was so charming! The history and architecture were amazing. Mike the owner was out but his assistant was very kind and made sure we had what we needed. The elevator was out of order but he offered to carry my bags- which I declined but someone else utilized. Central air in the rooms and clean sheets, towels, etc. The shower was fantastic! Great water pressure and my boyfriend said it was probably the best shower he’s ever had. If you are high maintenance- this isn’t your place. If you’re more about the romantic side and the feel of the history of the place - you will have as great of a time as we did.

Jun 30, 2025 · Lynn CotnerWe stayed here specifically for the whirlpool in room. There was not enough water to even turn jets on. Or shower fully even the next morning after our failed attempt to use the whirlpool. Owner came up and told us the water was hot, it was barely luke warm. Offered to let us leave at 9pm for a refund. We settled for a $30 discount as we didn't want to find a new hotel that late. Disappointing experience.
Jun 21, 2025 · Bethany ReasonerFirst time staying in a historic hotel. Room was clean, no fridge in the room but the bed was comfortable and we enjoyed our suite with the jacuzzi tub. It was a bummer to learn (through having to looking up/dig for information online and calling the front desk to confirm) that the bar/restaurant in the hotel was not open. *bbq place is apparently coming soon. Great place to stay if you’re in the area, it was fun to get a physical key to your room. I personally enjoyed the observe quiet hours from 11pm-6am. No continental breakfast but there is a small coffee bar at check in and this gets you out to support local breakfast restaurants like Mega’s Grill
Apr 16, 2025 · Linnea AnnRooms was clean and comfortable. Shower had amazing water pressure. It was quiet throughout stay. Beautiful historical building! Give them a try!! I’m sure they could use your support.
Mar 02, 2025 · Denise MusgroveI would rate this hotel 2 star. Rooms were a bit pricey @ $315 for 2 nights but we decided this would be OK as the website showed restaurant and bar in the hotel. Restaurant and bar were currently closed, however we did not get a reduced price. Continental breakfast consisted of dry cereal and breakfast bars. No other immenities to speak of. No one on duty at front desk the entire time we were there. Our keys were left on counter at the front desk. The stairway and hallways needed vacuuming. No separation between shower area and sleeping area, which we were not not aware until we actually saw the room. I get up earlier than my husband so was not able to shower or get ready for the day until he got up. Not acceptable for the cost of the room. Needed more than one tiny corner shelf beside sink for toiletries. Shower was nice. The toilet at least was in a separate room, so I could use the facility without disturbing my husband. The windows had shades but no curtains, which ruined the period look. The bed was comfortable , but only had one bedside table. The room was clean and nice coffee maker.
