Environment and Location:
Element Spring Valley is situated at 90 Spring Valley Market Pl. The "Market Pl" designation suggests a location within or adjacent to a retail or commercial complex. Guest feedback confirms this, describing the location as "in a big parking lot area." This indicates a practical, accessible environment, likely surrounded by various shops, services, and potentially dining establishments within a short drive or walk. While the immediate setting might feel "remote" due to the large parking lot expanse, the convenience of nearby amenities is generally a plus for travelers. Spring Valley itself is a village in Rockland County, New York, offering a mix of residential areas and commercial hubs. The hotel's position makes it a viable choice for business travelers, those visiting family, or tourists exploring the wider Rockland County and lower Hudson Valley region. The environment is more functional and commercial than scenic, catering to guests who appreciate convenience and accessibility to everyday necessities. Parking at the hotel is implicitly plentiful due to its "big parking lot area" setting, which is a significant convenience for guests arriving by car.
Services and Amenities:
Element Spring Valley, consistent with its brand, offers a range of services and amenities geared towards both short-term and extended-stay guests. A standout feature, as highlighted by guests, is the exceptional service provided by the staff. Reviews emphasize how "helpful the service was" and that the "front desk went above and beyond to help us during our stay." This dedication to guest satisfaction and willingness to assist sets a high bar for service quality. This level of personalized care significantly enhances the overall guest experience.
The hotel's rooms are a major draw, described as "fairly nice" and "more like a small apartment than a standard hotel room." This "apartment-like" design includes a crucial amenity: a full "kitchen" or "kitchenette." This feature is a "big bonus" for guests, allowing for self-catering, which can lead to significant cost savings and offer a sense of home comfort during longer stays. The presence of a "freezer" and "refrigerator" (as seen in similar Element properties, although not explicitly detailed here, it's a brand standard) further enhances the utility of these kitchen spaces. Beyond the kitchen, a noteworthy amenity mentioned is the "automatic espresso/coffee machine," providing a high-quality coffee experience right within the hotel, a step above standard in-room coffee makers or basic lobby coffee.
While not explicitly detailed in the provided reviews, Element hotels typically offer complimentary breakfast, evening receptions (called 'Relax: A Wine and Cheese Reception'), a 24/7 fitness center, and complimentary bikes to borrow, aligning with their focus on well-being and active lifestyles. The brand also emphasizes sustainable practices, which can appeal to environmentally conscious travelers. The "great shower" mentioned by a guest points to modern and well-maintained bathroom facilities. Given the emphasis on extended stays, amenities like on-site laundry facilities are also commonly found in Element properties, though not specifically mentioned here.
Features and Guest Experience:
The most prominent features of Element Spring Valley are its apartment-style rooms with full kitchens, its commitment to exceptional guest service, and its modern amenities like the automatic espresso/coffee machine. The "kitchen is a big bonus" directly caters to the needs of guests seeking more than a conventional hotel room, offering flexibility and cost-effectiveness for meals. The "great shower" and "fairly nice" rooms contribute to a comfortable and functional personal space.
The guest experience is overwhelmingly positive, primarily driven by the outstanding staff. The phrase "the front desk went above and beyond to help us" speaks volumes about their proactive and supportive approach to guest needs. This level of attentiveness ensures that even if minor issues arise, guests feel supported and valued. The "wonderful stay" feedback encapsulates a holistic positive impression. While one guest noted the hotel "isn’t anything spectacular" in terms of luxury or grandiosity, they found the core offerings (rooms, kitchen, service) to be of high quality, emphasizing functionality and comfort over ostentation. The "remote" feeling of the location due to the large parking lot is a minor point, but it doesn't detract from the internal hotel experience.
The overall sentiment from guests is that Element Spring Valley delivers on its brand promise for comfortable, self-sufficient stays backed by excellent customer support. It successfully provides a balance between the conveniences of a hotel and the independence of apartment living.

Mar 23, 2025 · Catesby WillisWonderful stay, good room; it's more like a small apartment than a standard hotel room. Luv the automatic espresso/coffee machine. Great service.
May 21, 2025 · Thomas CharltonThis hotel is a hidden gem. The room was very nice and comfortable. Kitchen in room is stalked with soap, sponge, paper towels, dishes, pots and pans, etc. There’s a full sized refrigerator/freezer, not just a mini fridge. The breakfast served here is better than the breakfast typically offered at most Marriott hotels (ex: avocado toast, breakfast tostadas). Every evening complimentary bread, cheese, and tea is set out in the main lobby for guests to try. Staff very friendly and helpful. Only complaints are the shower tile could’ve been a little cleaner and there are trains that run in back of the hotel a couple times each night. Otherwise this was a clean hotel overall and I was very happy with my stay here.
Dec 15, 2024 · Quincee WhiteWe stayed here for a family trip to New York. Room was a good size and had all the kitchen amenities we needed. The staff was very nice & friendly. Breakfast was good - choices of cold and hot foods. Kids enjoyed the indoor swimming pool & gym. We would visit again.
