I did not rate this place very good because of what the owner said and what I got. I did book for a 1 night stay for myself and my 88 yr old sister. We arrived early and were able to set our luggage inside the door and we left to meet up with other family for a family reunion near-by. While at the reunion I got a call from my niece telling me that I had to get my sister back and down to Ankeny, IA as her brother (my sister's son who had lung & brain cancer) was not expected to live. He wanted to see his mom before he died. I explained what had happened and the owner said that she would gladly refund me 50%. I thanked her for being so nice about this. It's been almost a month and I have not received a refund - I have called my credit card on Sat and they said nothing has come from there. Such a same as it is a lovely place but if the owner said one thing and than did not go through with it I won't give it good marks.

It's clear that the staff, including Melissa and Rose mentioned in reviews, work hard to ensure a positive experience for their guests. This suggests that the issue was with a specific business transaction and not with the overall quality of the accommodations or the general atmosphere of the hotel. This distinction is crucial for local users to understand, as the physical property itself is well-regarded.

Feb 03, 2024 · Judy MowryThe Lincoln Hotel is such a special gem in my home town. You can feel all the love that has been put into this space. This Hotel has been such an inspiration in starting my businesses because as a young girl I watched my Parents restore this building from beginning to end in the 90's. I spent much of my childhood cleaning out apartments while it was still a HUD apartment building. Over time my mother took over management and used her creative nature and formed the Lincoln Hotel into a Bed and Breakfast. When my parents were forced into retirement due to health issues they sold the Hotel to a wonderful family who made beautiful modern updates while preserving its natural charm. I couldn't be happier knowing how well kept this little piece of my history is being loved ❤ so grateful this is in my childhood community.
Nov 01, 2021 · Meredith NortonI called to make a reservation and Lady said she was booked, when I arrived To Lowde Iowa, I stopped by and there was no cars parked there,no lights on, very poor business, you should sell and let someone run the Motel,I ended up riding a 142 miles on my bicycle just because you didn't want to do business! Very poor!!!!!!
