My boyfriend and I booked this hotel for a 2 night stay for our trip to phoenix. First thing I noticed when we got inside was a sign on the desk saying that the pool was being renovated. This was extremely disappointing for us because we had packed our swimsuits in the hopes of going swimming. When we got to the room there was a bag of old delivered food outside of the door. When we got inside I noticed that the shower floor was extremely dirty. We went down and told the front desk, they seemed genuinely confused why it was dirty and immediately offered us a room change which we took. However, when they brought us to our new room the key card didn’t work because the reader had died. We then had to wait 15 minutes in the hallway for a mechanic to come and fix it. When we got into the room the first thing I looked at was the shower. While it wasn’t dirty like the last one, the floor still looked gross. Neither of us felt comfortable actually having our feet in that shower so we both wore our flip flops that we thankfully packed while showering. The room was also a downgrade since it was a connected room and we could very loudly hear the people next to us. We had pre booked the room and had chosen to include the breakfast option. The first morning was fine and I was pleasantly surprised by it considering the overall vibe of the hotel. However, the second morning while I was getting food a giant cockroach climbed up the wall and then fell back behind the counter. I was automatically put off by that and hardly wanted to eat. Then as we were walking down the stairs to the tables, another giant cockroach scurried by us. It was disgusting to see to say the least. The only good thing about this hotel is that the desk workers are polite.

Jun 14, 2025 · Emily RossExperience was not good from the start. Pulled into the parking lot and immediately noticed homeless people loitering in the area. Waited 10 minutes or more for an employee to check the desk when I walked in- there was no bell or number to call for service. We rented two rooms for our party and both smelled very off when we first walked in. The overall appearance of the hotel is very dated. Pool is out of service. One of the elevators is out of service and for two days have not seen anyone working on it. There are stains in the carpet of one room- very obvious that no attempt to clean them has been made. After two nights we have decided the AC units are not working well- we set the temp at 68 first night and it ran most of the night to keep it that way and it was still warm in the room. Second night we turned it down to 67 and again never felt like even 70 in the room. I would not recommend this hotel unless you just cannot afford anything else. The only positive is there is a lot of options for restaurants nearby. Desk staff except for the first night have been friendly and helpful.
Mar 31, 2025 · Terrica FlowersThe staff member that checked me in seemed annoyed. She asked me my name 3 times. I explained that I normally stay at EMBASSY SUITES and I wasn’t certain of the amenities given to guests/diamond members. She ran through it so fast I asked her to repeat herself. She then gave me my keys and when I turned to walk away I saw a sign about free cookies. She clearly noticed me reading the sign, because she suddenly yelled out, “ Do you want a chocolate chip & (some kind of nut cookie) I just shook my head no and walked away. She don’t mention that when I asked. She mumbled through explaining 2 bottles of water in my room and a $15 meal credit. That’s it. Nothing about FC location, or pool, or laundry. If it’s free laundry or not restaurant hours or location. Room- my room had a weird odor, my Airwick plug in, candle, or cleaning solution got rid of it. The room was muggy and sticking. Maybe because I was so close to the ice machine some type of moisture was in the room, clothes I left laying on the additional bed had some type of moisture on them. Carpet well past due for replacement. I’m almost certain there was blood on it. The bathroom light made a whistling sound the whole time it was on. The remote was like the kind they have on carnival ships. But the tv kept popping up an alert to click the guide button the remote to see what was on and the remote doesn’t have a guide button. TV’s are antiques and need to be replaced I will not return
Mar 21, 2025 · Marquita HolmesWe had two room there both on the first floor. The layouts are awesome, but they stink. The first was like moth balls and the second like mold. They did not tell us the pool is under construction either. The location is better to be desired as it is somewhat in the hood. Police were there all three days we were there.
May 12, 2025 · Jonathan OlmsteadIf you’ve never been to Phoenix I wouldn’t recommend this area. Expect a lot of homeless people around and for an armed guard to be at the QT down the block. If you want to check in early, even as a diamond member they apparently charge 25 dollars, which is crazy to me. I stayed here two separate weeks and both rooms on the first floor had fruit flies. The first week I thought it was because I tend to let the trash sit through the week (I travel weekly for work and have always done this, never had issues with fruit flies). The second week I took it out every night and I still got fruit flies in my room. The second rooms AC barely worked. I like my room to be 65-68 when I sleep and I had it set to 65. The auto fan usually will turn off when it hits that temp. The auto fan never turned off. In the morning I moved it up to see when it would turn off and the fan finally turned off at 70. If I’m being honest after the first week I meant to book elsewhere but messed up the reservation and got stuck here for a second. Would not recommend.
